“Small restaurant but big flavor.
The chicken teriyaki box is a great deal served fresh with fantastic flavor and came with so many delicious sides. I also tried a couple of sushi rolls and seems like you can't go wrong with any options. I haven't had fresh cuts of fish like that anywhere else! Definitely recommend!“

“One of the best brunch spots in Upper Manhattan! The Latin music sets the perfect vibe, the drinks are on point, and the food is absolutely delicious. The service is super friendly, making sure you have a great time. Perfect place to go with friends, enjoy some music, and just vibe. Definitely my new favorite spot. Highly recommend!“

“I had an issue with an excess charge on my credit card for a take out order. The owner contacted me and investigated it. He refunded the excess amount and I'm glad they are on top of it. Great customer service and really wanting to make things right.
Overall, I enjoy eating here and I've recommended it to my family and friends. I have tried a couple of their dishes and they are popular for their handroll. Sushi set is also a must. The sea bass is my fave, it just takes a while to be cook because they grill it. My bf likes the hormone don. A good spot for those who wants to try korean/ japanese fusion dish. The take out box sushi set presentation adds a nice touch. ?“

“I would say this is the best Hibachi I have ever had! All are cooked from the top notch fresh ingredients. The sea bass is juicy, the steak is just right, the fried rice and noodles have a pleasant garlic favor which I never had it before at other restaurants , homemade teriyaki sauce adds just right sweetness. We really enjoyed every portion of our plate! Highly recommended.“

“Our dinner at Minato was amazing! I was truly impressed by the ambience and serenity of the garden area, with beautiful lighting and a fountain. The staff was incredibly kind and informative as they fielded all of our questions, and even were open to adjusting our order based on our preferences.
Highly recommend the assorted fish flight and salmon flight, and the teas which came in beautiful pots!!“

“I had the steak soba. Outstanding. There was jazz music playing, but not too loud. The lights were dim but not too dim. Service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back.
Vegetarian options: I'm nit a vegetarian but I did notice some obvious vegetarian dishes.“

“This is a truly authentic Japanese experience. It instantly brought me back to the ramen I had in Japan—comforting, rich, and perfectly balanced. Honestly, this is the best ramen I’ve had anywhere in the U.S., even compared to the fancy spots in NYC. It’s amazing to have something this special right here in New Jersey. With humility and simplicity, they’ve created something truly unforgettable. Thank you.“

“I am a big fan of Sushi. Today I found my favorite eel dragon roll here. The combination with eel sauce is just perfect! I also tried fried sushi for the first time. It’s really good, with a crispy texture. The owner mentioned that it’s a new addition to the menu by the chef as an “open food.”Although the wait was a bit long, it was definitely worth it.“

“Great Korean food and sushi. Soonduboo was tasty and balanced, spicy pork bibimbap was generous and perfectly crispy on the bottom, eel and avocado sushi was tasty, and the agadashi tofu was delightful. Owner was a bit busy but very nice. Great evening.“

“It's been years coming to parsley, I mean how can you not come here. Let me explain to you that this woman all by herself is managing this place. From Onigiris to Tuna Don, Maze Gohan as well as ramen soups. I mean everything is so perfect. She has a great selection of sake to die for as well as beer. Without mentioning that there is a variety of Wines. Excellent for Dine in and takeout. Overall, a great place for dates, as well as coming alone. You will not be disappointed.
Vegetarian options: Tofu soup, Vegetable Gyozas, vegetables Onigiris.“

“I’m absolutely thrilled with the takeout experience from this sushi restaurant! The quality of the sushi is top-notch, rivaling any dine-in experience I've had. Every piece is fresh, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. The packaging is impeccable, ensuring that the sushi remains perfect by the time it arrives at home. The menu offers a fantastic variety, catering to both traditional and modern tastes. The staff is incredibly courteous and efficient, making the ordering process seamless. If you're looking for exceptional sushi roll to enjoy in the comfort of your home, this place is a gem. Highly recommended!“

