“My husband and I made the long drive yesterday (2 1/2 hrs each way) from upstate NY to visit our daughter in NYC just for the day. While strolling around her neighborhood we came upon your lovely bakery and cafe and after eyeing the beautiful carrot cake in the window, we had to go in. Carrot cake is my favorite sweet treat. There were so many beautiful choices, but we got 2 slices of carrot cake to take back home with us. After the long drive back home we were really looking forward to a piece of cake and a cup of coffee. I opened one of the beautifully packed boxes, which revealed an enormous slice of yumminess!! The slice was big enough for at least 3 people. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Everything about this cake was phenomenal. The frosting was outstanding, the cake was so flavorful and moist. It was the best we’ve ever had. We have enough left for a few days. I’m so glad we stopped in. It was a great way to end our lovely day in the city and will most certainly go back on our next trek in . I will also have to get our daughter pick up some baked goods when she’s coming home for a visit. I highly recommend Crumbly Cafe & Bakery😊😊“

“I work for a law firm in CA and we have an employee who works remotely in NY.. For our employee's birthday I wanted to choose a bakery close to her home and who was local. Stumbled upon Buttercup Bake Shop and they were so awesome! Totally worked with me and delivered the cupcakes with NO hassle. Needless to say our NY employee was super happy and LOVED the flavors and decorations of the cupcakes. ❤️“

“Levain was packed with a line almost out the door at 9pm on a Tuesday. It maintained that pace for the 30 minutes that we were there. We got a lemon, and fudge cookie. The cookies were very good, though I thought they were almost too sweet, and too subtle on flavor, especially on the lemon cookie. The buttery flavor was intense in a good way though. It's a great place, I would definitely come back again, but with less of a line“

My wife after the long day she had put in the wrong address on the door dash order and the driver called screaming at me and wouldn’t come 1.3 miles to bring them even after explaining the circumstances. Door dash refunded my whole order without me even asking and I called Levain and they went above and beyond. They gave us cookies on the house and even threw in an extra chocolate chip and delivered them to CHOP. Not only are the cookies fabulous the hospitality is second to none. I am a lifelong customer to this location and want to thank everyone at the Rittenhouse location especially Mat who went above and beyond. Thanks again!“

We ordered a pack of 6 cookies to bring to Spain with no expectations that they would arrive whole in the suitcase and surprisingly they arrived perfect 😃 (later I realized that they could be carried in your hand to take them on the plane as a personal item) 😉
They gave them to us warm and newly decorated.
Just don't expect much sympathy from the employees 🙄“

“Got the popular pistachio raspberry cake slice and the mango passion fruit mousse cake. They were both great. The cake slice looks slim but is quite filling. The mango passionfruit mousse had a coconut base which was a little too sweet but the tanginess from the mousse balanced it well. Overall, it’s a decent spot to go to for those sweet cravings.“
