“I was recently in New Jersey for a concert and staying at a hotel for a few nights. My friend and I were looking for a quick bite to eat nearby. We decided to go to this place on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever. The atmosphere was incredible. Everyone in there was so cool and the bartender was fantastic and very helpful. She recommended the Jack Daniels burger so we both went with it. When I tell you we both dreamed about this burger for our entire trip. We ended up going back to this place two more times. It was such a great local place with great people. I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re ever in the area go there and get the Jack Daniels burger. Talk to the locals. Have a pint and enjoy the vibes. 5/5. 10/10. Incredible.“

“Lee’s Tavern is a staple on Staten Island, and for good reason. The pizzas are among the crown jewels of Staten Island, and the bar itself is just a classic, cozy, hole in the wall kind of place.

We had fried calamari, an Italian shredded pork hero, a white clam pie, and a regular pie (half with sweet peppers). The calamari was great. It was fried perfectly and the hot marinara sauce was really good with a nice kick. The pork hero was very basic, and though it lacked a bit in flavor, the ingredients all tasted very fresh and the cheese was melted very nicely, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The pies at Lee’s speak for themselves. The white clam pie is delicious, it’s a perfect balance of garlic, cheese, and that classic Italian clam taste. The regular pie is also just so fundamentally perfect. It’s crisp, thin, and the sauce is perfect.

The service at Lee’s is also exceptional with extremely friendly staff. My only complaint would be that Lee’s is cash only, though they do have an ATM inside. The pizza more than makes up for the cash only rule though.“

“O'Donnell's Pub has the best Guinness I've ever had. (And I have been to Ireland). Most places must use the wrong gases, or don't clean the beer lines and it taste almost grassy. Not a O'Donnell's. It is smooth and just fantastic.“

“Stumbled upon this welcoming pub after a long working day during UN Week in NYC. As my hotel was near Carteret was able to hop off the NYC bus and stroll right in. Trivia night was on and that was a welcome diversion - as was the prompt and friendly service and the cold beer! BTW, $5 Happy Hour is Monday-Saturday 5-8pm. I’m a wing snob so didn’t give them a high ranking but definitely in the zone of tasty and comfort food! Highly recommended!!!“

“I'm a simple man. I saw a burger, beer, and shot happy hour for $10 and went running. I was expecting a little burger for the price but it was a solid tasty one. An added plus is the good selection of craft beer on draft. The bartender Stefany was very welcoming and hooked me up with an unconventional old fashion that hit the spot paired with the burger.

I thought this place was just the bar but I discovered there's another room with a pool table. I'll definitely back for that and the dart board.“

“We ate at the Point Tavern this past Saturday night after reading other reviews. We were seated promptly. Ordered two appetizers; hush puppies & street corn shrimp. The bang bang sauce was very tasty on everything. I loved that they were served on cast iron pans (nice touch). Then came out roast beef sandwiches, one with a pretzel bun, other the ciabatta. OMG. The best, savory, melt in your mouth flavor bomb roast beef we have ever had. We will definitely be going back!!!“

The owner also owns LaRouge lounge downtown Newark this is a great place to go party.. lastly but not least they have an outside deck with cabanas under construction“

“First time here. Great experience. We got there right at 5 pm when they opened on a Saturday. Got table right away. 20 mins later place was packed with long wait. Wait staff was awesome. Annette stopped by our table numerous times and was fun to talk too and welcoming. Shrimp beeps were our favorite. Eggplant was awesome. Garlic pasta and savoy chicken were so tasty. Could not have been more pleased. Great prices too. Old school atmosphere that is fun to experience. But it’s not a place you can linger, you eat and go. “My new favorite bar! Great food, awesome selection of beers, wine and spirits, and the staff is super cool. I love that there’s themed event nights, like karaoke and trivia. Cute patio area for enjoying the weather, plenty of seating and 10 giant screens for catching all the games. It feels very welcoming and inclusive here. The truffle fries, short rib sliders and the clam linguini are amazing dishes! I also added shrimp to my pasta and it did not disappoint.“
