“We were very appreciative of how the chef transported us to the Caribbean with both flavors and ambiance. My wife, from Trinidad, was pleasantly surprised by presence of Trinidadian flavors and the new dishes they introduced us to from the Spanish Caribbean. She said she felt like she was back home while cracking open a delicious tamarind and while scooping out some fresh coconut ice cream. We also appreciated the finer details from the glassware to the sides to the drink recommendations from our very attentive server (go Damani!). We will come again!“

When I finally try that food I just got in shock. Super tasty, delicious, the Trinidad and Dominican Republic flavors- was so down the earth. “Last night I took my date to Mango Bay for a late Valentine's Day dinner, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The atmosphere was lovely, the service was fantastic, and the food was nothing short of incredible. If you're reading this review and are anything like me ("for these prices, this food better be worth it"), do not hesitate to come here - it is worth it. I had let them know I'd be asking my date to be my girlfriend in our reservation note, and the staff went above and beyond for us: they brought us a pastry and two glasses of champagne to end the night - on the house. Mango Bay, you earned two lifelong customers in my now-girlfriend and I last night. We will definitely be back, and we'll be telling our friends and family they need to come here as well. Thank you so much for helping make a special night even more special. (posting the same review here as I did on Google because I need to make sure the staff sees it, and that people know about this place - that should let you know how great of an impression they left on us last night!)“

“I looove sally's. They truly never miss. The jerk veggie dumplings, amazing. The tostones, huge and crispy. That dressing the greens are tossed in? I'd eat straight greens everyday with whatever that is. Random, but I love their crushed ice. The curried chicken is my favorite but everything is honestly so good. Staff is always super cool and friendly and the music is amazing.

When friends visit from out of town our go to place is always Sally's - whether it's for dinks or a good meal, the quality and consistency is there and it's a neighborhood favorite for me.“

“I was unfamiliar with this restaurant, but my husband received a gift card from his colleagues at his retirement party. We came for Valentine's Day and were very pleased with the choice! We started with Old Fashioned and Fried Green Tomatoes. Perfect batter and crunch. The bacon jam gave the perfect amount of bite. Mr. TSwi had fish (sorry - no photo). I had the garlic clove stuffed filet. It was fork-tender and so delicious. Potatoes fried in tallow butter were decadent. We had the Bread Pudding for dessert - and the leftover for breakfast Sunday morning. Overall, great value for the quality of the food. Not ridiculously expensive. Not ostentatious (TSwi wore jeans and a blazer and was well-dressed compared to others.) We will look forward to coming back again soon.“

“It’s become really hard to find consistently good jerk chicken these days. A lot of my former favorite spots have fallen off and with food like this, you can tell when the love and effort aren’t there anymore.
That said, this place absolutely nailed it. The jerk chicken was a home run perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and cooked just right. The rice and peas and the sides were just as impressive. If I lived closer, I’d honestly eat here every day. That’s how good it is.

The only small negatives were the packaging and the limited sauce, but truthfully, the chicken didn’t even need much extra. Overall, this spot is a definite hit.“

“Try the codfish cakes. Scrumptious! Curry is always good and oxtails are braised perfectly. The food is savory and seasoned well. Love the comfort on the restaurant, great place to try out some Antigua cuisine. The menu has American food also. I highly recommend Cafe Metro.“

“This is THE spot. Jerk chicken is some of the best I've ever had. There's a good char that's smokey and flavorful without any bitterness. The spice is a warm heat with the right amount of sweet. Rice and peas cooked incredibly well, not dry at all. And the cabbage is perfectly tender not mushy. There patties are low-key solid. Curry Chicken is a bit better than the beef in my opinion opinion. But the crust on all is flakey and the filling is flavorful with good spice.

I've tried the fried chicken and macaroni both good but not worth getting. I just got for the jerk chicken platter and patties“

“Omar's Kitchen and Rum Bar has an amazing aesthetic and serves truly authentic Jamaican food. The brown stew snapper and codfish fritters are staples for me every time I visit..they never disappoint. The service is excellent, and the food and drinks are always on point. “Ate here with my family on a Saturday night. We took an uber to this location as we figured trying to find parking would not be good. The service and food was good. I couldn’t rate the food 5 stars as my steak was not the one I ordered and the meat was chewy. I didn’t rate the atmosphere 5 stars either as the place is quite small and not too much space to stand around while waiting for a table. If in the area, I do recommend stopping here for some authentic Cuban food.“

“We celebrated my mother’s 75th birthday with 40 guests at this chic restaurant back in April, and the experience was absolutely fantastic. I cannot stop thinking about how special this was for my mom. From start to finish, everything was seamless, and that was largely thanks to Kiara, the restaurant's event director. Literally the most flavorful rice and peas I’ve ever had! Mac was tasty and well seasoned and the jerk chicken was the perfect blend of tang and spice. “Ripe’s jerk steak is always a hit! And the price is unbeatable for that size and amazing taste. Tonight was my first time dining in as I usually order to go, and the atmosphere in the dining room is comfortable/laid back with background music but not too loud that you cannot talk with the person you’re eating with. The service from our waitress was phenomenal as she was so sweet and attentive. We came on a week night with less staff there so the service was slightly slow at times but the food came out quick & hot!“

“My husband loves getting breakfast here when he is going to work. The food taste delicious and the staff is very polite. They offer jamaican cuisine. You can get curry chicken back, jerk chicken, fish, goat, oxtail, rice and peas, white rice, boiled food/ ground provision, steamed and fresh veggies, baked goods, festival, fritters, soup and porridge. This morning I got steamed calaloo & saltfish with fried dumplings and plantains. Hubby got white rice and curry chicken back. The restaurant can get a little crowdy and you may have to wait a few minutes to be served, but it's worth the wait. Also there is no parking lot available but you can find parking on the street easily. They also sell freshly squeeze juice. Overall I highly recommend them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.“
