“I came here the Friday before St. Patrick's day and was not disappointed. They had live music on a small stage with a large crowd singing along to Irish folk tunes. The atmosphere was lively and reminded me a lot of Dublin pubs.The service was a bit slow, as there were too many patrons and too few bartenders. If they could improve that ratio, this place would be a fantastic place.“

“We hosted an event for 30 people here. The staff was attentive, and accommodating. They sat us at the back so that we could talk. The food was incredible!! Sometimes catering can be dry meat and wilted salad, not at Joyce. The beef was tender and juicy (didn’t touch my knife), the salmon was cooked to perfection. “We had a wonderful dining experience here this past Saturday evening. The atmosphere of this old Irish sports pub was lively and friendly, without being overwhelming. We sat at one of the many tables surrounding the bar. The service was prompt and friendly. The beer and wine were great and the burgers, fries, salad, and salmon were delicious and the portions very generous. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering its location a block and a half south of Central Park. We were just tourists but would come back often if we lived here.“

“Nice place. All food is good. Quick service. Really small place, only has about 8 tables. Had 2 strawberry margaritas. 1st one in a highball glass with a very dry lime wedge, decent. The 2nd one was in a short glass with another dry lime wedge that tasted different and not as good as the 1st one. Bad lime season so not the bars fault.Parking: Very small parking lot. Few spots in the street. After hours you can park in the post office parking lot across the street.Wheelchair accessibility: None in the front of building. I don't know about the back.“

“Went to NYC for Yankees home opener. First night we visited four Irish pubs. Mulligans was by far the best in several areas: 1) Best ambience 2) Best bartender- both Irish and super attentive and most importantly, 3) By far the best Guinness. My friend, who travels to Ireland at least twice a year, said the Guinness tasted like it does in Ireland. And I thought it was the best Guinness of all the Irish bars we visited in NYC!!!“

I get it, but I also don't get it ? low light has its merits, but this was super dark ? (the camera make the photos/videos look brighter than the lighting in reality)“

“Tommy Fox's Public House in Bergenfield, New Jersey is a cool bar that has that cool Irish pub feel to it. The service was friendly and the customers were pretty friendly here, as well. “What a wonderful place. It just happens to be an Irish bar, though that part is not the main sellling point. If you are not doing anything today or tonight, please, please, please go. OK, we know about prices. 8 Bottle Beers, 4 shots ( and yes 2 were telly) French onion soup, Fish & chips (no bread, that's a positive) and nacho with the malt vinegar. Grand total $109 == Bargain. The food was great!, The Nacho's were a meal servered the good way, hard nachos loaded with meat, cheese and Guac (wont' even attempt to spell that word). I don't know how Dave the owner pulls this off. Excellent business owner and personable. I think has all all 3 things going on when you spend money. Best Product, Best Price, Best Business touch - meaning personable skills. The girl working the bar and tables was very good. I should have gotten her name. She left nothing for chance. There is one other thing to note when going out, Atmosphere. While this is no Colemans of Syracuse on Tipperary Hill, I challenge you to point out the differences. “Visited here on a busy Friday evening without a booking during our recent trip to NYC due to my partners Guinness addiction steering us in that direction. They were really kind and found us a table, the service was impeccable and we were very well looked after. I can honestly say the short rib papperdelle is one of the best things I've ever put in my mouth, it was a flavour sensation, I savored every single mouthful. The expresso martini I washed it down with was pretty good too. We went back again on Sunday evening as I wanted to try the New York strip steak which was also delicious. If we are ever in the area again we will certainly be back.“

“A dim-lit bar with the usual big screens of sports news, Megan's is one of those Irish pubs that are sort of iconic of Midtown. I had their steak and they replaced the mash with fries per my request. The beef came topped with caramelized onions, which were much more like jam than other places. It was a welcome surprise to something as classic as steak and potatoes. The fries were good and the fruity beer I got was flavored with blueberry, another welcome surprise. Overall, not a bad place to stop by once in a while. “Each time 1walk in to this place, in Bakersfield is a lot of people but with a wonderful atmosphere. I remember going there one Patrick's Day, the whole place was filled with people shoulder to shoulder it was great. Recently I went back and it was a slow night and for the first time I saw what the place really look like I couldn't see it before cuz of the crowd of people or should I say see of people which is bigger.I think you'll love it there.( parking is a little bit of a headache, if possible just take an Uber or whatever you feel comfortable with. )“
