“While trying to find a spot for lunch on New Year's Eve, we decided to eat here since the menu had a lot of variety. Actually eating there was great - the restaurant was cozy and we sat by the wood burning fireplace. The proprietress was so friendly and had a fun conversation about her father and Greece. Food was generously portioned and very tasty. If I'm ever in the area again, I'll definitely come back.“

He quickly brought her a cold rag with ice and chocolate chips to help her blood sugar. He was very understanding and caring and kept checking back to make sure she was ok. “My server’s name was TiAnna and I will say that she is one of the best that I have ever met.Not only does she have a great smile, but her personality matches it perfectly. I watched her as she waited on other tables and she treated them all with same amount of respect and curiosity. I also think she would make a great bartender, because if she does ever becomes a bartender I would probably become an alcoholic.“

We ordered 2 sushi rolls and they were both really great. I would definitely order sushi from them again.

The hibachi meal and the noodles were a little disappointing. I'm not picky but the sauce on the meat and veggies didn't have a great flavor. I also did not expect sauce on the meal. Had I known it would come with it, I would have asked to leave it off. It was a lot of food and the rice was really good.

“I do not know what culinary sorcery they have used for their pancakes with vanilla bean syrup but l am here for it. Those are the best pancakes I have had in my 50 years of life. The sausage patties, the biscuits and gravy, the holiday mimosas, and the service was unbelievable. Everyone was so friendly and you can tell they all work as a team. “What an awesome early dinner! We had drinks, which I could have drank so many of them! We had the 6 pc wings and no doubt the best wings I've ever had. Then the real prize...my boneless ribeye! Melt in your mouth delicious!! My date had the 6pcs. Of fried oysters with fries and slaw,everything was so wonderful and our service was on point!“

“So I’ve been avoiding this place thinking it was a chain , after many disappointing meals at Gypsy queen(used to love them they went down hill, and holy moly what a dirty kitchen) I decided to try Mr. Kabab, and I was not disappointed in the least bit. After talking with the owner you can tell he has a passion for his home food. He was a chef In the Middle East and everything is home made and hand made. Even his grape leaves take 10 hours to make. This is the best middle eastern food in town hands down… I wish he would change the storefront to better represent his quality of food. !!! Also the kitchen was very clean , which is a must for me .“

FYI this is NOT affiliated with Asheville Brewing Co on Merrimon Ave or Coxe Ave. The pizza here is SOOOOOO much better, so make sure you don’t get them confused. I almost didn’t go because I’ve had ABC pizza and been disappointed so many times I stopped going but this place absolutely slaps!! Their pizza of the month is always worth a trip!“

“I heard about Biscuit Head about a month ago, through a Facebook ad. We were in Asheville to visit Biltmore after Christmas,and visited Biscuit Head on Biltmore Ave twice in two days! The whole staff was so friendly, and the vibe in the restaurant is so fun!! Everything we had both days was fantastic! I ordered the Mimosa fried chicken biscuit both days, and the biscuit donuts, as well! I had to keep apologizing to my family because I was making too many “yum” noises. My husband said the sausage gravy was the best he’s had in ever, and your coffee was great!! When we left yesterday, we genuinely intended to come back for Brunch #3, but the moods were not in our favor today. We look forward to coming back next time we are in Asheville!!“

“We’ve had Italian from the West Coast to the East Coast - this is definitely worth the stop! I had the chicken parm and my wife had the baked ziti. I was a huge fan of the chicken, it was fantastic! The sauce was a bit acidic, while I prefer hints of sweet sauce instead. We’ll be back next time we’re in the area. I’d like to try the Sunday Gravy next time!“

“First time at this brewery after 5 months living in the area. There are a lot of great breweries in WNC and this one is among them. The taproom is really spacious and the outside area is even better since it’s out of town. The concert area outside looks really cool and they even have a stage inside too. The beers were quite good as well. I’m looking forward to another trip out to try some more beers!“

Incredible Tacos and Torta at Taquira El Chuy!

I recently had the pleasure of stopping by Taquira El Chewy, and it’s easily the best taco truck I've ever experienced. The Pastor Torta was out of this world—juicy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavor in every bite. I also tried two Pastor Tacos, and they were just as fantastic, with a deliciously soft tortilla and a mouthwatering balance of spices. My wife loved her three Chicken Tacos, which were tender, fresh, and cooked to perfection. We washed it all down with two bottles of Yoritos orange soda, which paired perfectly with the food. The team at Taquira El Chewy clearly puts heart into every dish, and the food quality and service were top-notch. If you're a fan of authentic Mexican street food, this is the place to go. I'll definitely be coming back for more and recommend it to everyone in the area!“

“Our group of three stopped for lunch one weekday recently. We ordered a seafood soup, which was just divine; a lunch noodle special that was good; and a child’s fried rice. Portion sizes were great. The outdoor service was hit or miss and it took a very long time for our lunch to arrive. The quality of the food will bring us back but be pretty downs more time here than you want if need to.“

“Me and my wife are here at cornerstone restaurant today and the food was absolutely delicious again the spaghetti and the meatballs, the Snickers cheesecake and Claire our waitress. She was a diamond for sure. Great personality. Fast response brought our food out very quickly and everything was A+plus would like to give her a big shout out. Even if the food was bad !
