“I had heard from my son and a friend about this restaurant and decided to check it out, with a friend. I ordered the fried chicken wings, candied yams, collards and Mac & cheese. My friend had the rasta pasta and j*** chicken. everything was delicious. We will be returning to sample more dishes.“

“Stopped in for a takeout order. We had the jerk chicken combo and jerk shrimp combo with rice & peas, plantains and cabbage and collards. We also added a side of Mac & Cheese Au Gratin (so good!), plus a buch of different sauces. Food was excellent and servings are very generous.“

“HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Wow what great fresh food . My wife and I were lucky enough to have meet the owner of this amazing place when she was dropping off her food for a large event . After sampling her food we were truly impressed on the quality and flavor of her food . Since then we usually order food weekly. The portions are generous and always full of delicious meals.

“Stopped by during the Rahway Arts Festival. Fantastic food!!! Fresh, flavorful and delicious! I had the fried fish and my daughter had the curry chicken empanadas. She later went back to get the Jerk Chicken empanadas. Highly recommend!“

“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! In addition, the customer service was on point. I definitely will return again. Take my word, if you want good, authentic Jamaican food, Sashey's is the place.“

“I had the opportunity to visit this restaurant during their grand opening, and I was pleasantly surprised! I originally stopped by just to grab some food, but when I walked in, I discovered they have a beautiful indoor dining area as well as outdoor seating, which made the experience even better.
The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions were generous—you definitely get your money’s worth. They also had the World Cup game playing, which created a fun, lively atmosphere.
One thing that really stood out to me was that they served the meal on real plates with real silverware. It may seem like a small detail, but it made the dining experience feel much more welcoming and elevated.
Overall, I had a great experience from start to finish. If you’re looking for authentic Haitian food, excellent portions, and a comfortable place to sit and enjoy your meal, I highly recommend stopping by and supporting this new local business. Wishing them continued success!“

“I’ve order for the past two days the chicken and beef soup because I’ve been sick. It is some of the best Jamaican soup I’ve had in awhile that’s really good besides home ?. I appreciate you guys reaching out for my Uber eats order letting me know that it was going to be awhile. The little things always count and go a long way. “I had the jerk chicken, mashed potatoes with oxtail gravy, cabbage, plantains and a beef patty. The food was delicious with just the right amount of kick, the price was right, and the service was great. That container was so stuffed with good home cooking, that we had more than enough for two plus leftovers for the next day. I will definitely come back next time I’m in the area and will try something new. They had a good variety including an assortment of juices I didn’t even notice til we paid. If I had room for dessert, I would’ve had the rum or the carrot cake. My review....amazing!“

“I rarely write reviews . I’m originally from Brooklyn ny and I’m very picky for Caribbean food so I was VERY apprehensive on getting Caribbean food outside of ny . I’ve had several bad experiences . I have waited two years to find a great spot and this restaurant nailed it ! When I ordered it was HOT/fresh and flavored ! The juices are soo natural and fresh ! You guys are doing a great job !“

“Nestled in a small neighborhood, the location is unassuming but is a neighborhood gem. They have all of the traditional Caribbean eats plus a few items that I've never seen before. The ox tails were spectacular (will go back for those) and the mac n cheese was snap! The rice and peas were a little al dente and unfortunately the greens were gritty (not in any way saying that they are all the time, just happened to be this time) but had super great flavor and perfect texture. I will need going back to try more of their selection next time I'm in Bayonne,NJ“
