“I have known the Pioneer’s hospitality for many, many years. Growing up in Haywood County, there were only a handful (or less) restaurants that made their food from scratch and it was served with the friendliness only family can provide. Today, I can reminisce those memories at the Pioneer Restaurant, which has steadily supplied the same small town characteristics over decades. There, you’ll find great, homestyle cooking (and cute pancake art for kiddos), a blast-from-the-past atmosphere (with bar and booth seating), and staff that greet you as though you are related. You’ll find family here (not just figuratively- it is family owned and operated with “adopted” kinship). The food is always fresh, the desserts are always delectable, and you just can’t find any other establishment with as many faithful patrons. Do yourself a favor and stop by for a meal whilst reliving a simpler time.“

“Took some visiting family to Heritage Singletree Kitchen last night and we all loved our dishes. I have celiac disease and am often relegated to a salad when dining out. Not a this fine dining restaurant! Last night two of us ordered the halibut with beure blanc sauce and it was outstanding! We started our meal with their tried and true crab fritters….delicious! (It’s rare I can eat friend food but Singletree has a dedicated gluten free fryer!) Our dining partner ordered the pork chop and he devoured it, everything was perfect from the cocktails to the expanding dessert menu. We shared the flourless chocolate torte while our gluten loving friend had the fried ricotta donut holes. Perfect evening.

“We visit this place every year for our anniversary trip to the mountains. The food is always top notch. The servers have also been very good over the years. Strongly recommend advance reservations as it get booked up quickly. The menu offers quite a variety of items and I've never been disappointed in 15 years. It's a small place so things are tight but the food is worth it.“

“I usually order to go when I am too lazy to make a home-cooked meal. The food is good, generous, and well worth the price. I like different restaurants for different reasons. This falls into my "guilty pleasures/greasy spoon" category of restaurant, not because its a dive but because it is simple, decent, southern comfort style food. Don't go for Michelin Star or for fusion foods, but when you want something comforting like grandma would have made it. I give it a 5 star rating not just for its food, but the heart and spirit of the owners and employees. I have seen from behind the scenes, more than once, how this restaurant helps people and the community-for example with food for flood victims and fundraisers for local schools. Their compassion alone makes it a business worth supporting, the tasty fried country steaks, okra, rolls and desert are just the icing on the cake.“

“All of their food is excellent! My favorites are cheeseburgers, hotdogs and biscuits and gravy! They have a high sanitary grade even though they are in a food truck. The only drawback is they have only outside seating and close at 2:00 pm..“

“My fiancé and I dinned in tonight with our 4 month old son for Valentine’s Day! The food was absolutely out of this world! Steak was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were literally to die for, the asparagus was crunchy and fresh, and our crab cake🤤🤤🤤 everything was so perfect and the atmosphere was perfect. You could taste the love that’s made into the food! We felt so welcomed with our baby, it was our first real big dinner since he’s been born! Mama had to eat!🍴🥩 We love Fuego! Our server Maddie (I believe that was her name), was also fantastic! Checked in with us and made sure everything was perfect! If you’re wondering if you should try Fuego…answer is, YES! “We recently had breakfast at Waylon and Honey and our group just kept growing. The staff was very accommodating and gave us a private room. Amanda out did herself as she remembered all of our18 orders when we couldn’t even remember what we ordered. She never seemed rattled by the size of our group and always had a smile. Oh, by the way, food was served in a timely manner and was delicious. We will be returning soon.“

“Glad we tried Sauced!! We were in Waynesville shopping today and several restaurants on Main Street were closed. So we decided to try their restaurant because we heard good things. Best decision of the day. The food was awesome and prices average. Drinks were cold and refreshing. Our waitress was very friendly and did a great job getting our food and checking on us.As I said the food was out of this world good and fresh. We had mozzarella sticks, fried pickles, Quesadillas, burger and fries and one giant slice of pizza. I highly recommend this place.“

“For anyone who doesn’t already know about this lovely gem on Main Street in Canton, North Carolina - You are missing out! Healthy, unique, and delicious food finds, wine and beer options, a beautiful gift shop, and mimosas by the glass or pitcher! The staff is the friendliest I’ve ever met! There is also an ice cream selection! We have been several times now. Today, I had the Hippie Bowl and brought home chocolate zucchini bread. Amazing!!! Don’t think twice - GO! Thank you Grateful Table for giving us this sweet place to enjoy!“

“Great sports bar right in downtown Waynesville. Walking distance from main street shopping. Full bar, wine, & many draft beers. Wings and chef egg rolls are two of our favorite dishes; burgers are also amazing. They are open late several nights, so check their hours- it's our go-to for a late night meal. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Many large TVs for watching sports.“

“Food cook exactly the way it should be. Great service. ALL the staff were so pleasant and friendly. The banter back and forth between them was absolutely entertaining and made us smile. I have ate at multiple waffle houses in multiple states for years and this one is my favorite by far. A lot of the others act like you are an interruption in their day. No smiles no greetings and you constantly have to ask for refills. Not the case at the one in Canton. We will be stopping in there again on our travels through the state.“

“I was very impressed with the Waffle House today! It was like going back in time to the old Waffle House I remember. The cooks, Tray and Shawn, did an amazing job with the food, and Jessi was an excellent server. The entire staff, including Lela the manager, was upbeat, smiling, welcoming, and happy.
