“What a great place and so glad we found it just a couple of minutes walk from our hotel. We visited every day during our trip and served the best Guinness in NYC. We had food most days which was tasty and they still served food late. It was my first visit to NYC and the staff were a great help and all had time for a chat. Definitely worth a visit, you won’t regret it.“

“Very cozy place .Staff was very friendly and attentive .Had the burger with onion , sautéed mushrooms . The add on’s were soo good .The burger was very simple otherwise . Felt like there could have been more fat to give it more flavor . Deff have had a better burger in my life before . But truly I enjoyed the simplicity of it . I would happily come back .It really is a very comfortable atmosphere .“

“I came here the Friday before St. Patrick's day and was not disappointed. They had live music on a small stage with a large crowd singing along to Irish folk tunes. The atmosphere was lively and reminded me a lot of Dublin pubs. The service was a bit slow, as there were too many patrons and too few bartenders. If they could improve that ratio, this place would be a fantastic place.“

“The people who work here are just amazing. I come before, during, and after work because i need a place where someine is just kind to me. Tara, brian, eoin, everyone who works here, theyre just gems. Its not easy to work a midtown bar and still be kind, but they are. I owe them everything. Please visit and be towards the staff as lovely as they are towards us all.“

“This is one of my favorite restaurants on the Upper West Side. Many great menu items, but my favorite is their chicken pot pie (see pic). I also often order the bruschetta - it’s always prepared perfectly. The ambiance of an Irish pub is full of character. The food, the drinks, and the service here is consistently excellent.“

“We hosted an event for 30 people here. The staff was attentive, and accommodating. They sat us at the back so that we could talk. The food was incredible!! Sometimes catering can be dry meat and wilted salad, not at Joyce. The beef was tender and juicy (didn’t touch my knife), the salmon was cooked to perfection. The pasta was perfectly cooked and delicious and so was the beautiful, colorful salad. Mario the manager stays calm under pressure and does everything he can to make your experience a great one. Book an event with them!! You will not regret it.“

“We had a wonderful dining experience here this past Saturday evening. The atmosphere of this old Irish sports pub was lively and friendly, without being overwhelming. We sat at one of the many tables surrounding the bar. The service was prompt and friendly. The beer and wine were great and the burgers, fries, salad, and salmon were delicious and the portions very generous. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering its location a block and a half south of Central Park. We were just tourists but would come back often if we lived here.“

“Good local bar. I wouldn't travel far to come here, but my friend lives down the block on 40th and this is my favorite spot in the area. Good prices, got just what you need. People are always cool around here. Saw a fight once outside. Pool tables you can play. Bathroom is far away downstairs. I come here whenever I'm in the neighborhood!“

“Great Irish pub with friendly staff and delicious food. They pay attention to the details like matching the branded glasses with the right beers. Service was very quick even though it was wall to wall busy since it’s a popular place. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet Maggie herself!“

“The perfect pub if you are in the desperate need of a quick pint. It's the definition of "fast drink" instead of "fast food" because sadly this place is lacking of food or at least snacks but I think it's the concept of this place to only serve drinks and I have to say they are doing that on the best level.“

“We loveee the dead poet - so cute and intimate. Fun for a date night, week night drink, after bar drinks whatever you name it! It's a pretty chill vibe and a tiny space so not much room to stand but we love it here as a late night spot“

“Nice place. All food is good. Quick service. Really small place, only has about 8 tables. Had 2 strawberry margaritas. 1st one in a highball glass with a very dry lime wedge, decent. The 2nd one was in a short glass with another dry lime wedge that tasted different and not as good as the 1st one. Bad lime season so not the bars fault.Parking: Very small parking lot. Few spots in the street. After hours you can park in the post office parking lot across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: None in the front of building. I don't know about the back.“

“An honest Irish pub that pours a great pint, has lots of young people at night and keeps you occupied with TVs and a huge number of tchotchzkes that remind you this place dates back to the '30's. Oh, the music playing over their system on Friday night was just right for my crowd. If you're looking for a comfortable place to have a drink, this won't disappoint. If you're looking for an upscale bar...well why are you in Newark?“

“Cool bar. It's in an area of the city that surrounded by tons of other bars but there aren't many other Irish pubs so this one stands out. Great drinks and fun atmosphere. It was my first time there and it was St. Patty's Day so it was pretty wild and energetic in there. I liked it.“

“Absolutely love this place. Just back from my second trip to NYC, so second time in here. Firstly the Guinness and food is excellent in the landmark. The service is lirlterally second to none, my favourite Irish bar in NYC. Donnacha is a legend of a bartender and literally couldn't do more for his customers. A true gentleman. Until the next time Donnacha , Sláinte.PS Donnacha, if you do reas this. We did come back last Friday 06/04 but the place was packed out the door literally!“

“Went to NYC for Yankees home opener. First night we visited four Irish pubs. Mulligans was by far the best in several areas: 1) Best ambience 2) Best bartender- both Irish and super attentive and most importantly, 3) By far the best Guinness. My friend, who travels to Ireland at least twice a year, said the Guinness tasted like it does in Ireland. And I thought it was the best Guinness of all the Irish bars we visited in NYC!!!“

“We are never disappointed when we stop here when we visit NYC. Atmosphere and food is always fantastic and they make killer Manhattans. “Had the paper plane cocktail and the crispy fish tacos. Pretty standard, but I have a bias for fish tacos, so standard fish tacos are 4 ⭐ by default in my book. Minor knock is that the slaw, mayo, and relish together were a little strong and kind of overwhelmed the fish. Why is it so dark? I get it, but I also don't get it ? low light has its merits, but this was super dark ? (the camera make the photos/videos look brighter than the lighting in reality)“

