“My husband and I visited Momo's Master for the first time this evening and had a wonderful experience. We tried Steamed Momo's with veggie filling served with 2 of their signature dipping sauces, and Himalayan Fried Rice (vegetarian). It was great to see the option for both masala tea and coffee on the menu, especially in a downtown Chapel Hill restaurant, therefore we had to try both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan Coffee, and we were glad that we did. I usually do not write reviews but when the food is that good, I do. The momos were one of the best we have had so far and the flavors of both the signature sauces blended well with that of momos. Himalayan fried rice was hot, spicy and very good. The Punjabi guy, Sukhi, and Usha (from Nepal) - both chefs, were great; Sukhi came and asked us how everything was and ensured that it was to our liking. Both Himalayan Masala Tea and Himalayan coffee tasted good, especially Himalayan Masala Tea was really good. The place has a nice, comfortable ambiance. We look forward to visiting the restaurant again and enjoying the food in near future. Highly recommend.“

“Nice old gritty yogurt shop, a Chapel Hill staple. Yogurt/cones are great. The sloping, hand rail-less, sharp-edged brick steps are a death trap, no idea how this passes any city standards. But the yogurt is good and you get to watch people trip on the steps as they try to get in and out.“

“We were married at the Teahouse in early November and could not have asked for a better night. We've loved the Teahouse since before they became an established wedding venue, so we knew it would be the perfect spot for us to celebrate.

They've been making a lot of gorgeous changes & updates to the property that really make it special! The grounds are full of spots for gorgeous photos, and the indoor/outdoor spaces are perfect for the flow of guests dancing, mingling, drinking and eating throughout the night.

Sandy, the venue's do-it-all person, was extremely helpful, informative, laid back and put together from the start. I believe it was Sandy who designed the custom cocktails we chose for the wedding - both used teas from the Teahouse and were so delicious. We got a ton of compliments from our guests on both the food (tortellini! so good!) and drinks. Thanks again Svetlana, Sandy, and team for all of your help making our special celebration magical.“

“The best thing here is the gelato. It’s super high end. Smoothies >$7 latte >$7. Served in to go cups. Not a ton of natural lighting, but some seating decent for working. The gelato is really nice actually, esp spicy mango.

“Since I moved to Chapel Hill, Lucha Tigre has been my favorite restaurant. Their service and quality can’t be denied, but I am so upset that the Asian Glazed Chicken (my favorite dish) has been removed from the menu.“

“I found myself initially confused by the menu, particularly since almost every dish contains Kale, and I simply don't like Kale. And then more confusion because the names for the various dishes didn't really explain the taste, and the large number of ingredients in each dish didn't really give me a sense of the flavor that I would experience. So I went with a build your own bowl, choosing the ingredients on the menu that made me salivate. The bowl that I put together (with a suggestion by my daughter of a matching dressing and adding an ingredient with crunch), turned out to be out of this world, tasty, different, original and fresh. And the bowl and portions are huge. The seating and atmosphere is beautiful. 5 Stars all the way!“

“Visited for the first time tonight and we will definitely be back. Right off the bat, the employees were friendly, professional, and accommodating. Our water glasses stayed full and our cocktails were delicious. The food was phenomenal—appetizer, entrées, and dessert. The presentation was lovely and the taste was divine. The Whipped Feta & Fig Crostinis were a surprise hit! My husband thoroughly enjoyed the Red Cream Paneer Curry and I couldn’t get enough of the Tagliatelle Pasta Alfredo with Wild Mushrooms and Shiitake Bacon. The ice cream sundae was great, too! It was my first time tasting non-dairy ice cream that actually tastes good! Given the quality and care taken to provide vegan food that is THIS tasty, I think the pricing is fair, especially when compared to other local cafés/bistros/restaurants in the area. Casual, kid-friendly atmosphere, but still nice enough for a date night. Can’t wait to come back!“

“I am in town and really wanted to eat healthy. This place was close and the young man who wanted on me was very helpful. I told him I had never been there before so he explained all my options. The proportions were reasonable, but probably for a grown man it might not be enough. I actually didn’t put any protein on my bowl because I’m a vegetarian so this was a great option for me. The flavor was wonderful. I think it was one of the best dishes I’ve ever had in a long time. They could keep the bar a little more cleaned up and the avocado was bad so I asked him to give me a fresh avocado which she did without any complaints . I will go back here and eat, and I think the prices are reasonable as well. Just needs a little your observation to the details around the restaurant. Keeping everything fresh is really important us to setting like this. I love it!“
