“This has recently become one of my favorite plant based spots in Nashville after trying them at Hunters Station last weekend, then having my boyfriend go back later that night and the next day to grab us food. The fish sandwich tastes exactly like fish and the cheesy potatoes compliment it to well. “A trip back to the golden age of nightclubs. A real prohibition/film noir vibe. Top flight warm and friendly service from bar and waiting staff. Bar manager Rhys is right across the whole operation. Also really knowledgeable about the cultural history of the venue - which has been rocking it since 1948. Incredible music from sax player / Nat King Cole voiced Derek Williams, plus singers Laura Mayo and Dianne Sherrill fronting a superb jazz combo led by a highly charismatic pianist. The burlesque show is end to end class with elegance and humour balanced perfectly by co producers Jonny Gowow (musical director) and Tessa Mendoza (hostess / lead dancer). Food also of equally high standard. The prime rib is a near religious experience!”

“Big thanks to our server Johnny who took great care of us for 2 breakfasts while visiting Nashville. Taro late was unique and worthy of revisiting. Baked goods were balanced and delicious. The meals felt so good, not heavy or greasey, proper portions. Drinks all made to perfection and the juices were even a life saver. “We met a friend here on our way back from the midwest. This was our halfway point. The kitchen closed before we arrived, but the staff let my friend order before it closed so we could have a meal ready for us upon arrival. The staff was super friendly and made meal suggestions. The food was delicious!!! As were the drinks. The staff was so nice and accommodated all our needs. We tried appetizers, main dishes, and dessert as well. “I had two coupons one for a free dessert because of my birthday and one for $10 off because I go every time I go to the cancer center at Vanderbilt and it’s right down the street from there, but the cashier said two coupons couldn’t be used at once but I had already redeemed them on the app and you only got an hour to use it once you redeem it so the manager came over and comped my sandwich since I couldn’t use the $10 off coupon and I’m very grateful for that, that’s customer service because he could have just said oh well but he took care of it and every business would be lucky to have a manager that puts customer service first”

The pork chop with clams was a unique dish to me, not something I’m used to seeing and it was excellent, we used the sour dough bread to dip into the broth. We nearly licked our plates clean! “This is the first one I ever been to Avo in over 7 years. I had a late lunch with a friend who is vegan and I did not know they were no longer raw vegan. She had the Nachos which were piled high and she liked them. I ordered the vegan cheese plate to share and the seasonal pot pie. Noah was the chef that day and he put his foot in it on Friday! My friend had to thank him and let him know how well he did. The pot pie had sweet potatoes on it which I was not expecting because it was a little too sweet for me BUT I had leftovers and it tasted better the next day! Fury was our waitress and she was so fun and attentive! She was down for our respectful shenanigans. The place is casual and designed like most places modern causal places. Open, open bench sitting in one side and a chair on the other.”

“Husband and I did bar dining on a Sunday with 815 reservations, great staff to patron ratio and we never were waiting on anything or felt like we were being ignored. Complementary valet with the hotel is included, I could see how if it were a busier evening or you did the prefixe dinner how you can go over that time and possibly end up paying, but we did not have an issue. Mushroom soup to start with was absolutely delicious and beautiful presentation. Husband had tile fish entrée and I had pork medallions which were both definitely tasty, but both a little over salted and the spice rub on the outside of the pork was a little over powering, but still a tasty flavor. Very delicious whiskey sour and Manhattan cocktails. No dress code is enforced but everyone seemed to have business casual/cocktail attire on, but there was only about eight other people in the restaurant. Saw several people around us getting oysters and caviar, so definitely would go here if that is your thing”

“This place is so nice. We got here around 9pm but stayed until the closed. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks and the Miso eggs and they were both delicious. We talked to the bartender Brandon and the server Peter. We had a nice chat about small town living and moving to the big city. Even though he has people at the bar he made the experience so personal. At the end of the night we meet the cook (who made the eggs) Devon and told him how amazing the eggs were. The drinks were beautifully made and would recommend the Crocodile tears and the Southern gothic. Both strong drinks but beautiful balance and great body.”

