“The first time I ate here was today for lunch. The food was good and the service was exceptional. Just my opinion I like salmon Pattie’s cooked with minced onion and egg and either crumbled saltine crackers or half cup cornmeal not flour. The person with me got chicken pie which was ok but dark meat was used instead of white meat and a bit dry if it didn’t have gravy on top. But I do plan to return to try other dishes.“

“Just finished a breakfast here and it did not disappoint! The prices are great and portions are very generous. The staff are kind and helpful. They make you not only feel welcome but also special. You can tell they take pride in their work and dishes. I can only speak for the breakfast at the moment, but I’m looking forward to coming back to try their lunch and dinner menu. “I had the pulled pork BBQ platter . The BBQ is delicious ! They give you large portions. The onion rings are the best I’ve had in a long time . The bake beans could be improved they taste like out of a can and not made fresh . They only offer one kind of slaw the vinegar which was good . My grandkids loved the shrimp! ! “I’ve had French toast at Cracker Barrel a lot over the years. Today I had the worst I’ve ever had. It was soggy inside even though the outside was nice & brown. It must have been soaked in the egg instead of dipped in it. I discovered this before I had used a drop of syrup on it. It’s usually puffed up & today it was flat. Very disappointed!“

Their Greek Salad with grilled chicken and their Chicken Caesar Salad are great. The chicken is marinated, seasoned, and grilled, making it savory and juicy.

Their traditional bone-in Buffalo Wings are excellent. The largest wings I've had so far.

Their Strombolis and Calzones are great. Stuffed with your choice of options and baked golden brown. And a large is large. I can eat two to three meals from each.

Update 23Jun2024: If I get a stromboli from here, it is usually the Steak Special Stromboli. But today, I tried the New York Stromboli with ham, pepperoni, cheese, and other stuff with oregano and other spices on the crust. I can mumble, "WOW!" and "YUM!" But I can't say anymore because my mouth is full.“

“I used to come here all the time as a kid back when I lived here before moving to Florida when I was 7. It was always my favorite place to get breakfast. Now 20 years later I'm back in town for a cousin's wedding (Congrats Alec!) and I simply had to eat here once before heading back down to Gainesville. Needless to say, the Gravy Biscuit is just as incredible as I remember it being, and SHOCKINGLY LESS THAN $4.00 FOR SOMETHING THIS GOOD, IN THIS ECONOMY. HOW??? Both the biscuits and gravy are both absolute perfection. I NEED you guys to open a franchise down in Florida so that I can actually get a proper breakfast every morning before work and maybe Gainesville will be slightly less miserable (You'll need to work hard on that though because the Gators are absolutely beefing it this year).

Parking: Pretty easy to get in and out of, didn't know they had a drive-thru but it was a pretty long line of cars when I was there earlier, so I just walked in and got a to-go order, then drove down to Southern Lunch (they were closed but the parking lot was still open) and ate breakfast in my car while watching some trains go by. Overall a good morning.“

“The Lexington location on Talbert I personally believe is the best one. Their sweet tea is ALWAYS on point! Known for their grand fluffy biscuits that will literally melt in your mouth fresh out the oven. Breakfast is served all day and they're open until 3. I have yet to try their lunch because I love the breakfast so much my favorite is cheese grits and a side of sausage every now and then or when I have my grandkids I'll get the pancakes. These aren't just any flapjacks; they're sweet and soft and fluffy and you barely need any syrup. 10/10 recommend“

“I love me some Waffle House! I usually only get breakfast items, but today, because of Savanah (Savi); I ate a great deluxe burger with cheese, bacon and grilled onions, lettuce and pickles with eggs on the side. It was so delicious, fresh and juicy. I didn't know it would be that good!

“Huevos Rancheros is on the menu, but we've gone to several restaurants in southern NM and THEY DON'T HAVE CORN TORTILLAS to even make it with. Not Alamogordo, Artesia, Carlsbad, or Roswell so far. WHY IS IT ON THE MENU if you don't even have the right ingredients?!? In Alamogordo right now and the server just told us they're "out of the stuff to make that". We should have gone to Alamo Grill.“
