“Tried it for the first time today and it was amazinggg. Hidden gem in the mall food court. We tried the beef rice bowl and the fried crispy chicken rice bowl. The chicken was crispy and the spices blended together so well. The beef bowl was also some of the best ive tried.

The guys at the front were really nice and helpful with what to recommend too.“

“This is now a Hunan noodle restaurant. It isn’t a hot pot restaurant anymore (this pictures with black tables are of the old restaurant). The food was good. Got the scrambled egg minced pork and chili beef brisket. The minced pork was the better of the two.

Saturday lunch was not crowded. Order in the back and they’ll bring the food to your table. It looked like they do high delivery volume based on the foot traffic.“

“I always come here after a long day of a work trip. Coming from a place where most hot pots are all you can eat. I was a little shocked by the prices, but once I received my order and saw the portion in the quality, I totally understood. Flavors are great and ingredients are fresh. You’re paying for a cleanliness and quality. Servers are kind and accommodating and check on you often. You don’t need to order a ton to leave here feeling very full and satisfied.“

“Party of 10 + you can get your own room w KTV. Hotpot w lots of options and the hot foods selection offers of variety of seafood and BBQ skewers which actually taste good. Baked oysters were solid too. Beer and drink selection good. Shoutout to our wonderful waitress, Wendy. Although we were a huge group of 12-14 people, she took care of us really well, friendly and professional throughout the process. Will be returning

“I'm really happy to have an AYCE hotpot place in the UWS! The staff here were all really friendly. There was a mix-up with a reservation issue, and the staff were very apologetic about the inconvenience, and happily accommodated us the next day. They're newly open, so we think there was just a sudden influx of new customers that they weren't expecting.

The food was delicious-- we got the spicy soup base and tomato soup base in a split pot. We only put in one order of all our ingredients, but the server reminded us that it's AYCE and that we shouldn't be shy about ordering more, which was really nice. They were much less busy on Sunday evening, so noise level was very good for conversation, and you don't feel like you need to rush for other customers to come in.

The selection of meats and veg is great, and the sauce bar has everything that I normally use for hotpot sauces!

“When Flaming Mountain first opened, the place was packed. I remember waiting almost two hours just to get a table because everyone wanted to try it. The food was amazing with fresh ingredients, rich and flavorful broths, and tons of variety. The staff was also super friendly and made the whole experience even better.

I recently went back and was shocked to find there was no wait at all. It still tastes just as good and the service is just as welcoming. I have no idea how it’s not crowded anymore but it honestly feels like a hidden gem now. If you haven’t been in a while, now’s the best time to go.“

“Great service. We got a private room so it was cozy and intimate with my friends. There was a huge selection of food. There’s a man outside who grills mussels and oysters outside, and it’s part of the hotpot experience. Definitely recommend.“

“The food was delicious and the portions were big. The meal comes with complimentary chicken feet. We had a dry pot with 2 meats and 4 veggies (and it came with peanuts and cilantro) and a small order of hot and sour fish (which looked like a medium portion!). Everything was very flavorful! You can choose your spice level for dry pot. White rice is complimentary and you can ask for more.

The prices were very reasonable. It came out to a little over $40, before tip :) my dad and I ate until we were stuffed and went home with leftovers enough for 2-3 meals!

“Randomly decided to dine here before a show at Webster Hall. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely delicious. Teppen gyoza, kimchi beef fried rice, dynamite roll, and mango martini. Definitely plan on returning.“

“I absolutely love this place. I have a very bad case of long covid since October 2021 where almost everything smells and tastes rotten or sickly sweet. I am able to eat the hot pot miso ramen soup with a lot of different vegetables, and I can have the chocolate cake/cupcakes. So delicious! I can also eat the white rice and the grilled pineapples. Before finding out that I can have all of this, I was losing a massive amount of weight, thank God for the few things that I can have here, I’m able to maintain my weight now. I just tend to go a bit crazy with what I can eat because I’m so hungry from not really eating the other days. The workers are amazing. The manager, Justin is really nice and very funny. The owner Darin is also very nice. Love the atmosphere and the music, I still can’t eat the other things and the smells from the other foods still bother me but I deal with it just so I can eat what I’m actually enjoying there. “This place is an amazing experience if you really like shabu shabu and also appreciate well crafted experiences that aren't just about overloading you with meat/sauce.

The service is amazing, the people at the counter will cook the meat for you, regularly replace your bowls/dishes if they fill with broth, skim the fat out of your pot.

The meat is really high quality as well, I believe they source their wagyu straight from Japan and the quality is beyond what I can generally find in new york.

There are a lot of sauces and the restaurant puts a lot of care into serving interesting sauces & combinations. It seems they're always trying something new, when I went, they had just freshly prepared some nori sauce. The server will help you understand what sauce combinations work well, for which meats. I found that all their suggestions were amazing and really elevated the taste.

Their ice cream was made in-house, when I went, there was black sesame and earl grey. Both had an amazing crisp texture and soft sweetness.

We got the shabu-shabby dish which comes with a mountain of vegetables and your own choice of meats. Make sure to get an amount of meat that fits your group size, the prices on the menu are per one portion of meat and you can combine different kinds or get multiple portions of the same.
