“My wife and I are on the #eatjersey challenge to visit and have a meal in all 564 towns of NJ. We chose Tavern on the Lake for Hightstown, our 150th town.

Great eats and comfort food in a place that is at the center of the town. They have a fantastic beer selection on draft that rotates over time. For the fall season, we had a Hot Toddy and Spiked Cider. The French dip sandwich and crab cakes were great.

When there's warmer weather, they have a great outdoor patio too!“

“I had such a great experience at fridays Vanessa was my server, she was very nice and great! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent from start to finish. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. The food came out fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared definitely exceeded my expectations. I also appreciated how clean and comfortable the restaurant was, the birthday time. which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. “Maynor was amazing and you could tell he truly knew what he was doing and genuinely cared about serving us well. The food was fresh and full of flavor, especially the truffle flatbread and the roasted potato ravioli, both simple and delicious in the best way. The apple cider donut with homemade ice cream was super good and felt like the perfect comforting ending. The drinks were great too, especially the spiced pear gin with a really nice balance of ginger and botanicals. Overall it just felt like a warm, welcoming place in Princeton where everything comes together naturally.“

“I would highly recommend Winberie's! my husband and I went for the first time today to have some lunch. The Executive Chef, Steve Fitch, was so awesome! My husband has a laundry list of food allergies and Steve came out to offer alterations he could make to the menu items to accommodate us. Everyone there was so friendly and the cocktail and food we had was all fresh and delicious. I could have the parmesan tomato soup everyday for the rest of my life and be happy, it was the best I have ever had. Thank you for a great lunch experience, we will definitely be back!“

I'd gone over earlier in the day and arrived as a post-golf tournament banquet was getting underway. If the smell of the food being served was a good indicator. It must be delicious. Will be returning this week to test/taste that theory out!“

“We’ve stayed here annually for 16 years. It’s a pass through for us. One night but friendly and helpful staff good food and we seen the same FD staff for the past 12 years. Even during Covid we stayed, they cared even though the kitchen was closed they advised us where to get take out. It is a comfortable, friendly place to stay.“

“Celebrating 3 birthdays at Roots Ocean Prime with 8 people. Everyone loved their entrees (steaks ) which were cooked perfectly. Sides were tasty and enjoyed by everyone. Great wine list. Appreciated the wine recommendation by our server. Our server, Rachel, was excellent. The birthday desserts were the hit of the dinner! “We went to dine with this rag tag restaurant and the experience was awful. The waitress had no teeth and asked my son for his? At first we thought “hey maybe they are joking” then all of a sudden. They lady grabbed his front bicuspid. Needless to say - at that point we were concerned. Because we had a long day we were still hungry. So we stuck around. The next thing you know. The toothless individual brought another toothless friend and tried to get my tooth as well. At that point. We know. Time to get out of here. We were cooked. Unlike the food at this gross place.“

“I had a great experience at Iron & Ivy! I loveeeee going to hotel restaurants! I feel like I'm on a sense of vacation even though I'm not staying over! When you walk into Iron & Ivy, you're greeted by a beautiful fireplace and bright, stocked bar! The hostess was so sweet and recommended amazing menu options! We started off with the quesadillas and the bourbon bbq wings! When I tell you, the quesadillas were top 5 all time, they are TOP 5! They didn't fall apart and were toasted to perfection as well as loaded with shrimp and cheese and beans and corn! It was PHENOMENAL! For dinner we ordered the Grilled Flat Iron Steak and the Spinach & Roasted Garlic Tortellini! The veggies were so delicious and it was a huge portion that I was able to bring home for lunch the next day! For drinks, you couldn't go wrong with the dirty martini, the very berry martini and the Soccer Mom Lemonade! It was a great night overall and they have a huge inside / outside dining area! Highly recommend checking out Iron & Ivy and make sure you order the quesadillas because they are LIFE CHANGING!“

The only complaint that I had is that it's $4 for a small cup of coffee. where you can get a large cup of coffee for either free or $3 at QuickCheck. The coffee was the same quality. And why is tea always more expensive than coffee. It's $4 for a small cup of tea.“
