“This place is such a VIBE....The food was phenomenal, we had the watermelon salad (oh my lord, the flavor in this was outstanding, so glad I tried it), the lobster gnocchi, and the lobster, shrimp and scallop Fra Diavolo - both excellent dishes! The complimentary bread and olive oil plate that came out before our meals was also exceptional, full of spices and flavor. We booked on Resy and were seated immediately upon arrival. The food came out quickly and the service was excellent as well. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive, and the manager and chef came to our table during our dinner to check in. The additional staff that refilled our water and cleared our plates were also very friendly. The atmosphere is upscale and the view of the marina is spectacular. Well done LaBarca we'll be back soon !!“

“We had dinner at Chef Vola’s on 9/17/25 to celebrate my Birthday. What an excellent dinner and experience. The service is wonderful and our head waiter Anthony is a great guy who provides the best service. The food is beyond comparing it to another restaurant. My wife had the salmon with special sauces that she said was the best she ever had. The bone in veal parmigiana was the best I have ever had by far and there is no comparison. We had the blush pasta which also was outstanding. Our sincere gratitude to the Chef Vola staff for making my birthday extra special.“

“My wife and I’s favorite Italian restaurant in the entire country. Closest dish you will get to dining in Italy. 🇮🇹 Food is so authentic ! We go every year for our anniversary. Atmosphere is amazing and staff so accommodating with their table side made dishes. I recommend any of the bone in veal dishes. Make sure you make reservations but once you eat here you will understand why as it’s a one of a kind experience ! Five stars all around !“

“Booked from the casino floor of Tropicana and had a table in 15 minutes. Nice table with ocean view. Our waiter “William” was spot on! Took time to introduce himself and make a connection with us as individuals, not just another table on a night that appeared to be short staffed, covering many tables. He was attentive to maintaining a comfortable table to clear plates and refresh our drinks.“

“This was an excellent dining experience for the most part! The service was great and the food was great. We had just returned from Italy and were reminiscing with some friends about the food and how it compared to the freshness of the meals at Sunday gravy. But toward the end of the meal you could tell we were being rushed… and then the hostess confirmed that our bill was paid and then actually asked us to leave 😳. Because she had tables waiting. How embarrassing and disappointing. No where on the online reservation did it say we had a time limit.“

“It's like going home on Christmas Day. While George is no longer there to greet you with a friendly smile and a warm hug, his counterparts are, and they do a fine job. The room is exceptional, the menu has been a bit disappointing of late, so we make many more trips to the Steak House right next door, and the Sunday brunch was not very good the last time we dined there on Mother's Day. All and all, we know everything changes, we have been going to the establishment well over 30 years and it is not the same as it was in the beginning, but still way above many others. If you are old enough and lucky enough to remember the days when we would sing to a strolling guitar and accordion, then you know how magical and special it really was in the past. It is too bad they cannot recreate those times, they were a dining experience like no other.“

“Great food & service! I got the bow tie pasta and it was incredible and my fiancé got the steak and said it was great. Staff was super friendly, however, there were these older drunk men at the bar (about 5 or 6 of them) and they were being so loud, cursing, and just carrying on and making a huge scene. I literally had to yell at my fiancé who was sitting RIGHT next to me. They ruined the whole vibe and experience. The staff did nothing to quiet them and they were just so freaking obnoxious!!“

Last night I got a basic chicken sandwich I substituted the roll for a giant garlic knot because of my severe dairy intolerance and it was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had...EVER! My son had the vegan cheese steak stromboli and he loved it. I have tried some of the vegan things he has gotten and they are fantastic, you would never know your eating vegan! They are clean and friendly, food is great and they are great with all my questions about ingredients and substitutions due to my dietary issues.“

“Barrels needs more reviews!! We love ordering from Barrels! We have never dined in, we always order out and usually on a Sunday. For this order, we got the wrong meal and boy was I bummed out!! We were clear with our direction and even repeated the order but somehow the order was incorrect. Aside from this snafu, I would 100% recommend eating the food from Barrels. The portions are large, the quality & flavor delicious and consistent.“

“My family and I had frequented La Fontana (Strathmere) for over 20 years. What drew us back for some time was the humbleness of fine Italian food mixed with genuinely kind and low keyed charismatic servers. There was unfortunately a shift in management. Our relationship with La Fontana changed. Our final dinner at La Fontana (Strathmere) ended with the general restaurant manager having an explosive fit directed toward two life long friends in their mid-80s.“

“Parking: It's a storefront on the boardwalk so whatever parking they provide but you gone have to hit them boards one way or the other🤷🏽 It is worth it tho...AND I have issues with walking from MS so the average person will be fine. For the rest of us- come by car, cane, crutch or chair - however it be, just get there.“
