“I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place in the city.“

“1st time here. Cool place. Really liked the old school turned into a bar and restaurant. Ambience enjoyable. Enjoyed sitting in half booth backs against the wall facing the windows. Great food and love loved the oysters sampler. She liked her tuna but a bit too spicy. Great service. We enjoyed a little walk thru the old school hallways.“

Called to let Rose know and she was nice and offered for us to either come back to grab after closing time or credit for the next visit. We're closer to the Flowood location, so we chose the credit. Pasta was filled with crawfish and shrimp. My husband enjoyed the boil bag. He said the lemon pepper sauce was good!“

“I've been wanting to eat at Char for a while now because my sister went there when her daughter was playing in a soccer tournament and she highly recommended it. They loved it so much they went twice in one weekend. Char is an hour from our hunting camp, and trips to the camp are always so busy that we never made it there. Yesterday, that changed. Our daughter wanted to go shopping, so we took the hour drive to Jackson and went shopping. We did not have the proper clothes to dine at Char, which was quite disappointing because I have wanted to go there for so long and we were minutes away from it. My husband fixed our problem - We literally went to the outlet mall and bought clothes to wear. I am so happy that we did. From start to finish, our dining experience was one of the BEST we have ever had. We have been to many high end steakhouses, and Char instantly became one of our absolute favorite meals ever. We were not even hungry because we ate a big lunch, which made the tate and quality of the food stand out even more. The crab claws and crab cake appetizers were amazing. The garlic mashed potatoes were also amazing. We did not love the creamed spinach, but it was good. Then there was the filet. The flavor explosion with every bite was unreal. The steak was so tender you could actually cut it with a fork. My daughter and i literally said mmmmmm over and over again during this meal. We ddi not have room for dessert, but I must mention the complimentary French bread. It was as good as the French bread from France at Epcot, and that is saying a lot. I guarantee we will make the hour trip from our camp again, and it won't take long before we do because I am already dreaming about the fabulous meal that we had there last night. It was unforgettable!“

If only they could enhance their customer service and make the wait feel a bit more bearable, I bet complaints would plummet. A little effort in these areas could transform the experience for everyone involved!“

“It was better than expected. Not a huge selection but there was a decent variety and most of my favorites. They had sushi which was nice, deserts, ice cream salad bar and your usual Asian dishes. About $15 a person with drink. Great service. Will visit again!“
