“Hands down this place gets all the stars!!! The food was out of this world, very authentic, you can tell it’s family owned, family recipe which tells me it’s all made with love.I walked in and was greeted by all of the staff. I already knew I wanted from the hot buffet, but I’m terrible with ordering food in any kind of authentic restaurants because I can’t say anything Spanish. I also was ordering in a confusing way because I just didn’t know how else to say what I wanted but the woman who helped me was fantastic! She was beyond patient with me and laughing and made me feel comfortable and not like the biggest pain in the butt. I did decide to pull out and use google translate because I knew it was me making things sound more complicated. She laughed, and that cleared up everything, and she even used it back to make me feel less silly which was the sweetest thing I’ve ever seen. I actually walked out with the biggest smile on my face because of that woman, she made my day.I’ve worked in the food business for over 20 years and in management and I have to say, you don’t find service like that anywhere anymore. If that was anywhere else I would’ve gotten a lot of attitude and frustration. I was so pleased and enjoyed my first experience so much that I can’t wait to go back.Even though it’s almost an hour from me, it’s totally worth the trip. Aside from the amazing service and friendly staff, the place was very clean, the food was out of this world, the portions were huge. I got for 2 people and after I got home it wound up feeding 3 people. I give them 10 ⭐️’s because 5 just isn’t enough.“

“Baingan bartha & Dal tadka are 10/10. The baingan bartha is easily their top dish, super rich, with the right amount of sour + sweet + spice. The dal tadka is so wholesome, a little high on garlic. I would recommend the “desi spice” level as the flavors can be a bit mellow otherwise. The paneer was okay - not the softest and the flavors are pretty typical. 20% tip is mandatory and included.“

“The best kebabs in the US so far! I had the Goat Doori kebab sheermal and it melted in the mouth with so many flavors. Its a must eat here. The Andhra Chilli Chicken is really hot and spicy. Do mention spice level for chilli chicken if not you will experience the spice level like never before. I loved the saffron pancakes with the dry ice on it with beautiful presetation. The sweet potato chat was good too. Overall Super tasty food items on the menu. I would defintiely try others next time.“

(I'm a meat lover so I'm amazed at how they made Cauliflower taste like Sesame Chicken!!) For entrees, I would highly recommend the Lamb Rogan Josh, so tender and juicy and bursting with flavor! Also, the Tandoori Salmon is a must have because it was seasoned, smoked and cooked to perfection!! Beba was our server and she was so patient and kind with a group who couldn't make up their minds! And lastly, please check out the bartender (I think his name was Sean, but I could be way off :/...I blame the a-a-alcohol..) He makes a mean cocktail and he is not at all stingy with the good stuff ?.“

The chicken component itself deserves a 5/5. The rice however, also good, but personally, I like when the marinade has merged uniformly, or when the rice has been evenly coated with the saffron water/turmeric or whatever flavor and color blend is used. The rice was also on the greasier side. Therefore for personal preference reasons, the rice was a 3/5 for. The chicken was the star indeed, and the spice level was also magnificent. “Heard so much about Rowdy Rooster and finally made it here. We came on a weekday for dinner and it wasn't too crowded, we were able to grab a seat. There are also standing room for a quick bite as well. The place was so adorable! Everything was so colorful and the walls and even the ceiling was decorated with colorful roosters. Our cashier was really helpful in helping us decide what to get bc it's our first time here. She said the thigh meat was better in the sandwich and indeed it was one of the best chickens I have ever had. It was so crispy but so tender on the inside. Loved the sandwiches so much bc it was full of Indian spices too! The mango lassi was amazing, definitely comparable to any sit-down Indian restaurant. We also had a hard time deciding what sauce to get and she gave us a complimentary sauce in addition to the one we bought, so we got to try both sesame yogurt and mint chutney, which were both delicious! I wish this place was closer to where we live, I would totally get take out here all the time!“

“This place has been pioneer of authentic Bengali food for so long. The Roast Khichuri has to be the best in NYC. We recently had a iftar with a decent amount people in our group here. The service I received was above and beyond. The very new server and the very old servers were always attentive. Sometimes it gets hectic at busy hours but that’s how food industry works.“
