Jerk chicken as delicious, rasta pasta was delicious but spicy(i don't east spice, so my tolerance is low).The festival is delicious, especially hot. Rice was okay. I love the cabbage and I normally don't eat cabbage. The girl who took the order was super nice, as well as the guy making the chicken. Will go back for sure. Not really a place to dine in unless they have a separate location because I didn't see it.“

“Was walking by and saw A&J Caribbean Taste. I just had to go in and see what they had. It was like home! They had a wide range of food and I was so excited I asked for a sample of it all lol. DELICIOUS. Further, it was super generous of the server to accommodate my request. My favorite was the oxtail though all dishes were delicious. If you're missing GOOOOD Caribbean food and want a variety - and not have to wait for food preparation - this is a must visit. Compliments to the chef. Stew chicken is 25$ and it’s not a huge container in my opinion to be charging that much.
I normally get the oxtail dinner, but my most recent time the oxtail was so small and that dinner alone is 30$ which is understood. But the cut should’ve been bigger . You can get a full bag of about 20 oxtail from Superfresh for the same price.
I will continue to support but the prices are alittle out of term.“

“While waiting to attend my uncle's repast I figured the food may not be Guyanese vegan/plant based friendly. I googled several Caribbean restaurants between the funeral parlor and the repast location. I was detailed, you'll find 3 Caribbean restaurants on the same street. However the ladies at the front at GG were welcoming and so helpful in finding something I could eat.
I had Bora and Chow Ming with plantains. The homemade ginger beer was good too. My entire family was able to get some Guyanese food (non vegan).

“I'm not from NJ, but I accidentally drove 40 mns to this place because I was craving haitian food. All I can say is I was not disappointed!
It started with their customer service, because when I realized how far it was and wanted to cancel, they offered to drive it to me, which I declined but was nice of them nonetheless.
The food was fresh, super delicious and on the large order, they give you enough food to feed you twice. The macaroni salad was great, duri djondjon was awesome and the Tasso kabrit was excellent. If you're in Irvington or close by, this is one spot that I'd definitely recommend!“

“I’ve order for the past two days the chicken and beef soup because I’ve been sick. It is some of the best Jamaican soup I’ve had in awhile that’s really good besides home ?. I appreciate you guys reaching out for my Uber eats order letting me know that it was going to be awhile. The little things always count and go a long way. “I have been eating here for a little under a year and the food has never disappointed me favorite is the curry, goat, rice and peas, cabbage and plantain. However, I have tried the fried chicken red pea soup , jerk, chicken, oxtails, curry chicken, beef patty. Regardless, what you pick you’re gonna find chunks of ginger in it, so be careful as you eat some meals are spicier than others, but all are very flavorful in my opinion. I am hoping in the future to try the salmon option when they have a fish fry in the summer. I personally do not like any Jamaican restaurants, macaroni, and cheese, so I have not tried their version at all, nor have I tried the typical African-American sides like collard greens, candied yams, and so forth. I stick to the typical jamaican options for sides. I see signs for roti too never tried that yet . Rank the atmosphere three out of five because the neighborhood is a bit rough know in the area so be mindful of limitations on parking and people randomly standing on the side walk.“

Today I ordered an oxtail dinner that was by far THE BEST oxtails I've ever have at a restaurant!!! “I go to the Roy's in Linden and the food is very good the oxtails, the stewed chicken, Mac and cheese, the yams are scrumptious, the potatoes salad is very tasty and i dont like potatoe salad, the fried chicken wings are deeelicious and to top it off the peach cobbler, sweet potatoes pie and the carrot cake is dangerous, just soOo gooood the place is small but always kept clean and the customers are coming in and out I went their one evening toward closing and they had nutin but oxtails left and that was a small amount which speaks volume but I really wanna mention and rate the service as this is what makes a good business and is just as important as good food I give Roy's an extra ☆☆☆☆☆ 5 stars for Ms Jay and Ms Shana the both of them are just lovely they both are professional with the customers and their communication is very tasteful they both are just pure aaaadorable I pray that you have nutin but increase ~ blessings endlessly ❤️“

The food was delicious with just the right amount of kick, the price was right, and the service was great. That container was so stuffed with good home cooking, that we had more than enough for two plus leftovers for the next day. I will definitely come back next time I’m in the area and will try something new. They had a good variety including an assortment of juices I didn’t even notice til we paid.
