“Cliff’s Steakhouse delivered an absolutely 10/10 meal from beginning to end. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller and octopus, both excellent and a great way to kick off the evening, along with a bottle of wine.

For the main event, we went with the Tomahawk for Two, accompanied by mashed potatoes and asparagus. It arrived with sizzling plates and the preparation continued right before our eyes. The steak was truly exceptional—perfectly prepared, incredibly flavorful, and easily the highlight of the night. It was so good that we actually asked our server to send our compliments to the chef.

As an added treat, we were brought some rigatoni pasta with chunks of filet mignon. What a surprise! The sauce was rich, buttery, and delicious, while the pieces of filet added another layer of flavor and texture that took the pasta to another level.

From the starters to the steak, sides, wine, and unexpected pasta course, there wasn’t a weak moment in the meal. Cliff’s Steakhouse earned a strong 10/10 from us. An excellent steakhouse experience and definitely a place we’d return to.“

“Excellent is an understatement! We had an amazing experience at Empire Steakhouse. Armin was an exceptional server: attentive, welcoming, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal.

We ordered the Porterhouse Steak for Two, and it was absolutely incredible. Perfectly cooked, tender, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the dinner. We also started with the grilled octopus, which was an excellent appetizer and a great way to begin the meal.

“We started going to this restaurant just last year and our server at that time Alexis really took great care of us. Ever since then we fell in love with the place. We always requested for Alexis but last night we had a different server named Eric and he was also very great and very attentive. The host stand, server, and the manager really made my boyfriend and I 9 year anniversary dinner special and we couldn't be any happier. The food was amazing and we always get the 22 oz prime bone in ribeye and the truffled Mac and cheese and it has been our go to meal and of course they have the most amazing oysters! They have a great variety of specialty drinks and wines that pairs very well with the food. This is a very highly recommended place and they have gained new regulars!“

The food never disappoints from the apps, to the sides, to of course the steak. These days I am usually at the bar and when I am lucky Tyler is my bartender. Always a smile, always attentive, professional, and a great mixologist. Hard to pick favorites but I am a huge fan of the baby lamp chops when they have them and the lobster-crab cake as well.“

“Went for my birthday dinner and had an AMAZING experience! The service was immaculate, and our waiter's recommendations were a hit. For drinks, we had the Roseate (a creative take on the lychee martini), Pornstar Martini, Gulf Stream, and Birds of Paradise, all delicious! We ordered the prawns, Parmigiano Reggiano-Aged NY Strip Steak, lobster & shrimp spaghetti, asparagus, and mashed sweet potato, and everything was so delicious. “The shrimp cocktail is a delight as is the filet mignon and their basket of rolls. I would skip dessert though, especially the chocolate mousse and the key lime pie. Subpar to say the least. Better to share a dessert with someone if you decide you must order a dessert. If it's bad, just send it back. With the prices they charge, diners should get some type of dessert on the House.“

“My friend and I were looking forward to a nice leisurely lunch. The restaurant was not busy, the servers were constantly pushing and pushing us to order. It was really awful. When you spend that kind of money you don't expect to be rushed and pushed. When we declined dessert the check was brought immediately. We had to request another glass of wine each, it was never offered if we wanted anything else. We sat and drank our wine and was told by the server that they had to get ready for the dinner crowd. The restaurant was not busy and once we left that table could have been redressed in a flash. When I meet my friends we always choose Capital Grill at Rockefeller Center for the quality of food and service. This was positively the worse experience we have had there. Such a disappointment.“

“This a curious space, with some tables outdoors and a rather deep seating area inside. The feeling is a rather classic and classy steakhouse, but slightly casual enough that you don't feel the need to dress up.
I came for lunch and was seated quick once the waiter saw me. It was pretty empty. They have a pretty good three course pre fixe for restaurant week. The steak will cost extra.
It's a quiet place playing some remixed pop in the background. You can have conversations without issue. Servers bring over the free bread and refill water often.
The food itself was okay. The steak had lovely char on it and was pink all the way through. But parts of it had a bit too much blackening and made it taste a bit burnt for some bites. Fries were good, and I could add seasoning myself. The bread was really good, with two sorts mixed in the basket with butter.
Overall, a good spot to bring people you haven't seen in a while for a nice lunch. They have specials even when restaurant week is over.“

I brought friends back with me the second time and they didn’t fail to impress them as well. Everyone enjoyed the steak and the cheesecake is perfection! “An unplanned dinner, out of curiosity for 2 when we happened to park right in front of Wolfgang Steakhouse. This was after my dental appointment across the street.
We walked in past 6 pm and were accommodated right away.
Onion bread was served with chunks of butter. 3/5. I always prefer a warm bread.
We ordered a dozen of fresh Bluepoint oysters, with a mid-brininess taste. The flesh was glistening, plump but the saltiness is in-between. 3.5/5.
I always look forward to the oysters in Norfolk, Virginia, right at the back of my friend's summer house. Its thick, high salinity flesh would let you slurp non-stop until your gastronomic craving is fulfilled.
We shared a Caesar's salad. The lettuce was fresh with grated parmesan cheese and a few pieces of croutons. The sauce is always the star in a salad. Their sauce was light, simple and less creamy. 3/5
For me, a little more acid, touch of saltiness from anchovies and the right portion of Worcestershire, mayo and Dijon would perk up the depth of flavor.
Then came the star of the dinner. We had a porterhouse for 2. It was a big sliced portion served on a hot metal plate with the meat sauce and butter. The meat was so tender. and rightly cooked, medium rare as ordered and not salty, which I like. I miss having a rosemary on top. We didn't finish only about 3 pcs. each though we both like it. 4.5/5

We preferred a lava cake but it wasn't available. So we had pistachio tartufo instead. It was covered with a tinge of truffled chocolate with a whipped cream in the middle. The sweetness was just enough but the cream in the middle was so gross that made the 4 slices of tartufo so small. Lessen the cream to make the tartufo stand out. 4/5
No wine at this time as we still have to meet some friends at 9 pm for a drink. Settled for a bottle of a sparkling water instead.

The steak was $75 per person. The tables were near to each other that you could hear about their talks. Some customers talked so loud to a waiter that you could hear their voices even about 4-5 tables apart. Maybe due to a low but a nice well-designed arched ceiling by a famous Spanish architect.
The waiters were nice and the service was prompt.
Overall, it was worth a try. Will try their other branch/steaks next time.“
