“What an awesome dining experience. Caribbean in the East Village. The raw shrimp appetizer, the pre-dinner roti with dips, the fish mains with those delicious sides and the coconut turnover. “Very impressed since they was decorating the place. I was passing by every day till they finally open and I desire to try the food, I was curious and also I’m not a vegan person. When I finally try that food I just got in shock. Super tasty, delicious, the Trinidad and Dominican Republic flavors- was so down the earth. “I went to dinner last night for a late birthday dinner. To my surprise, there was a live band playing music and it was wonderful! They even played happy birthday, so it felt like a personal treat lol. The food was delicious and very filling. We ordered the Branzino, Ras & Pasta, Mango Chow and Sweet Plantains. Everything was delicious. We had a great hostess and waitress. The only reason I gave 4 stars for service was because they never brought out the appetizer that we ordered. But once we ate our entrees, we realized we didn't even need the appetizer because we were so stuffed lol. I will definitely be back and will be recommending this spot to others.“

“I may have to give this place a second chance since the day I went may may just not have been a good day. To my understanding a staff member quit and our server had to assist elsewhere but it really messed up our experience for my friend's birthday. We wanted to order more thing but after receiving our main course we did not see the server again until everyone got tired of waiting to try to order our second round and just asked for the bill. I understand things happen just wish they found a better way to deal with being understaffed than just not being attentive.“

Nuff a the food were finished(sold out) but we got the pepper steak w/rice&peas and raw vegetables (shredded carrots and cabbage,love it!) and sweet chilie wings w/rice and peas. Firstly, rice and peas can eat by itself! Well nice!! She wanted oxtail but it was basically done but server(wish i got her name) gave us the few small pieces with the gravy to her rice. “I looove sally's. They truly never miss. The jerk veggie dumplings, amazing. The tostones, huge and crispy. That dressing the greens are tossed in? I'd eat straight greens everyday with whatever that is. Random, but I love their crushed ice. The curried chicken is my favorite but everything is honestly so good. Staff is always super cool and friendly and the music is amazing.

When friends visit from out of town our go to place is always Sally's - whether it's for dinks or a good meal, the quality and consistency is there and it's a neighborhood favorite for me.“

“This is THE spot. Jerk chicken is some of the best I've ever had. There's a good char that's smokey and flavorful without any bitterness. The spice is a warm heat with the right amount of sweet. Rice and peas cooked incredibly well, not dry at all. And the cabbage is perfectly tender not mushy. There patties are low-key solid. Curry Chicken is a bit better than the beef in my opinion opinion. But the crust on all is flakey and the filling is flavorful with good spice.

“First time trying Omars (as a trini it’s hard to find good Caribbean food) but they did not disappoint. Ordered sliders, ribs, jerk chicken and oxtail. Everything was 10/10 (the lamb was maybe an 8 for me as it was a bit too crispy for my liking) but honestly still so delicious. Will definitely be going again“

“Try the codfish cakes. Scrumptious! Curry is always good and oxtails are braised perfectly. The food is savory and seasoned well. Love the comfort on the restaurant, great place to try out some Antigua cuisine. The menu has American food also. I highly recommend Cafe Metro.“

“Checked out Drips on a Wednesday evening for happy hour which lasts all day. I loved the space. It’s small inside, but gives upscale vibes. They have a mix of high chair and regular seating. They were playing RnB hits all night which was great when the drinks kicked in. Everything for happy hour is approximately $6-$8 so I tried the Sweet Chili wings and passionfruit lemon drop. The wings were crispy and fresh! This was my first time having a lemon drop and the flavor was delicious. I also tried the Mango Lemon drop too. I would recommend either! Service isn’t speedy, but it is not terrible. You have good music, great ambiance and drinks.“

“Ripe’s jerk steak is always a hit! And the price is unbeatable for that size and amazing taste. Tonight was my first time dining in as I usually order to go, and the atmosphere in the dining room is comfortable/laid back with background music but not too loud that you cannot talk with the person you’re eating with. The service from our waitress was phenomenal as she was so sweet and attentive. We came on a week night with less staff there so the service was slightly slow at times but the food came out quick & hot!“

You can get curry chicken back, jerk chicken, fish, goat, oxtail, rice and peas, white rice, boiled food/ ground provision, steamed and fresh veggies, baked goods, festival, fritters, soup and porridge. This morning I got steamed calaloo & saltfish with fried dumplings and plantains. Hubby got white rice and curry chicken back. The restaurant can get a little crowdy and you may have to wait a few minutes to be served, but it's worth the wait. Also there is no parking lot available but you can find parking on the street easily. They also sell freshly squeeze juice. Overall I highly recommend them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.“
