“Found this little “ Pit Stop” after picking strawberries across the street & finding it after living on OBX, part time, for 7 years! It's worth stopping on the way to OBX & going back across the Wright Bridge to eat lunch there again! Best hotdog I had in a long time! The bun made the dog! Soft & perfect! Prepared just like I asked! Everyone in party said yummie! Can't wait to go back & try other cuisine in the future! See ya next week!“

“My husband and I were together long before we finally tied the knot. Whenever we talked about our wedding dreams, it always included the statement, “I want Saltbox to cater the wedding”. When it came time to book our caterer, we knew walking into the tasting that this decision would be as easy as it was delicious. What became a favorite date-night spot, will now always have a forever memory in our hearts because of what Amanda and Randolph, and their entire staff, worked to deliver for us. If you’ve never had an opportunity to experience the creativity, flavor and love that goes into Saltbox’s food, then I strongly urge you to check that off your to-do list. If you’re on the wedding planning journey and searching for a catering company, this should be your first and last stop. Amanda and Randolph were extremely responsive and open to the entire vision we had for our Viking-themed wedding…an evening feast fit for a Viking King. Our goal was to build a seasonal, yet varied cuisine menu that celebrated the local seafood and nuances of Outer Banks and would leave our guests talking about this dinner for years to come. From the detail that was put into our hors d’oeuvres, through the flavorful and perfectly executed plated dinner service, ending with the most decadent spread of desserts/hot chocolate bar (best in OBX of course), we were beyond impressed with every single bite we ate that evening. Additionally, Saltbox provided the best bartenders who executed our fun “his and hers” cocktails and (2) full bars with ease and smiles. We are still receiving endless compliments about how amazing the cocktails were. From Saltbox’s attentiveness during the planning process, to a detailed site visit to review the kitchen/service needs, to a well-executed plating set-up, to each staff member’s warm and professional service style throughout the evening of our event, I would recommend again and again their catering services. The execution, timing and presentation was impeccable – but most importantly, their entire team was such a delight to have in and out of the kitchen as they truly delivered the best feast we’ve ever had. From a professional perspective, I am also a career Event Planner, working to organize events from weddings to high-end galas nationwide – this was hands down the best quality and executed event service I’ve seen in a career of 15+ years.“

Asked for ketchup for the sandwiches and they said they had none and do not plan on providing ketchup in the future. I am a local. May not come back if they do not provide ketchup. Large double storefront just opened here in KDH and plenty of room for inside tables but no tables. Hopefully these issues will be corrected so I can take my granddaughter to this store again.“

“This is a don’t judge a book by its cover kind of place. The service was amazing…very friendly and Welcoming atmosphere. The food was amazing, hot, and fresh. Now the wait for the food was a little long but when you taste the food you will know why. I did not get the cooks name, but he made this food with so much love and care. The customer service from the person who greeted us to our waitress that served us was great…..This is a place to stop if you ever traveling in the Carolina’s. “Hurricane Mo's - my new favorite tiki bar! The outdoor tiki bar located upstairs is absolutely fabulous! Live music, great drinks, amazing food, and stellar views - what more could you ask for? The live guitarist on Sunday was superb! He really took us back to the tropics! Bobbi at the bar was fantastic, friendly, and very accommodating! Started with a key lime margarita - WOW, so amazing - even my beer drinkin mate loved it! Best of all, the food was amazing! The food used to be good, but now it's great! Miss Anne's Chicken Sandwich - WOW -a huge meaty piece of chicken and french fries. If the waiter asks if you want the special cheese topper - the answer should always be YES! It was amazing! We also got the fresh salsa, queso, and chips! WOW! Homemade chips and salsa, what could be better! To end this culinary delight, we chose to get a Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie! My, oh my! Just fantastic! I beg you not to come here - only because then we can enjoy it more! ;)“

“Easter breakfast was our first time at Henry's. It was by far one of the best breakfast experiences we've had. From the moment we walked in the door we were made to feel like family. Christina couldn't have been more accommodating...making sure everything was to our liking, without being overbearing. And it was the little things that mattered. May sound silly to most, but having syrup on the table for your flapjacks...when ordering hot tea, they bring you a cup of hot water, a tea bag, PLUS a silver container of hot water to place your "used" tea bag in, should you desire another cup of tea. Also, creamer was right on the table. The menu even made sense...build your own omelet.....you pay for what you want! It seemed like all the Employees chipped in. I never saw anyone just standing around. We will certainly be back, and refer folks we know to Henry's. Thank you.“

“We ate here on Friday Oct. 20. Bartender was super friendly. Highly recommend the clam chowder, best we've ever had. I had the Grouper special and it great. My wife had the Tuna, was super pleased, cooked perfect and not many places get it right. They did. Chef was great to talk to. She explained a lot as we sat at the bar waiting for our food. Backyard bar was our kind of place. The band had to cancel because of rain but It would have been a great place to see one. Will go back next time we are in Duck. Thanks for a great experience.“