“How adorable is a secret garden theme bar! We came here to celebrate my birthday with a group of 12 and it was excellent. The T&R team was so accommodating, our food was delicious (get the taco platter for a group!) and our drinks were fabulous. Kat, our server, took excellent care of us and had fantastic recommendations for everyone. We also tried the adorable Secret Garden specialty batch cocktail drink (basically a flower bouquet!!!) and it was tasty and so fun to share. I know the themes change every so often, but I can't wait to see what they'll do next up here. Would recommend for a fun celebration with a group, girls night or a romantic evening! We requested an indoor spot because it's still cool outside, but I wish it was a few weeks later because the outdoor patio looks so inviting! I think we'll have to come back!”

My husband doesn’t even like sauce and he loved the sauce that came on it. The pickles were almost too close to the taste of cucumber (hate cucumber) but they were good too!The fries were okay. Nothing to write home about. Not sure why people like these pencil sized fries. The seasoning was okay as well. I like Zaxby’s fries better.The cheese curd appetizer was very good and the manager came to check on the taste of those. Forgot to take a pic of those because we were hungry.The burger meals were $15 each and appetizer was $11. Not terrible prices for these times.They allow dogs, it seems. So that is cool. The place was packed but we got seated pretty fast. It got even busier as we left. Overall, you must go in to try the burger or the onsite brewery (which I did not try, but not my thing to spend tons on beer).”

“We just returned from a fun long weekend in Nashville. Eating at Cafe Roze for dinner was our culinary high light. Their chili eggplant dish was unbelievable. What I wouldn’t do for that recipe…and the talent to prepare it to perfection. I wanted to continue vegetarian so I ordered the simple pasta - also done to perfection. Others at our table had the paprika chicken, wedge salad with salmon and vegetarian dinner bowl. All raved about their dish and ate every bite. This is a very special cafe. They were very attentive. It wasn’t particularly busy when we were there and Charlie and Bro could have easily been sitting down playing on their phones. Instead, they were cleaning. It was spic and span in the dining area!!! They were cleaning and changing out the bbq sauce bottles, wiping all of the tables, chairs, vacuuming a mopping the rugs, wiping off the chairs and booths. Really utilizing their down time. And that’s not very common to see these days, sadly. I had to brag on them in person, but also wanted to write a review also because many times the focus is always on the bad, so I am very happy to share a great review for a restaurant that was all around great today and especially to call out Charlie and Bri that were so hospitable and working so very hard! “The Nashville Palace was one of my favorite places that I visited when I took a road trip down to Nashville. I got lunch there, and while eating they had an amazing country duo that was playing up on the stage the entire time I was there. Best part about it was the concert was completely free! The food was great, a lot better than I expected. The atmosphere inside here is awesome if you are a fan of live music. Staff was friendly. The prices were reasonable. “This place is all about the details.- Parking directly below the restaurant was much easier than eating on Broadway.- We noted on the reservation this was an anniversary dinner. The menu and dessert plate had "happy anniversary" emblazoned across them. We're not anti-alcohol but didn't order any drinks; a manager brought out two glasses of Sicilian sparkling lemonade in lieu of champagne.- The steak options were brought out and explained, from origin to rarity to signature presentation. We just went for filets but man, we can see how the prices of A-5 Wagyu or an Australian tomahawk are justified. Even their more "standard" steaks are from a family-owned ranch operating 130 years.- The seafood tower had dry ice embedded so they could pour a little water and have it billowing fog on the table.- All the staff were tops. Our waiter, Brady, gets huge marks for personality, attentiveness, and depth of answers to our questions. This is a personal choice. I do appreciate the farm to table even though you need to ask a lot of questions if you have allergies. Still in 2024 we go there will severe allergies as if it is nothing to deal with. We stayed away from the dessert table seemed a bit to processed for a farm to table environment.”
