“This latin American restaurant was easy to pick up from and the owner made my plate herself. She asked me what i wanted to eat & there was a lot of food left over. They had steak, fish, beef and chicken, 5 different rices and sides. I chose roasted chicken vegetables rice and she threw in some extra! The food was flavorful and made with love“

“I placed an order on GrubHub A day after Thanksgiving. For Dominican restaurants a lot of restaurants usually dedicate certain days for certain dishes, such as stew or soup because of the process it takes however, today I was really sick and the owner of the restaurant was kind enough to make a soup from scratch for me. When I placed the order on GrubHub, I placed an order for soup however, in the caption, it did say that there was no soup for today since today is a Friday. But my vision was so blurry that I didn’t even notice it. However, the owner called back and informed me and she immediately heard how sick I literally sounded and she told me don’t worry about it that she was going to make it from scratch. It’s just gonna take some time. Honestly, their food is really good. My sister orders from them a lot so that’s why I decided to order from them and they’re truly sweet.“

“Anyone that says this place isn’t amazing is nuts trust in me go eat be happy and go again I’ve been slowing working through the menu pernil - fire - beef stew - fire - oven chicken - you guessed it fire- rice and beans stay slapping I love when they add the pumpkin if you know you know. Chimi slaps hard and I’m a big fan of the fried sweet plantain they stay sweet and delish. I saw a review about service and have been here now 7 times? I’ve waited twice when busy nothing crazy because food is worth the wait. Anyone steering you away is salty country on your own !“
“Great Place located in the Westin Hotel - Had lunch with friends on July 4th and food and service was excellent - They also do a great Sunday brunch which you might want to check out - They do have bar service and a very pleasant outdoor seating if you like -“

“Everything served at this restaurant is amazing. My father has been taking use there for years. I go every Wednesday for the Sango de Cameron, and ceviche. Prices are way more than reasonable for the quality of the food that’s prepared for you. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for an awesome meal, ease on the pockets, and more importantly cleanliness, and great hospitality.“

“Shout out to Ricky's for being the last restaurant in the neighborhood to keep it real on food quality, price, and portion size.
I'd been scoping out Ricky's for a few weeks, after I noticed it by accident while walking by.
Wonderful and delicious home kitchen Puerto Rican dishes. I have no idea why this place doesn't have a line out the door all day everyday...probably because of its humble unassuming appearance.
Right now with the price gouging at restaurants and inflation, it's Exhausting going out to eat when you look at the bill.
It felt so good to sit down and have a plate if delicious homecooked food with a bottle of soda for $9.75!
Picture below is PR stew chicken w/rice and beans. Definitely will be back soon!“

“Hey I have to tell you about this fantastic Dominican food place in Jersey City. Seriously, it's one of the best. Been there a bunch for lunch, they don't skimp on the portions. The ladies running it super sweet too. Definitely worth dropping by when you get a chance. The food and music will totally win you over, promise.“

“The food itself has that real, homemade flavor you're hoping for, so I was excited. But honestly, the whole experience just kind of fell flat. The order took forever to arrive, and by the time it got here, everything was just lukewarm. The pernil, which should be the star, was unfortunately pretty dry. It's a shame because you can taste the potential, but between the long wait and the food just not being fresh, it was a letdown. It's okay, but it could be so much better with a bit more care.“

“Good Dominican food at a really good price plus there's a wide variety and they aren't cheap about the amount you get. Really wonderful staff. Super friendly and very helpful if you're not sure what to get. It's small but the staff makes you feel like family while dining there.“

“I loved grilled chicken as it was very well cooked, juicy and just right amount of seasoning, not too greasy. Perfectly fit to my palate. So I might be willing to go for chicken again.
However, pork mofongo was painfully salty. I think mofongo itself was very well executed with garlic flavor in its mashed plaintain, but the pork meat mixed inside seemed to be the faulty one for overwhelmingly salty flavor. I don’t think I would be willing to take anything that is pork related from this restaurant, even if it were ever provided to me free.
It was one of those unsual experiences where I loved one menu so much but hated the other menu so bad at the same time.“

“BEST BANANA KING! I come in here ALL the time and I'm never disappointed! Today, I believe the manager recommended a strawberry shake with coconut and it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. I normally always just get plain strawberry, but I will definitely NOT be going back after this recommendation!! Thanks to the amazing staff “

“Best spot in the food court. Deserves its own spot tbh.
I love the Cuban sandwich here and the owner makes the mustard himself too apparently! Great w Yuca fries (comes w white sauce) and Plantains.
The Pernil Combo was great as well. Tender pull-apart pork, paired with Hot sauce (self-serve)
The only thing is that the menu looks slightly overwhelming without many pictures but don't let that discourage you“