“I got a takeout order of the lunch special chicken teriyaki bento box to try this place for the first time. The chicken was really soft and delicious. Under the chicken there is cabbage and broccoli which were both cooked well. The California roll was good - the rice had good flavor, and the avocado was soft. I feel more confident to try their raw sushi now. I'll update my review whenever I get around to trying that.
This place used to be a Chinese store, and around 2022 a new management took over and turned it into a sushi place. it still looks like a regular Bronx Chinese store inside. Unlike other sushi restaurants, this isn't really the kind of place I'd want to sit and eat. But it's great for takeout.“

“Brought my parents here for dinner. I ordered chirashi (sashimi style fish over rice), my dad ordered a sushi combo, and my mom got the broiled mackerel (saba). Food was delicious and the atmosphere was great — restaurant is nicely decorated and they were playing soft jazz music in the background. Service was friendly and prompt, I also had the opportunity to order our meals in Japanese which was a lot of fun. All in all, Fujinoya is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Westchester and I would highly recommend it!“

“I just discovered this place after returning from Japan so, im going to be abit more critical on the food.
We started with spicy crab meat, It was the imitation crab meat, which was to be expected for the price.
Then my girls had the corn cheese, it was pretty good.
Then the yakitori assortment came out, i thought this was the best dish of the entire dinner. We each took pieces from each type, the only ones I didnt have a chance to try was the beef. Everything else was pretty good and very flavorful. Just got to watch out for the tomato one, it exploded in your mouth and the juices were burning hot, wasn't expecting that.
The next thing that came was the volcano and dragon roll. The volcano was really done well as it had real crab meat this time, which I was surprised with 😮. The dragon roll was kind of soso. I didnt like the sushi rice as it was very sticky.
The next thing that came out was the sashimi assortment, we got a small as the kids didnt really help us with it. They only like the typical salmon and tuna, they ignore all the other whitefish. We also got the handroll to me it wasn't anything to write home about.
The last thing was the wagyu beef sushi, I was really looking forward to this one and it came so late, right before we were all pretty stuffed. The same thing happened when we were in Japan and it was the best wagyu ever, I told my wife I would go back to Japan just for the waygu sushi...lol.
Ok so back to Jersey, this one was ok. It had more flavor of the burned sides and not enough beef flavor, also the ac was cranking so cold that this thing was already cold by the time it reached our table, it really killed it. I was really disappointed with it.
Overall the ambiance of the restaurant was nice, but the cold temp and high prices didnt hit the mark for me. For the price and 45 min drive... I wont be making the drive again. Our total bill including a 20% tip was about $290“

“My partner told me this was the best sushi place ever, so they brought me here. After trying their Sakura roll and honey truffle roll, I can confidently say that I have surpassed the human form and ascended into heaven. This is the BEST sushi I have tried. The setting is very cute and the waitress is very kind. I highly recommend coming and trying the honey truffle roll!“

“Accommodating service but the food- none of it was particularly good.Steak wasn’t the greatest cut or quality. Chicken was flavorful enough so perhaps that’s the star of the show. Tempura wasn’t comparable quality to other places in and around NyC at a similar price point. Ginger salad was decent, fried rice was mediocre.Unfortunately nothing impressed enough to have me want to come back but that’s as a non sushi eater so I leave 4 stars because this place seems highly rated by those who enjoy sushi and I don’t want to significantly impact their rating for something outside of their namesake.“

“I don’t know about the rest of you all, but this is by far, the best Japanese Cuisine place in the Area. Some of the best items from their menu The Angry Dragon Sushi, The Shrimp tempura, and the Spicy Salmon rolls.
Also try the gyoza and the amazing Kani salad (regular or spicy)
Also the presentation is outstanding, and don’t forget to try their amazing Thai ice Tea which is homemade. 100% recommended. 🫶🏻
PS: ask for their Fried Oreo Dessert, you won’t regret it😊“

“I took my family here and it was good. The price is super affordable and the food is not bad. There are a couple new employees that do not speak English very well but some do. The atmosphere is just amazing from traditional Japanese sitting to normal tables. I will defiantly recommend this place.
Vegetarian options: There is a little section labeled vegetarian and my daughter really enjoyed it.“

