Honestly, he’s the reason my friends and I keep going to Red Bowl. The food is good, but seeing James makes our (my) week so much freaking better. We end up walking around the park and going “Well, time to go see James.”The fried rice here is really good, the spring rolls are really good, the veggie potstickers are to die for.But James makes the whole atmosphere welcoming and bright, so we’ll keep going just for him. He remembers me every time I go and starts putting my order in before I even go up to the counter. I love his attentiveness.Also, give that man a freaking vacation. “My experience here has always been top notch and delicious! It has been consistently great from when I was pregnant to now sharing meals on dinner dates with my son. Prices are fair, but the simplicity makes me think if I would be better off cooking the dishes at home instead, although I only tried one dish and would like to see what else they can do. The flavor was really good after all, and the portions are more than enough to satisfy you.The place is really interesting looking on the I side, and if this tells you anything like it does to me, I ate surrounded with what seemed to be people with a closer culture than my own to this place and its food. “Came here for lunch on a busy Saturday, and got some of the best service i’ve received at any restaurant ever! We ordered Thai Tea which was the best i’ve ever had. We then ordered our food, three dishes, which were at our table literally 3 minutes after ordering, I couldn’t believe how fast they were! It was super delicious. The owner is the nicest lady ever, and she was very sweet and kind and made us feel right at home! I will definitely be coming back this was fantastic. Not to mention the portion sizes are perfect, and left me very satisfied, but not overly full. Highly recommend!

“The food here was AMAZING. We ended up getting a lot of small plates and sides, bit of soup, bit of salad. Everything was truly delicious. We had the soup dumplings, something Ive been dying to try, and they did not disappoint. Just be careful, they come out piping hot. Gotta go by pizza rules and wait a couple of minutes so you don't end up giving the roof of your mouth an impromptu dermapeel. The meat is perfectly seasoned and the broth inside is so delightful I could have had a full cup of it and been happy with that. We did the pork buns which were a perfect mixture of sweet, savory, soft, and crispy. The scallion pancakes were the best I've had in along time. Thin, flakey, and tasty. The chicken skewers were great too. I think they leave the skin on, which, lets face it, the skin is the best part of the chicken. Cruchy skin, tender thigh meat. Definitely indulge. The wonton soup was excellent. Another broth that you. Desperately want to replicate at home but can never get it that flavorful and light. The ginger salad and lo mein were great too. Had mocha boba milk tea and it added just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the savory, fatty flavors in the meal. As for the restaurant itself, the atmosphere is so chill and modern. I loved all the wall art and soft lighting (where's my overhead light hating people?). Good accessibility, too. One thing I really liked that I wish more restaurants did, was the self serve area with the to go containers and bags that ppl can use for leftovers. Just streamlines things a bit. Staff is super friendly and nice. Prices are very reasonable. You get a lot of food for the price, and the quality is excellent. Next time I come here, I'm definitely trying the ramen. If you are in the area, give this place a try. The only regret you'll have is the fact your stomach has limits and you can't have everything on the menu. Thanks for the wonderful meal!“

“We had an amazing dinner here during Queens Feast. Highly recommend for a date night as the atmosphere is extremely warm and romantic. Great drinks as well, and the food of course was delicious and extremely fresh.“

“Went for the 4.7 rating. I wasn't that impressed, and neither was my sister. I ordered General Tso, which was nothing special that stood out. It was fresh and crispy at least, but the sauce tasted more like a honey sauce with no spicy kick at all. I like my crab rangoons, sweet, but these were way too sweet. Almost like candy. The crab rangoons could be a dessert. I threw away that sweet red dipping sauce after I tried one plain because I was not trying to get diabetes. The chicken wings were smaller than expected. They were also super salty. I needed a drink after the 3 of the 6 tiny wings. The shrimp was smaller than average. Not the tiny salad shrimp, but maybe one size bigger. My sisyer said the steak was a bit over-cooked. Extra sauce is $1. The drinks are cans. There are a few tables to sit and dine in. 1 shared bathroom for men and women, which was essentially well clean.“

“First tried dining here for a date night, we really loved it so we went back for a family brunch and our little girl absolutely loved it! Our server Andrew was awesome too! From appetizer rangoons, to our yuzu sodas, the entrees (dang! that char siu is the best), and the dessert... customizing our bubble waffles was definitely the highlight!☺“

“It’s surprisingly difficult to find GOOD hibachi; lots of “fine” options but not a ton of great options. Konnichiwa is the best I’ve found around the Charlotte area by a long shot.

Parking: During peak hours (lunch, dinner) the small 2-level parking garage can be tough to find a spot. There is some nearby street parking, but not much. I’ve never had an issue getting a spot, just might have to circle for a few minutes until someone leaves.“

“The service can get a bit slow due to traffic picking up around 7pm, the portions are a bit small for the pricing in my opinion, I have been to this restaurant at another location before and their BOGO Free just kind of seems like a scam... For 8 pieces the sushi is over $12 and at that point it is like one roll just pays for both rolls on its own without the sale, so it is just hidden behind a sale.... Some sushi is $20 and it is still not a lot of pieces or has a crazy amount of ingredients.

I make sushi myself, so this is quite disappointing how they charge so much per roll and try to slap a sale sticker on top. Not to mention how all of the pages on the menus say "NO EXCHANGE, RETURNS, OR REFUNDS" some even saying "NO SUBSCRIPTIONS". As a person that only eats chicken and fish ... It is not an accommodating place and I think that they are aware of how the policies and pricing is scam-like.

I had the Pad Thai to avoid the sushi, but.... It was less than standard in taste and quality.... My parner had the red curry udon. Everything tasted....fine, but the bamboo shoot, would taste much better in actual soups than the curry udon. Maybe it was the other ingredients... But the food just was lacking and tastes plain and bland, nothing to say "Oh, this is good!" Hopefully they eventually add more to their menu to make it something worth talking about.“

Fresh delicious they give you amazing portions and the price is way cheaper than some of the other competitors so I really like this place and I think you should give it a try.“