“Tommy Fox's Public House in Bergenfield, New Jersey is a cool bar that has that cool Irish pub feel to it. The service was friendly and the customers were pretty friendly here, as well. I did not try any of the food, but it looked to be what you would expect from a bar. This is definitely a cool.place to gather with some friends and overall, I would recommend here.“
“Great local Irish bar. I was staying a week at a nearby hotel and this place had the exact Irish bar feel I needed. I instantly felt like a regular they were glad to see, coming and going. Proper for an Irish place. Good pours on the beers. I was here for the first 2016 Presidential Debates and there was a lot of opinions, but in true NYC style, nobody got bent, no matter how much of a (&%$g idiot the other person was.“

“Pretty standard Pub, which isn't a chop but praise. Who doesn't love a good Irish/English pub? Decor is great, bathrooms are clean, drinks are plenty. The Barbacoa Tacos were acceptable, the soft taco shells were tasteless, dry, and fell apart. The meat was delicious though. This location is close to GCT which is awesome.“

“What a wonderful place. It just happens to be an Irish bar, though that part is not the main sellling point. If you are not doing anything today or tonight, please, please, please go. OK, we know about prices. 8 Bottle Beers, 4 shots ( and yes 2 were telly) French onion soup, Fish & chips (no bread, that's a positive) and nacho with the malt vinegar. Grand total $109 == Bargain. The food was great!, The Nacho's were a meal servered the good way, hard nachos loaded with meat, cheese and Guac (wont' even attempt to spell that word). I don't know how Dave the owner pulls this off. Excellent business owner and personable. I think has all all 3 things going on when you spend money. Best Product, Best Price, Best Business touch - meaning personable skills. The girl working the bar and tables was very good. I should have gotten her name. She left nothing for chance. There is one other thing to note when going out, Atmosphere. While this is no Colemans of Syracuse on Tipperary Hill, I challenge you to point out the differences. Pete Coleman would be proud to know folks can go to an authentic Irish bar in Hawthorne, NJ and have an awesome time. David my hat is off to you, Sir. - They call me Bruce“

“Visited here on a busy Friday evening without a booking during our recent trip to NYC due to my partners Guinness addiction steering us in that direction. They were really kind and found us a table, the service was impeccable and we were very well looked after. I can honestly say the short rib papperdelle is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth, it was a flavour sensation, I savored every single mouthful. The expresso martini I washed it down with was pretty good too. We went back again on Sunday evening as I wanted to try the New York strip steak which was also delicious. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly be back.“

“It was great. Was having lunch with a college friend and her husband, whom are from out of town. We went into two other places and their brunch menu SUCKED! Walked into Demsey's and it was chill atmosphere. The music was loud enough for you to hear, low enough to hear your conversation. The menu was extensive and just what we were looking for. My friend ordered the French onion soup, her hubby had some wings and I had sliders with sweet potatoes fries... The sliders were good, but those sweet potatoes fries.... AMAZE BALLS!!! Oh they were soo good!! Took them home, reheated them, still good. And the sauce it came with, HMM, HMM, HMM.. I'd go back just foe the fries.Definitely a great choice!!“

“What a fantastic place for beer and burger. This is a nice local bar. “A dim-lit bar with the usual big screens of sports news, Megan's is one of those Irish pubs that are sort of iconic of Midtown. I had their steak and they replaced the mash with fries per my request. The beef came topped with caramelized onions, which were much more like jam than other places. It was a welcome surprise to something as classic as steak and potatoes. The fries were good and the fruity beer I got was flavored with blueberry, another welcome surprise. Overall, not a bad place to stop by once in a while. Being on the walk between Herald and Rockefeller, this pub is a bit harder to find amid the many other restaurants on the way, and it can be a bit pricier than other places offering lunch specials. But the food was very good.“

“If you’re American and you’ve ever found yourself enjoying a perfect pint of Guinness in a pub in some smaller Irish city (e.g., Galway, Letterkenny), while some lads are absolutely jamming on some Irish music and thought “this is the life for me,” then come back to the states and thought “man, it would be great if we had a boozer like that here”… this is as close as you’re gonna get.“
“Its more about the ambience and friendliness of this bar that anything else. You can enjoy a well priced beer and relax and enjoy the company of the amazing patrons. Its a great place to relax they also have an arcade machine with Pacman and .. 1948 ? Idk the plane one classic“

“A small neighborhood joint with food that will exceed your expectations.Moran’s is known around town for their burgers, which absolutely live up to the hype. I also recommend trying the Irish Poutine. The fries have an even coating of curry sauce, which means every bite is going to be delicious. Me and my partner ate in mostly silence while we were here, which is a sign that the food really hit our souls here.Drinks wise, there is a solid beer and cider menu, with a number of options from Ireland and the UK that you won’t find at other spots around town.Service wise, everyone here is friendly.“

“Wow! I've been on a mission to go to all of the places that make good burgers per reviews that I have read and so I was expecting a good burger at Emerald Inn since I read that they make good burgers. However, when I bit into the burger - cheeseburger to be exact with American cheese - sitting at the bar, I was overjoyed. I have had good burgers but this medium cooked patty was juicy and tasty. I could not help but smile. Vibe was great, friendly, attentive but not overbearing staff. I had no intentions of drinking beer but had 3 Guinness Stouts on draught. Wow wow wow!!! Can't wait to go back. Such a great place to go in and have good food, enjoy great ambiance, and friendly folk ambling about talking sports or theater or anything else by turns. A gem in NYC! 10 of 5 stars“

Crowd was a nice age and by that I mean not too young. Really a great vibe & atmosphere. Hoping to go back this week for lunch cuz the food looks AMAZING! “Gabby O’Hara’s Irish Bar is a cozy, welcoming spot that captures the essence of a traditional Irish pub, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for authentic Irish fare and a genuine pub atmosphere.
