“Had a great late lunch at DPS Tavern in Garfield, NJ with my husband and it did not disappoint! We ordered a few appetizers and everything was absolutely amazing—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. The service was excellent, super attentive and friendly, which made the experience even better. The atmosphere is lovely and welcoming, and the people there were just great overall. We’ll definitely be going back!“

“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“Me and my family love Cassidy’s. We go to NY every year for Christmas. This year we had a group of 23 and Seamus was able to accommodate us with a reservation. Our waiter was Joe C. ,who was great. It’s not easy waiting on a large group of people, but he was super patient and kind.“

“O'Donnell's Pub has the best Guinness I've ever had. (And I have been to Ireland). Most places must use the wrong gases, or don't clean the beer lines and it taste almost grassy. Not a O'Donnell's. It is smooth and just fantastic.“

They have decent beer and cider on tap. Bathrooms are a bit cramped but useable. Menu has a decent number of choices on it and is reasonably priced for the area. Staff are helpful.“

“Karol's Pub is a hidden gem. They sell Zywiec, which is great Polish beer, smooth and incredibly potent. The walls are covered with cartoon murals, there's a pool table in the back, a dart board, and an awesome digital jukebox. Karol himself is a great, easygoing funny guy. The bar has plenty of regulars, and DJs on Friday nights. They don't sell food, however they have menus from nearby pizza places available and you can order delivery to the pub.“

“The girls are really pretty, standard price for lap dances. The girls definitely make sure that you’re having a great time, they definitely take care of you in the best way. They don’t have that many women in that spot which is understandable considering how small the place is. So it’s best you sit somewhere comfortable where you’re not too far away from the action. But the only drawback is there isn’t much privacy in the lap dance room so you’re bunched up with other people in there plus the dancers and it does get mighty uncomfortable. They are definitely respectful towards you and treat you like human beings instead of an ATM which is rare nowadays plus they don’t pressure you to drink coming from someone who’s a non drinker.“

“It took a minute for a waitress to notice we had seated ourselves at an outdoor table, but about the time we decided to leave she showed up. The Cajun dry rub wings were excellent and honestly no heat (yay). We don't like wet wings. The guacamole was authentic. The cabernet was a California brand,Murphy Goode. We like Argentina wines so obviously we thought it watered down and not full bodied, but it was smooth. I would eat here again and it was very popular. The dressing for the veggies were watered down (ranch and blue cheese), but again the guacamole and dry rub wings were A++“

“Love the place, food, environment, staff etc. Victor and Evan do a great job keeping GRI an inviting (and growing) restaurant with that small mom pop family feel. Throughout the years I have had many events and parties here including my businesses annual Christmas party. A lot of places you do not get to meet the owner of the family business. Evan and Victor are always checking up on guests, on the floor, delivering food, chatting it up, and being a part of the dining experience.“

It feels more home than home. the staff is top notch, cocktails are always top tier, prices are very reasonable, atmosphere is relaxed, and customers are diverse, interesting, and generally friendly. The staff does a great job ensuring that this bar is always a place where anyone can feel welcome and safe. “So I found this cool little spot during the madness that was the Knicks closing the NBA championship. Somehow, I found a spot and had delicious Belgian beer. The two bartenders, one of whom was very cool, the Belgian, somehow managed to hold it down and take care of everybody pretty promptly. The crowd was great, full of all kinds of interesting and international people. The beers were excellent, as Belgian beers tend to be.

So yeah, if you want an unpretentious place to have great beer with an eclectic, diverse crowd and great service (as long as it's not the really tall guy), check out BXL.“
