I can absolutely confirm that this is the case with HAAM. One thing I also hate when I go out to eat is the feeling that I could make the dish at home for less. “This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! “Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“I have to say this restaurant was absolutely delicious!! So glad we tried the only Mexican Michelin star in New York!!!

We went here for our anniversary and were very pleased! Our reservation was for 9 and our table was ready exactly at that time.  Service was fantastic! Our waiter was really friendly and very knowledgeable about all the food items.  He answered all of our questions about flavors and portion sizes quite thoroughly which made our decisions easy!

Their tequila and mezcal varieties were very extensive and they had great cocktail options as well! For appetizers we decided to choose the smoked mangoes, tuna tostada, and the punta verde caesar.  All were so tasty and had such amazing flavor, we even ordered another tuna tostada!!  I would say we felt the mangoes were more of a snack/dessert and not an app but we were not mad about it at all because the smokiness they were able to get into the mangoes was amazing!

For the main course we went with the lamb and swordfish tacos (it comes with 2 each).  They are average sized, nothing too big or small especially since we ordered so many appetizers between the two of us!!  Both dishes were so flavorful!! I would highly recommend trying everything you have room for since the choices we made were bursting with so much flavor!

We chose the Oaxacan chocolate cake and the tres leches for dessert.  The cake and ice cream had a strong espresso flavor, maybe because I don't drink any coffee/espresso at all but it was still very tasty.

Overall this was a very affordable Michelin Star restaurant and we were extremely pleased with every aspect of our dining experience.  We would absolutely return to try more menu items and highly recommend paying them a visit if you are a fan of big, bold flavors!!

“Can't say it enough - Plant Burger is the best burger/fast food place on this planet (ok maybe there is a better one in a place that we'd not visited). We visited different locations in NYC and compared it to other places like this in different countries - we think that PB is the most delicious place by far. No real opponents in sight. “Transparently, I only came to meet a friend for one cocktail in the afternoon and she ended up being over an hour late due to an unforeseen circumstance, yet the staff was still so incredibly kind to let me sloooooowwwwly nurse my single iced tea and wait at a a cozy little table near the back until my friend arrived.

“I went there for the fried egg (probably Yo Egg) and it did not disappoint. I made my own platter with the sunny side up egg, toast, bacon, and tater tots. All were well made and delicious. Good toast for mopping the vegan egg yolk. Bacon was very crunchy (which I like, more like bacon chips). Tots were crispy. Excellent breakfast, wish I'd had time to try their other food. I was there when they opened at 9am and had the place to myself.“
