Good to know this pizza still values their customers enough to add an affordable pizza special for us people that are struggling to make ends meet in this economy. “If anyone needs an idea for a local birthday party, I would highly reccomend pizza making at Charlie's in Manchester. I took my Dasiy girl Scout Troop there and it was fabulous! The girls had so much fun and ask for Theresa she was awesome interacting with the girls and so patient with the mess they made lol. I would never have thought of it for a birthday party bc we earned a fun patch for the troop but would tell anyone to try it out as a party! Plus I love the pizza there!“

“A friend gifted a $100 gift card that we first used $70.01 on 7/01/2023. Went back today, 12/22/2024, and attempted to use the remaining $29.99 on part of our bill, but were advised that the card was declined. Service was good and food was good but was alarmed that $100 was paid but only $70.01 was honored. I advise beware of gift card purchases. We will not be going back.“

“Went to Slice House last night for the first time. Thought they were related to Scianos our favorite place and found out it was the Sons who opened it. Well we kind of felt like traitors but owed it a try. Well from the outside doesn’t look like much but as soon as you open the door you are greeted warmly by a blond young lady behind the counter, an open air bright clean restaurant. Its not big but roomy enough with low and high top tables. One of the sons was behind the counter and he very friendly took my order. They had advertised a mussels and pizza special for about $28. Their ad showed a picture of the best looking mussels I had ever seen. I asked him if they really looked that good so I ordered that and a very thin crust pizza which he graciously said he could accommodate. We sat at a table and waited. We were never neglected and checked on often for our needs. They brought the mussels first like we asked and they were better looking than the picture BUT the taste BEST I ever had! Plump and tasty, sauce suburb light with cherry tomatoes and sweet garlic. The even asked if we wanted more bread! After we sopped up every bit the pie came out. PERFECT in every way. They have such great selections plus desserts. Our next visit we will try the wings. We will still go to Scianos for their great meals but Slice House is are now our go to Pizza and Mussels place. Bravo to Slice House and the Staff for an enjoyable experience.“

“My sister and brother-in-law were visiting NJ and staying in Tom’s River. I suggested we meet at Sugo for lunch. We were greeted warmly when we entered and were seated immediately. Service was professional and attentive. We ordered two falafel platters, a quinoa salad and a bowl of ziti for the table. The food was delicious and we all finished our meals. Interestingly, the falafel platter didn’t come with pita. This isn’t a complaint, just an observation. Since the portion was so big, I didn’t miss the pita. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The owner of Sugo’s also owns Giddy’s in Highland Park. The food there is equally as good.“

“Kept driving by this place and finally got to try it out last week. As a Chicago native, I can tell you this is what I've been looking for the past 3 years of living here. The crust does not explode in your mouth like a bunch of tiny little splinters, it's softer and doughy. The ingredients and cheese are not skimped out on either, they are fresh ingredients and plentiful at that. The only thing I would change is more sauce, but I can do that myself next order on my own. Leftovers microwaved is a no go but air fried it's just like it came out of the oven all over again. In a Jersey full of Luigi's, pick Marios, you won't be disappointed. I suggest adding the wings into your order as well, best take out wings I've had from a pizza shop, super crispy breading and juicy interior.“

“Last night we ordered from this establishment and it was great. I'm really hoping they stay at this location. We ordered a pizza with extra cheese, meatballs, and onion (half plain extra cheese). I requested the pizza not "well done" because that's now we like it. They delivered an amazing pie. We also ordered a fettuccine alfredo dinner to share. It was really good and a good portion. It came with bread and the bread was heated and wrapped in foil which was lovely. We can't wait to order from here again, I mostly cook at home so takeout is a special treat but this place sure made it worth it!“

“This place has been owned by the same family in many many years..the owners are from Italy and speak broken English but if ur Italian like me it's beautiful to hear. They are the nicest ppl in the area and are also open till 1am and is there when you need a midnight snack. There pizza is literally the best I ever had

“If you are in the Toms River area this is a hidden gem. Real NYC style pie! Food is great and very authentic Italian feel especially the dinners. Pictures of Venice posted all over which is a nice touch. The dinning area has arches and beautiful photos of famous actors and famous Italian stars. In fact the owner is Italian and born in Italy. Apparently the owner Vinnie was the original owner of Cafe' Napoli in Shoprite Plaza in Manchester & La Gondola in Lakehurst making pies for over 20 years! In fusing years of experience "That's Amore'' is his best version of a Pizza Trattoria Italiana. Every time, you come in the owner Vinnie is so welcoming and such a nice guy! Always asking you how you are? Or how's the family? Did I mention Vennie is straight Italy? You can always here Italian spoken here. My Phil brother worked as a delivery driver a few years ago during college and said its like a family when working there. Your always welcomed back. All the staff is super nice never had a problem in the going there for more then a 2 and a half years now. Not an overly expensive place and not cheap food at all. Great to book for the holidays like Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, New Years, or a personal occasion you wont be disappointed. Even if they make a mistake, they are always pretty good & willing to make it correct for you. Usually giving you a free pie or order, if they mess it up. Great Quality pies! Give them try!“

Someone at another table ordered French toast, and boy did that smell good.And the other dishes other people were getting also looked delicious. Average pizza for average kosher prices in Lakewood. Sandwiches and salads are also available. There is nothing about this place that stands out (for good or for bad). The area is heavily commercial so parking can be tricky as well as commuting during busy hours.“

“I ordered a sandwich and wings yesterday and unfortunately by a pure accident my sandwich had the wrong peppers on it. I called just to let them know and with no hesitation they offered to make me a new sandwich. I wasn’t able to go back yesterday because of the time but they honored it today. “Ordered through DoorDash last night and couldn't have been happier! I was craving Fried Calamari. It was crispy and light, not at all greasy, and came with a large container of freshly made marinara sauce on the side. On a whim, I also ordered a Linguini with White Clam Sauce which I planned on saving for tonight's dinner. Didn't happen. When I opened the container, saw and smelled the pasta, I had to try it. I wound up eating a third of it immediately. The sauce was chock full of small little necks and chopped garlic and had a substantial and thoroughly enjoyable flavor which complemented the linguini rather than overpowering it. And this all came with a full, small loaf of Italian bread! What more could I ask for? Plus they use eco friendly aluminum and paper take out containers. I'll be back to try other items on their menu.“

Chicken parm was thin, crispy and had layers of delicious mozzarella. The penne vodka was perfectly cooked and we even had extra sauce given to us.
