“Food was surprisingly good. Had the sliders and the prosciutte, mozzarella, bread appetizers along with prosecco.

Service however is just ok to slow. They brought out the dishes but forgot platters. They also never came back for the check. We had to find someone to give us the check.“

“I wish I could give Sihana Bistro more than five stars. We hosted a surprise 40th birthday party for my brother and the party exceeded all of my expectations. My first call with the fantastic owner, David, was seamless. David is incredibly nice and so easy to work with. He catered to our every need, was responsive throughout the planning stage, and was present during our entire event.

Venue: This restaurant is beautiful. You feel good as soon as you walk in. It’s bright and spotless. The ceilings are high and the attention to detail in the design and decor is obvious. There was more than enough room for our all of guests and the layout - private room + bar area - was perfect.

Staff: The staff is SO KIND. The service was impeccable and they are hands down the best team I’ve worked with. They helped us move furniture, kept the food coming at just the right pace, served drinks quickly, accommodated all requests through the night, and let us stay after the restaurant closed because we were having such a good time.

Foods: One word: Excellent. The food was DELICIOUS and there was so much of it. We served a true buffet dinner and had leftovers after feeding all of our guests! The mushrooms were a hit!

Location: The location is great and close to literally everything downtown. The restaurant was easy for our guests to get to and there are so many places to go nearby after an event. The Rutgers campus nearby is also spectacular to see when you visit.

We decided to try it again yesterday and we were pleasantly surprises. There were 4 of us and we all loved what we ordered. The salmon and crab cake were delicious and so were the salads. The steak tenderloin was tender and tasty as well! The service was excellent. Our waitress couldn't have been nicer. The ine disappointment was the cappuccinos we ordered. They werent hot and even though waitress redid them they still came out lukewarm at best. Looking forward to returning.“

I am so surprised that I haven’t been to Mandara’s before considering that I have been frequenting the Essex County area for the past four years. Decided to go for dinner tonight and we can’t wait to come back!

Highlights:
You HAVE to try the pizza, one of the best margherita pizza’s in this area and the chicken marsala was phenomenal! The portions are generous!!

The service was amazing, our waiter came by to check in on us at appropriate times, they brought over extra napkins without us even having to ask, and were attentive to our requests.

Overall, ambiance was amazing, great food with huge portions, and amazing staff!“

The cellphone ordering is very cool and helpful for when the bartender has a full order. You can just get your order in and not have to wait to get their attention like at traditional bars.
