“Everything about our experience here was so so amazing. The second we walked in the door all the servers were so warm and welcoming. When ordering our food they were incredibly patient despite being very busy and took the time to answer any questions we had and talk to us about Greek culture and cuisine. The food felt like a homecooked meal and I would not be surprised if there was someone's grandmother in the kitchen doing all the cooking. On top of all this, the feta....it changed my life. I am not sure where they get it from but I could eat it with a spoon from the jar. Highly, highly, highly recommend this restaurant.“

“Food is terrific and authentic! In lieu of a bread basket they put down a plate of excellent pita and eggplant dip and also gave us and the tables around us a complimentary dessert (delicious). Not sure if this is typical or just for the particular night I was there. Service could be smoother... not bad, but someone should train the waitstaff to give people a few minutes to make menu selections (not come to the table 3 times in 10 minutes) and to check back in halfway through to inquire if anyone would like more wine/drinks. I had to stop the waiter to ask for a second glass of wine, which never showed up. The decor was pleasant and would've been pretty quiet if not for a large table of very boisterous people. Overall, a wonderful, authentic, local spot that I will definitely return to!“

“This is my dream diner. Breakfast is my favorite meal and Madison delivers. Many other reviewers complained about the prices. The prices may be slightly higher ($2-$3?) than other places but you get what you pay for. First, the place is immaculate. Everything shines like a mirror. Second, the food is cooked by a certain kind of professional. I'll compare to another cafe nearby that offers a load of grease with your food. Not here. My hash browns were crispy, fluffy, perfect. Eggs, again perfection. The coffee was not as good as it could be (Lavazza please), but more than drinkable. I'm thinking of moving to NYC. “Everything was great except they had trouble dividing the bill as 2/3rd and 1/3rd. After waiting for over 15 minutes we said split in and we'd sort the difference in cash. It would have been good form to give us cookies or a glass of wine while we waited so long. On the plus side, the food was as tasty as always.“

“WOW!!! Best spinach pie ever! My wife spent time living in Greece and ate a spinach pie every day for lunch. She has been trying to find a similar pie for me to enjoy since I was not there. We have had spinach pies from the West coast to NYC. Here we found the best she has ever had and me as well. It was huge, thick, full of fresh spinach and cheese, flaky outside, hot, and served with style! Thank you!“

“I've been coming here for years!!! The most authentic Greek food I've had here in the states. Everything on the menu is a hit. The food takes about 10 minutes if you order in-person. Everything is fresh, tasty, and quality. There is limited seating indoors but plenty of additional seating outside to immerse yourself in the Montclair streetscape. The owner, Efi, is extremely accommodating and professional. She cares deeply about the quality of food and service. I can't recommend this place enough. Fair warning though: you will crave Efi's Gyro after trying it!“
