“If I could give y’all a hundred stars I would! We had about 30 people coming together for my birthday. I had been in communication with a different restaurant (Cowfish) for over a month preparing because 30 people at a restaurant is NOT a small feat! They decided to give me a hard time the night of and were not really willing to accommodate us. We decided to find another restaurant. I immediately knew that NO ONE was going to be able to accommodate 30 people on a Saturday Evening but I was wrong! BONEFISH to the rescue! Before we even got across the street the tables were pushed together and prepped with menus water and silverware! Not only that even with a party of our size everything was executed perfectly! The food was delicious, we had a great time, the managers were friendly, and our server was the GREATEST (especially to be new to serving large parties.) I even loved my little art work on my to go box! We love intentionality! Shout out to Rasheive! All in all it was a 10/10 night, with 10/10 people in a 10/10 restaurant! Definitely coming back. ❤️“

“The Depot on First has been open since October 2023 and since then has simply excelled as the only fine dining restaurant in the area. I think much of their success is based on the fact they not only maintain consistency in areas such as attention to detail, exceptional customer service and quality culinary experience, they also continue to evolve and adapt to changing tastes, trends, and customer preferences. I enjoy seeing their ongoing tasting and intimate dining events, of which I will have to attend at some point. Another cornerstone of success for many restaurant's is Authenticity, and this Farm-to-table restaurant continues to prioritize authenticity by sourcing quality ingredients directly from local farms and producers. They don't take any shortcuts when it comes to freshly prepared food to save time which is why I will wait patiently in the elegantly decorated intimate, warm and inviting dining room for my entree upon every visit. No Rush! Just me bring me another perfectly prepared old fashioned. Don't hesitate to step outside of the box and try something new on the menu, I am not a fan of porkchops, but I have become a fan of theirs. This is an environment that will put a smile on your face, Ben and staff are simply exceptional, every visit feels like coming home to dinner. We had Jerk shrimp, whiting, catfish, jumbo shrimp, fried okra, mac and cheese that tasted just like your Mamas ❤️ The best two things were the collard greens and the honey cornbread! “I love everything about this place, the food was so amazing! I went with a friend and we shared Saltado de Pollo, Chicken Chaufa with sauces (we asked for them), Pineapple Juice and Chicha Morada. The service was great and it was a wonderful experience. I have never had Peruvian food before, and I enjoyed this experience throughly, not to mention it was very traditional. I loved it so much! “We celebrated my birthday at The Oak last night and had an amazing experience. Our server, John, was fantastic, and the Wright Flight cocktail is a must if you love gin. We loved the bone marrow starter, my husband’s ribeye was incredibly tender, and the confit duck tasted like fall on a plate. The Espresso Martini Affogato and peanut butter pie were perfect desserts. They even sent us home with mini banana breads! The Oak is officially my new favorite spot in Raleigh.“

We were at a Bankhead booth facing a room where a party was happening, and we watched people go in and out the entire time. A man in the party kept eyeing us with a frown, and shutting the door. It was almost comic. Where else were we supposed to look? The other thing is one of balance...everything felt so swift. Our reservation was at 6:30, and we had wine, salad, entree and dessert, and were out the door by 7:25. For $240, having a more elegant environment with a bit of time to linger and savor would have been ideal. Still, the food and service were exceptional!“

“The best Mexican food in Raleigh! Unique from other places around, it has a much fancier vibe and more upscale food but still at very reasonable prices. The food leans into some traditional Aztec fare and offers some unique items.

The service is outstanding, especially our waitress Ginny. They also have delicious drinks and solid bartenders with great drink specials.

Their lunch specials are very reasonable during the week and their lemonade is yummy.
Weekends we get the 10 piece whiting platter, fried shrimp, and their chicken wings. Yup you heard me right …their chicken wings are so good. We ask them to fry the French fries crispy and get mamba sauce to dip them in. Their hush puppies are good especially when you dip it in mamba sauce. Everything is tasty and I love the cornmeal crispiness of the fish, it’s great on the heat up the next day.
Their prices went up a little since the summer time, but that’s to be expected since they are popular and well..the economy.“

If you order your food online and have a family emergency, you are not allowed to cancel the order or get a refund! I was told, "come pick up your food before you go to the hospital with your child. We don't like to waste food." Instead of them being empathetic, issuing a refund and giving the food that was prepared to staff member or server. DO NOT ORDER YOUR FOOD IN ADVANCE. “Mayflower has been around for decades and the regional locations appear to have survived hard times like the pandemic. This location has friendly staff. The food is no frills seafood and it’s good. This is what we would call back in the day a fish house. The servings are good value too. Typically enough for 2 meals.“
