“So I just had iftaar with their tikka paratha roll that I had got last Sunday evening. It just tasted so good even though I ate it cold straight from the fridge. 😊 It didn't taste as good when I had ordered it on site. Then, without me even asking for anything, they remade it and gave it to me to take it home with me even though I had told them I was full. 😊😊 The largest portions I have ever seen anywhere, good food, clean, best interior and decor, excellent service. I have yet to see a BETTER or even equally nice place in NYC. 🤍 Jo baat hay. Food makes/breaks the mood.“

Since I’ve moved to JC (which I know is only across the river, but the food scene really is different), I have yet to find my go-to halal spot… until now! I paid $10 for a chicken over rice. “First and foremost. Do not order from Uber eats. I saved about 10$ against Uber pickup order, and about $20 from delivery not including tip. The saved money went to spending more here. You pay more for each item on Uber eats.

The food was fresh greatly seasoned (could use more season on the jerk chicken gyro) and the falafel was fried near perfect.

The service was great. Called in the order took my time getting there in about 10 minutes and was ready immediately. I wasn’t expecting it to be but I was happy.

The strawberry twist to the banana pudding was a great hit. Just wished for a little more strawberries. I wished I took photos because all of the food was visually pleasing. The food was so good I ate a container of Jerk chicken over rice with extra meat by myself. Within 45 minutes. I usually can’t eat like that in one sitting.

Also wished for more white sauce dipping cups for the amount of falafel that was bought.

Otherwise it’s a great gem. I hate to say it but I live next to a few restaurants and did not want to try it because of the feedback. As much as I am used to a $10 plate, here was money well spent. Cost about $50 2 drinks, jerk chicken Gyro, 10pc falafel, jerk chicken over rice platter with extra chicken, and a banana pudding.“

“They’re located in front of the PNC bank and their food is the bestttt. I got the chicken over rice and a water for $17 but half of one filled me up. They’re very generous with the chicken and sauce and it tastes very good even my toddler liked it. Would definitely come back here🙌“

“I’m visiting NJ (lived here for a long time) and wanted to eat some of my favorite foods. I ordered dinner from port of peri peri and it was perfectly cooked but missing my fries. I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. If I were in NJ longer, I would surely order again! The food is absolutely delicious 😋“

A tremendous spot in Newark and an easy 5 stars.“

“This spot was amazing for family sized trays. We got the half tray chicken and lamb combo + half tray of rice. This was the most meat ive gotten at a halal place and the half tray was more than enough for 9 people as we had leftovers. I highly recommend these trays for huge gahrerings, they accommodated within 30 minutes.“

“I’ve ordered from this delicious restaurant a few times now via DoorDash and I finally dined in at their JSQ location this evening. The food was flavorful as always and the location itself is nicely lit and clean.

Their crispy chicken sandwich is one of my favorites. The chicken is always fried to perfection with a light crispy outer layer and juicy inside. The kulfi milkshake was a great addition to the meal to cool the spice from the Khokha sauce.

“Just found it on the way to our hotel when we stop at dominoes pizza ,so I just enter the restaurant and order burns road chutney paratha roll and mayo garlic roll and falooda for me and my husband. And don’t regret at all . Amazing food. And having authentic falooda after so long. I must say falooda was actually the hit better than Toronto. Some people might think it’s pricey for the size, but in today’s market it’s still relatively affordable. That said, you’ll probably need two shawarmas if you’re looking to feel fully satisfied.
The menu is simple, which I appreciate. The shawarma isn’t traditional, but it works in its own way it feels more like a modern spin rather than an authentic, classic shawarma experience. They were kind and accomodating. The food was plated carefully and was pretty taste. My only complaints were putting margarine on my pancakes without asking and the tiny plastic utensils, which left my hands covered in syrup. “I ordered Chicken Biryani and Chicken Kabab through Uber Eats. After I ordered , I realized that I forgot to order Nan. So I called the restaurant and ask them that what can I do now. The person(probably the owner) replied , I will add Nan and whenever you visit, give me 2 Dollars. That was really a nice gesture which I will remember and must appreciate(along with the debt on me).
Talking about food, I had eaten many Biryanis in USA but it is one of the best real Pakistani biryani. Kababs were also fresh and tasty. I highly recommend those who want to have Halal and real Pakistani taste, must visit.“

I was excited to see the G.O.A.T return, and more so with a proper shop. I got so excited, I ordered two chicken platters and only managed to finish one. “AMAZING! Honestly the best halal food I have tried in NJ/NY. Food was incredible! Tasty, fresh, not greasy. The service was outstanding as well. I definitely enjoyed the portions and great prices. We saw their sign outside and decided to go in, ordered the chicken platter and it was delicious. White sauce was really good and the red sauce was hot but not too spicy. Very good experience and I was very happy when they told me they have another location in Fairview which is closer to where I live!“

I’ve been living in the U.S. for 16 years, and the thing I’ve missed and loved the most is lahmacun. After trying it at PIDDE, I’ve never had lahmacun anywhere else again. At other places I’ve tried over the years, I always experienced heartburn afterward — but never at PIDDE.
