“Our family went last night to celebrate my husband’s and son in law’s birthday. I have to say I’ve heard good and bad but let me tell you they had some of the best customer service I’ve ever seen! From start to finish, food, singing Happy Birthday not once but twice. They even gave the birthday boys fried ice cream complete with chocolate sauce and sprinkles and a candle to make a wish.The entertainment and just being the center of attention was WONDERFUL ❤️ Thank you to everyone who made our night with you a sweet success. We will be back!”

“My wife and grandson and I decided to go to Jay's 108 for a early dinner, it was 430 , I was a little skeptical because the last time I had a burger somewhere else it wasn't good, so my grandson and I both got the classic smash burger, my wife had smashed fries, let me tell you it was possibly the BEST burger I have ever had WOW it was good grandson said the same , awesome burger guys, the service was exceptional ABBY was great . “The shrimp with cashews is my favorite. I’ve had it at other places in Goldsboro but other places have so much “fillers”. Here you get a large portion and the shrimp are large. I never liked hot and sour soup until I had it here. Plus, staff are so kind and so friendly. It is the only Chinese place I go to now.”

“Went there today (July 4th) for my sons birthday...he absolutely loves this location and after today so do I!! The manager Destiny (I believe was her name) was AMAZING. We already had a large crowd so I called beforehand and she was so nice about it. Then when we got there she was so great the whole team really was great! They joined in singing happy birthday to my son, gave him a free milkshake. Unfortunately my father is on blood thinners and scraped his arm and Destiny brought him. Bandages and gauze and was totally accommodating of all of us. She deserves the biggest raise. I'm a store manager myself in retail and would love a leader like her on my team!!”

“We are out of town and was looking for a place to eat. Lighthouse Kitchen was a great choice. I had the fish plate with fried okra and coleslaw. It came out so hot and the okra was delicious. Not to be out done, the fish was so very good. We were glad we stopped and will definitely stop again on our trip this way again.”

“Awesome service. Our server was truly amazing. The food wasn't the best. The spaghetti with meat sauce tasted like jar sauce with ground beef, but there was no seasoning whatsoever. The fried shrimp appetizer was better, and came with breaded onions and peppers. I enjoyed the vegetables more than the shrimp. The salad and breadsticks were my favorite part of the meal. “Well riding across North Carolina on the Mountains to Coast cycling event, we spent the night of October 9 in Goldsboro. Had dinner at Torero’s. It was probably the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The flavors were delicious. The owner stopped by and chatted with us. Said he cooks everything from scratch each day. He uses seasonings and spices other Mexican restaurants don’t use. Highly recommend a stop here if you’re in the area. I’m from Michigan and I’ll be back.”

I appreciated his calm demeanor and attitude towards me once he began taking my order. I’m sorry I didn’t get his name but I hope management can figure out who he is and relay the review with him. Way to go Shug! 🙏🏻”

“My family and I have eaten at Mimmo's since they were in their original place back in 1985. Everything on the menu is awesome and is hand-made. The Tortellini alla Panna, the Gnocchi, the Spaghetti and Meatballs, and the Sausage and Peppers are all highly recommended as is the Garlic Cheese Bread. Mimmo even suffered through me adding Italian Sausage to the White Pizza (it's awesome and he should really try it).And definitely finish the meal with Cannoli - it's the best I've ever had and I've travelled all over.”

“The store inside and outside is always clean, trash cans are empty. Parking spaces are wider than normal spaces. You don't have to worry about someone swinging their door open and hitting g your car. Lots of variety inside the store to choose from. Always a special going on for Rewards customers. Really good specials at the food service area. Lots of beverages to choose from, hit and cold. Large bathroom, always clean. Employees are very polite and friendly. Handicap accessible everywhere.”

“CAREFUL when you order anything sour with sour spray .... I'm giving 5 stars because I've never been let down by the service at pelicans before my list visit. I ordered 3 large shaved ice, was never offered the cone on top which now that I think of it I haven't been offered or received the cone the last couple of times we have went but anyways we ordered 3 large shaved ice the first one blue raspberry with sour apple and sour spray (our go to favorite) the second was watermelon and sour apple with sour spray and the third was watermelon and sour tsunami with sour spray. We like the sour spray and like sour stuff but these were unbearable it tasted like half of the liquid in the cup was sour spray and nobody could even eat theirs. All three went down the drain and $20 wasted. Not sure who the girl was working but I've never seen her before. If she is new it's understandable and I realize that we asked for sour spray but it usually tastes like a couple stays are added to the top and maybe a couple midway down the shaved ice but the rim of the cup was full of sour spray droplets so I know she spray those things down. I didn't want to go all the way back to Goldsboro to complain and I don't expect my money back because I realize everyone is different and someone may have possibly liked it but we ( again enjoy sour stuff ) couldn't bare it. I will be going back because we usually do at least once every couple weeks and sometimes multiple times a week on summer days and I'm going to mention it to the girl who made them if I see her, but i justwanted to warn anyone getting sour spray and sour flavors.... Be cautious.”
