“This has been our go to spot since we discovered it about three years ago. It is a family owned and operated establishment. It’s got that great in town vibe. Many regulars frequent. There is a large outdoor eating area if you don’t want to eat indoors. What’s nice about their outdoor space is that it isn’t just tables thrown on the sidewalk, they actually have a patio that is not visible to traffic. Which is very nice. The portions are large and delicious. Always cooked to order and piping hot. It is a bring your own, but if you bring a bottle of tequila, vodka, or rum they will provide the mixer which is kind of cool. So you can have your frozen margaritas at a fraction of the cost. I strongly recommend you at least try this cozy in town friendly establishment.“

“all of the food was incredibly flavorful, even the traditionally more milder dishes were still packed with flavor. the interior was beautifully decorated and the staff very lovingly decorated the restaurant with halloween decorations for this season.

we loved the yunnan fried tofu with the super soft interior and perfectly fried outside, the best texture combination in our opinions. the deep fried short ribs had so much flavor and paired perfectly with the lime. the highlight of the meal, the yunnan signature crossing bridge had some of the most tender meat along with the soothing soup that was much needed on a cold day. the portions were pretty big and the food was filling.

Their beer selection is nice and there is usually a food pop up when you get hungry. Dogs are a common visitor so if you don’t like them or are allergic you may want to make sure you find a seat away from our fury pals. It’s one of my favorite places in the area to hang out and witness some pretty good jazz and meet up with friends. LIC is a bit more modern and might be low on the history and charm of many neighborhoods in the city but 5th does a really great job of starting the area’s own vibe and identity.“

The shell was cooked to perfection while the inside was a treat of flavors that was heavenly. The Silpancho had such great flavor. So authentic with the Carne lightly breaded and seasoned with the flavorful Zarza and a beet, carrot and vegetable salsa that complimented the egg and potato. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to experience a little part of Bolivia here in Queens, New York.“

The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“
