“I live in Maryland and often visit my sister who lives in Monroe.
The food is delicious and the services is as equally good.
I was blown away on a visit to the Palace and the waitress knew what I wanted.
Talk about extraordinary customer service.
Thank you for making me feel like part of the community.
I never leave town without a visit to the Palace for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
In addition the atmosphere is cozy and comfortable.
I wish there were more restaurants that took this type of time to take care of there customers.

“Visited Matthews, NC few days ago and had lunch here. The food was awesome (I had Jalapeno Poppers and Peter Piper burger), and so was the beer selection (I had a really good blonde ale (cannot recall the name unfortunately)). Service was great, and washrooms were clean. The place has a really cool vibe to it, looks like one would feel at home there while watching sports on one of the many screens.“

“Lived in Chicago for 53 years before moving to SC. Just finished eating a beef sandwich from Wrigleys Italian Beef and it was amazing. My family loved them too and some of them couldn’t finish theirs all. These are huge tasty sandwiches and authentic to those I still get when I visit friends in Chi-town.“

I’m going to continue supporting regardless of the french fry theft because doordashing Hickory Tavern is my favorite way to treat myself, and a little toxic has never scared me. “6/16/23. A group of 20 of my sewing group ate at Mr G's, trying out the restaurant under new ownership. A couple of mix ups, when one of our guys got someone's vegetarian gyro. Got that quickly solved, and he decided that it was delicious too! Hot onion rings with real onion, great gizzard, pork chops, fish sandwich, hamburgers. All was fresh and hot from the kitchen and great service! We are very happy with the new "Mr G's", even though we miss Bill and the crew who had served us so well over the years. We will be back!!
