It's the epitome of vegetarian fine dining in NYC.I will preface my review by stating that I have not grown up in the fine dining realm; there is probably some level of "appreciation" that I lack. That being said, the food here is great. Presentation, creativity, flavor experience are all on point. However, I couldn't justify the price for the food. I think if you are very curious and want to knock it off your bucket list OR you are someone into fine dining then this is perfect. Otherwise, there are restaurants that I think you get much better bang for your buck for in NYC.“

“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! The food I ordered was well seasoned, I should know that, as I am a cooking school grad, and worked at Port Authority of NY and NJ ,four different facilities, in their kitchen and dining room/cafeterias for 20 years and six months. I am also a Veteran of the US ARMY,served for 17.5 years. I totally enjoyed the Pastelito,, The Brisket was most excellent, had a very nice flavor,.There was a mild garlic sauce that I put on it,made it taste even better. I just loved the sweet plantains, which came with sour cream I had a glass of Mongarda Brut Prosecco,, which was very good. I ordered a cup of Cappuccino, which was very good. I really enjoyed this meal and most definitely will return. I plan to bring a very special friend of my family, who is from Peru,the next time that I dine at that restaurant. Amazing cookies, by far the most unique chocolate chip cookie. They are massive, 1 cookie is like having a large piece of cake with icing. They are not the “grab a handful” type of cookies. They are baked crisp on the outside and gooey melty in the middle- all the time every time! Extremely worth it!!“

“Just had the absolute pleasure of dining at La Casa Bronxville for the first time. Where do I start? It had been recommended to me by a couple of friends as a really unique, quality twist to the Mexican dining genre and were they ever correct. Started with the warm and friendly greeting and spacious well decored bar and dining areas. Once seated and presented with the menu - I was pleasantly suprised with the cool spin on some of the more traditional Mexican menu items (ex. Oyster soft tacos to die for - and I don't even like oysters but these were out of this world). The quality of the ingredients and food items are clearly a top priority for the management and the chef. The owner Spencer Pingle is very present and you feel it. He explained that the chips, guac and many other main items are freshly made in house daily - any wow the flavors pop!!! I can go on for quite a bit about this Westchester GEM but I will simply recommend that you go for this experience and see for yourself. Very reasonably priced for the impeccable food quality, portions and presentation. YES YES YES!!!!“

I did my research so I knew exactly what I wanted. My sister, on the other hand, contemplated between pistachio and caffè and ended up going with the latter. Their prices have risen slightly. It's now $7.50 (instead of $6) for a regular cup of gelato, with up to 2 flavors. The portions are huge though, so two people can easily share a cup. * Ferrero Rocher I was dead set on ordering this flavor, and it was everything I imagined it to be. Sweet, smooth, rich, and creamy, with blended Ferrero Rocher bits. I found an almost whole Ferrero Rocher piece at the bottom of my cup and loved the added crunch. * Caffè Absolutely divine and exactly how I like my coffee. This flavor perfectly balanced the sweet and creamy elements of gelato with the rich and subtle, bitter notes of dark roast coffee. Highly recommend!“

“My two nieces and I popped in this morning on our way to the Natural History Museum. I’ll admit I was hesitant but thankfully I listened to my nieces! I had the avocado and eggs in a crepe, which was the best gluten-free sandwich I have ever had. Did not miss the bread at all. My 14 year old chose the Nutella crepe with banana and the 9 ounce Açaí bowl. Oldest selected one of the big bowls … it was a work of art. Highly recommend and we will be back on our next trip. It is also our go-to place for Japanese crepes, where my partner, our visitors from out of town and I came last Sunday. From the outside, plastic mock-ups of the crepes are arranged in rows in the window, each in a glass bubble. Greeted by the staff at the register when one begins to order. Their menu incorporates savory and sweet flavors with fresh fruit offerings. We decided on the T-swirl Fruits Cocktail, Matcha Chocolate Truffles, Lychee Romantic, and Blueberry NY Cheesecake. All were delicious and made fresh. What really sets this place apart is the Japanese aesthetic one observes in all aspects of this very clean, small eatery: the care and precision in preparing the crepes; the neat and lovely way they wrap the crepes; and the polite workers behind the counter.