“This is hands-down our favorite sushi place! It’s an intimate, family-run gem where you can truly feel the love and care that goes into everything—from the food to the service. The sushi is always incredibly fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed.
Our kids love coming here too. The friendly staff always makes them feel special, and the free ice cream at the end is such a sweet treat they look forward to every time.
We’re so grateful to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great sushi in a cozy, family-friendly setting!“

“So good . When you order takeout fried food, they wait to the last minute of your delivery time to put the food in the fryer. Don't complain if you have to wait a few extra minutes . To get hot crisp food instead of soggy cold stuff that steamed it self cold in the togo containers. LOVE THEM.“

“Was super excited to try some rolls tonight after a 12 hour work day, but unfortunately after 45 minutes of waiting patiently inside for them to be prepared they still were not ready and hadn’t even been started to be made. Staff not entirely apologetic. Asked for refund and won’t be back.“

“I feel a need to respond to the crazy person who complained about the bathroom issues experience at Hinode. The people that own and run, this restaurant could not be more accommodating, helpful, and generous. Your experience had absolutely nothing to do with the outstanding quality of their food and service. If you have enough time to write that completely unrelated review and post it. Then you should find the time to consult with a physician and address your own personal bathroom issues. Regardless of your situation, ultimately they were kind enough to allow you to use their restroom.“

“This is the place if you want authentic, high quality, Japanese food. The small dishes on the separate menu are really delightful.
Prices reflect food quality. Be prepared to pay for the best all around Japanese food in the area. I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
They run it like fine dining, not like a casual sushi bar. So they have strict rules around noise, noisy kids, and cell phones. Don't expect to bring your kid and set him up with an ipad with the volume on. Seems reasonable. No outside food, no exceptions. Seems reasonable.
The servers were polite, no issues in this department.
A real gem of a restaurant.“

“Today was my fourth time coming here and I have not yet been disappointed. Every time we come we try to get something different but today we got Cream Cheese Roll, Crunchy Roll, Star Crispy Roll with spicy tuna, Mango Tango Roll, Jumbo Dynamite Roll, Orange Chicken Bowl, and Salmon Nigiri. Everything we had was soo flavorful and soo fresh. We don't have a lot of sushi places near where I live anymore so I'm happy I found this place. Staff is super friendly and I look forward to sitting and eating there. Thank you, don't ever change!!“

“We noticed a significant improvement from 2021 when we first ate here. Now it is our Favorite All You can eat Spot.
Sushi House in Teaneck redefines all-you-can-eat with its extensive selection:
Appetizers Dish I think was added recently. And it is a must order especially the Yellowtail Jalapeno and the Yuzu Salmon.
- **Sushi & Sashimi**: Freshness is key, with a variety that pleases from the classic tuna to the adventurous salmon.
- **Special Rolls**: Standouts include the artfully crafted **Winter Roll** and the vibrant **New York Roll**, each a fusion of taste and visual appeal.
- **Kitchen Menu**: Not to be overlooked, dishes like savory **Kalbi** and smoky **Yakitori** offer a delightful excursion from the sushi bar, adding depth to the feast.
**Sushi House** offers a comprehensive dining adventure, where the allure of sushi meets the warmth of kitchen-cooked delights, all under one roof in Teaneck.“

“The legendary Kiku Alpine STILL lives up to its name. Today's visit was a gentle reminder why I prefer the original Alpine over the secondary Paramus. To some, they might be the "same thing," but no, they're not. The atmosphere, the food, and the service are all way better in Alpine, as if the staff are being properly watched over by the responsible manager. Since the early 90s (my first visit), the food's been great, portions are generous, and the shows are always impressive.
Kiku had been one of my favorite, and it's now one of my children's favorite places to eat out.
Paramus left me with bitter taste several times over the years, including messing up the reservation TWICE and making me wait for over 45 minutes, saying that my table is being setup, until they admitted that they had messed up my reservation. Both times, I ended up going to Alpine and was served right. Weird, because I'm by biased, but things just worked out the way it did.“
