He gave us just the right amount of attention and was very pleasant. Sometimes we feel either rushed or ignored but he made sure we were taken care at our pace. It was a great experience.“

“Our first experience at a James Beard award winning restaurant (2017) and chef was incredible at Vernick Fish in Philadelphia to celebrate Trent’s graduation! I know now what this caliber of food and service means and all other restaurants pale in comparison to Vernick Fish and Greg Vernick(semi-finalist chef 2025). From the appetizers (dozen oysters from RI, MA, ME, PEI) to the drinks and main course were all uniquely exquisite and cannot be replicated anywhere else. The constant doting with new silverware at each course and cleaning of the table was undeniably royalty treatment. Even the bathroom was an experience-I need the hand lotion in my life (instantly made my hands look 30 years younger). The portions, ambiance and service were all equally perfect! I highly recommend you check out Vernick Fish. We will definitely return!“

“The food here is unmatched. Yes, it's a chain, but there's something to be said for consistency and this restaurant nails it every time. We love the ambiance, the quality of the food and the bartenders are excellent as well. The only issue we've had is the server not offering us the specials of the day. We noticed some really fun and interesting off-menu appetizers and those were not offered to us, which was disappointing, BUT, the food was so good that we didn't mention it. Highly recommend!“

“Just got back from Kunkel’s for a double wedding anniversary celebration of ours and our son’s. It was a very enjoyable evening with excellent food and excellent service. Our two granddaughters came with us, and they instantly settled comfortably, thanks for the personal care tended by Denise, our server. “We were in town for the weekend. Came across this place on Saturday night. We enjoyed it very much. The oysters were fresh. My wife really liked the romaine salad. Spaghetti al limone was tasty - the sorrento lemon really comes out. The frutti di mare was really tasty - the chef is not afraid to bring the spice. Service was very attentive. We would visit again if we make it back to Philly.“

“Cannot recommend this place enough!!! Absolutely outstanding food & quality. I’m a huge fan of Po Boy sandwiches and had been struggling to find any in the area, found Crab De Jour Pennsauken on Door Dash & saw they had them.

Decided to give them a shot, got the cat fish one & the flounder one, I had always wanted to try catfish so I figured this was a good time to do it.

Both sandwiches were perfect, like actually perfect. The catfish one was easily my favorite of the two & now am a big fan of catfish. Flounder was solid , will be trying the shrimp one & oyster one next!

Their Cocktail sauce was delicious and had a great texture, the fries ( I got both Cajun & sweet potato ) were borderline addicting , perfectly cooked & seasoning was top tier.

Overall I have nothing but great things to say about this place, I’ve ordered 3 days in a row this week. Service & Food was outstanding , I’ve only had them via delivery but I can tell you this location and staff are amazing & they earned a lifelong customer with me.

5 stars across the board , if you’re on the fence of trying them or looking for great food at a very good value I hope this review convinces you to give them a shot.

“We just recently moved down the street from here. We are so happy we finally made a date night to go here. Salad bar was fantastic. Service was fast & friendly. Our dinners were excellent & we even shared a dessert. Priced very reasonably as well.“

“It's your average Hood Deli. Breaded chicken wings are to die for. No thrills, but always FRESH. Mother and Father own and run the business. Both can be a little brash but overall it's a good place to get a quick bite that isn't expensive. Never ever have to worry about the food not being fresh either.“

“Our second visit to Village Deli was as good as the first time. I had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and my wife gad the chicken salad sandwich. Both were very good. The atmosphere of the place is pleasant and the counter people were very friendly and efficient. We recommend Village Deli and will definitely return.“

I had heard of the place by my hair dresser the day before she said the food was delicious and fresh. I ordered last Saturday it was delicious. So I went back today and tried that seafood salad, jumbo shrimp and crab cakes. That seafood salad wow was delicious.“
