“Great food, great Guinness, great vibes! Wolfe Tone's was absolutely FABULOUS on Marathon Sunday! Derek was such a pleasure to work with in the weeks before our big day and he and the entire staff took such great care of us and our family and friends post-race! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, and never without a drink! The location is also great, it was easy for everyone to get to and for everyone to go home from (so close to Grand Central and the 6 train!) One of the best pints of Guinness I've had outside of Ireland, such a cozy atmosphere and incredible staff members. Classic Irish pub food, which everybody loved! The classics are classics for a reason, and they were very well done. I’ve also had dinner here on a regular night, and it’s just as good! Great pub fare, generous portions, and a really relaxed, friendly vibe. It’s not just a perfect event spot, it’s a great place for an everyday meal too. I am so grateful to Wolfe Tone's for being a great, reasonably priced, delicious, comfy and cozy place to celebrate post-race. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to host any kind of event. “I have very fond memories here, it was like a little home from home for me while I was bi Atlantic for 6 years, working on the same block as the Pig There are lots of “Irish pubs” in the vicinity, although this is the only one that felt like a real pub in the UK rather than a novelty in New York Hopefully I will be back again one day! “We are never disappointed when we stop here when we visit NYC. Atmosphere and food is always fantastic and they make killer Manhattans. We just went for the 2023 Rockefeller tree and the staff was pleasant and accommodating. so happy they were decorated for the holidays. 100% go to in our opinion.“

“The Dead Poet hits home for our neighborhood pub, even if it's not your own neighborhood. Set yourself up on the Guinness list for the chance to get on the wall and meet the locals. One teeny weeny feedback idea is to place books of poetry in the sections of the pub where books go. Some Yeats, Whitman, or maybe some Billy Collins.“

“This victorian inspired restaurant was very pleasant to the eyes. It really looks like you’re stepping back in time. I hear they offer an afternoon tea. I would like to come back and try that someday but we were here for dinner and it was wonderful. We had the lobster ravioli, and the steak and frites. Everyone we came in contact with was attentive and pleasant. They also have a full bar so I imagine they have a great cocktail hour or so.“

“Malone's Irish Bar & Restaurant was a great find. The menu offered a large variety of items, and I opted for the shepherd’s pie, which was delicious and came in a very generous portion. Others in our group chose salads, and everyone seemed pleased with their meals.

We were lucky to catch happy hour, and the old-fashioned I had was perfectly made. While the restaurant was a bit lively and loud, we were still able to carry on a conversation comfortably. The staff was very kind, patient, and attentive throughout our visit.

If you’re in the area, I definitely recommend giving Malone’s a try for good food, drinks, and a friendly atmosphere.“
