“I just wanted to give a shout out to their gluten-free pizza. It was absolutely delicious! I got it with quite a few toppings, and I asked them to fix the crust extra crispy and they did. It was phenomenal…the quality of the ingredients the sauce flavor, the right out of the oven hot crispy crust melty stringy cheese delicious (the picture was much later after it had been in the fridge, but look at the amount of toppings and that gorgeous, crisp crust!)

“We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Iza. We had fantastic crafted cocktails and an appetizer of crispy Brussels sprouts which were the best we had ever had. Two of us have some allergy restrictions and they could not have been more amenable to creating us delicious and allergy safe foods. They even brought us out a few specially created dishes that were truly the best we had ever tasted. The customer service is impeccable, from the bartender to our server, to the owners making our dining experience one we will remember! We will be coming back to Iza very soon and highly recommend!! “Calming atmosphere and classy interior. Service was excellent. Shared two pizzas between three people, which made for a perfectly light dinner. I tasted the Funghi Panna and the Bufala. Both had very thin bases, which I prefer, and intricately baked crusts. I enjoyed the freshness of ingredients, and even spotted a couple garlic cloves on the Funghi Panna. The Bufala was classically flavorful and tasty, but next time I’ll reach for something special.”

“Stopped here for dinner. Wonderful outdoor atmosphere. We travel a lot on the weekends with twin toddlers, this place was great for them. Short ride off I-40. Hands down the best cheeseburger I’ve had in a while. Terrific salads and don’t skip the Brussel Sprouts, they’re a treat!”

“I just picked up a little breakfast for a graduation gathering. Mini sweet potato biscuits and pastrami and pimento cheese. All were excellent, as usual! The out of town guests asked where this was from and plan to swing by on their way out of town if possible. The graduate asked if the pastrami could be part of her gift. The friendly staff take great care in crafting each snowball - moreso than any Maryland snowball stand I've been to. And I love that they repurposed an old bank to sell snowballs!”

“It takes a gratuitous dollop of awesome for our family to all equally enjoy a dining experience, but here we are after eating for the first time at Grata Diner in Carrboro (in Carr Mill Mall.) Not only is the ambiance phenomenal with the option of airy patio dining or comfortable indoor booths surrounded by large windows and high ceilings, but the huge portions of food (enough to completely stuff our bottomless pit of a 17-year-old) came out lightening fast and were piping hot, fresh, and delicious. But, I still haven't gotten to the best part, which was the extensive gluten-free options on the menu. We're not just talking gluten-free substitutes, but breads/waffles/fried chicken all made to perfection with gluten-free flour and doughs. Our family (which has two gluten-free members) thought we'd died and gone to Heaven. That said, all the other items had even the gluten tolerant among us licking our plates. That's not hyperbole: we literally licked our plates. As if all of that wasn't reason enough to make this our go-to family outing spot, the reasonable prices (especially for locally-sourced ingredients) sealed the deal. We're so excited to go back and try their new dinner menu!”

“I ordered the beef with broccoli and it tasted like a holy cow because it was so good. The Singapore mei fun is also very good, it is yellow color and yellow might just be my favorite color. The people there are also very cool especially the girl with the glasses in the front, she sounded like she was very enthusiastic about her job and I respect that. If you did not know, I go to this place every day and they are so good at making food. I feel like I could lift a cow after eating the food because it gives me so much energy. Also, the prices are extremely good in my opinion. The sesame chicken is only 12.95 and I could be full for the whole day (in my opinion). Not only that, the chairs are also very comfortable, I was dining in once and the chair felt like a chair. The environment is also very good, it made me feel like I was in a whole new world. Such a great location, today is my 209th day going to the place by the way.”

“This place used to be Vecino’s, and let me tell you, it is so much better now as Haw River Tap and Table! The staff is so nice, and the food is amazing. I have a high standard for food, and this place exceeded my expectations.

In January, I had the bbq sandwich and it was ah-mazing I wish I’d come back before they changed the menu! Next time I tried the fried chicken sandwich (with homemade pickles - perfect) with sweet potato waffle fries….and I’m not exaggerating when I say this is one of the BEST sandwiches I have EVER had. Truly mind blowing. The chicken was super crispy yet still very juicy, the homemade pickles were incredible, the bun was great/wasn’t dry at all which often happens, and the sauce they used just tied everything together. It was absolutely delicious.

“Guy Fieri should put this place on Diners Drive-Ins & Dives. Don't let the strip mall storefront fool you. Nor the kids working the counter. I am an Italian & ex-patriot Brooklyn native & this is the closest thing to my Grandmother's Sunday dinner that I have ever found in North Carolina. The house salad was all romaine no iceburg. The balsamic vinaigrette tasted homemade. There were even artichoke hearts in it. The mozzarella seemed to be hand breaded. The marinara tasted like it had been on slow cook since dawn. The garlic knots were very real. The penne was al dente & they seemed to give me a whole box of it. There was fresh shaved romano & fresh basil on top. It was like going back in time to the old neighborhood. My Southern wife special ordered the cheese lasagna with pesto & they even accommodated that unusual request. We did not have the pizza but for an authentic Sunday dinner it's the real thing. I wish they were not sold out of tiramisu I'm sure it's great too. If eggplant parmesan was on the menu it would be even better. The portions were so big we took half of it home in a box. Fresh sunflowers on the outdoor tables a very nice touch too. MOLTO BENNE!”

“This is definitely the BEST Chinese/Szeuchan food in NC! It was SO good! The restaurant itself was in a bit of a tough shape, but the food was absolutely amazing and the service was super speedy and incredibly friendly. The ingredients were extremely fresh too! We ordered the Salt and Pepper Shrimp and the Pan fried pork dumplings! The shrimp in our dish was literally caught just earlier in the morning and the vegetables and pork was farm fresh. Expertly made Chinese food. (We recommend the dinner menu!)”
