“On vacation as a joke, we searched for "the worst bar near me" which led us to this amazing little place. We had the absolute best food! The waitstaff was attentive, fun, and helpful. Prices & portions were fair. The whole vibe of the area was low-key & pleasant with the dog-friendly patio, next door local shops, and other patrons. If these Wisconsintes find ourselves in Jersey City again, we will absolutely make a dedicated return to the Wurstbar!“

“I went with my wife and daughter for a few days. We ended up at the Grove every day for brunch and dinner. Staff was over the top amazing! Not to mention the food was fantastic! Now to the atmosphere…we are normally early in people but this place was so much fun with the karaoke and back to the staff, that one night we didn’t leave until midnight! So so much fun and gave us great memories! Added bonus, it snowed!!!“

The seafood and grilled items really stood out — everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. “No venue is as old school as Old Town Bar. No TVs and no loud music just great drinks and great food. We visited during the great snowstorm of 2026 and in the middle of all the snow, we got outstanding wings and potato leek soup to go with our drinks. We went for dry wings with buffalo sauce on the side and they were so good we ordered two more portions. We also enjoyed the tenders but the wings were better. The chili was also yummy and we’ll be back with or without the snow.“

The drinks are awesome, and the space and atmosphere are great. I’ve also been here for comedy show nights, which are always a lot of fun. “First of all don’t be put off by the appearance of the bar, it has a bit of a sports bar vibe but, but it serves some seriously good food.\nThe staff are friendly , helpful and efficient.\nI started off with Fren onion soup, a favourite of mine, and it’s was as good as any I have ever had.\nI followed with the pork chop, which was well worth the 15 minutes wait that the waitress had told me about, and absolutely delicious it was.\nThe bar has an extensive selection of different drinks, I opted for an IPA, which was great.\nAll in all a very good experience, not fine dining by a long shot , but excellent bar food is offered.“

“The District, located on the UES of Manhattan on 3rd Avenue, is such a great spot!! :-) I visited for the first time this weekend and I had the best experience!! Dara, Nick & the team at The District are so wonderful - my friends & I were so well taken care of during our visit!! In terms of food cocktails, they make an excellent spicy margarita, and their appetizers are delicious. I highly recommend their Homemade Mozzarella Sticks! Lastly, The District has such a lovely atmosphere - it's so warm + cozy inside. 10/10 - I highly recommend this place!!“
