“This place is GREAT!
We were craving for some ttukbokki and kimbop, decided to try for a new place.
Their kimbop is delicious, great fillings and well seasoned seaweed.
Ttukbokki came out nice and hot. Rice cake was nicely cooked and seasoned. But come on, look at the boiled egg, it’s not one of those overcooked yolk!!
Ramyun and udon was also delicious, noodles were done jussssssst right. I will admit that I was a little thrown off by mixed greens on ramyun.
Donkatsu was one of the best as well. Pork was just the right amount of thickness and crispy.
I also don’t feel like crap after eating the food there, not over seasoned with high sodium or MSG.
People were also great there, highly highly recommend it!“

“We had korean bbq. It was pretty costly, but the meat, as far as I can tell, wasn't cheap meat, so all was good.
They also give you a good variety or banchan and they'll make fried pork belly rice if you leave some pork belly pieces after having the kbbq (add. charge)“

“My family’s go-to spot whenever we’re up in palisades park. The noodles are absolutely amazing, I actually prefer the sujebi over the noodles and it is equally as good. The starters are also good and the side dishes are always fresh, portion sizes are good and definitely worth the price!“

“We came here in March. We had a great experience and the food was delicious. The restaurant space is quite small. You get your own water. My husband really enjoyed the egg side dish. We love this place a lot and can’t wait to come back. The soy sauce marinated crab is a must try.“

“Nice sushi/sashimi Korean restaurant. The food was plenty and tasty. Also, the food was clean. Service was good. Our waitress was present and attentive. The sashimi and sushi variety was good. Decor was traditional for a Korean seafood restaurant.“

“I wasn't going to share this place with anyone because I don't want it to get crowded but I have to bc I love it so much. Presenting my new watering hole in Bergen! The location is where the old 21 used to be, on the top floor of the Son Jjajang building. Great happy hour everyday 4-8!! It's a steal considering how good the food is. Happy hour all types of soju are $8.99 and beers are cheap too. All the big dishes on the happy hour menu are between $14-$18 and I think the portion sizes are the same! I have yet to try something that I don't love on the menu. Their: Cheese buldak (fire chicken w/ mozzarella cheese.. ask for medium spicy if you can't do heat!) Jogae sujebi (Korean version of.. gnocchi? in clam broth..I always order another side of sujebi) Donkatsu (breaded & fried pork cutlet) Tofu & kimchi Ddukbokki (spicy rice cakes... I usually ask for cheese on this also lol) Tong dak (whole fried chicken) Gaeran mari (Korean cheese omlette w/ fried garlic on top) Budae jjigae (Korean army soup, goes great with soju!) and weirdly enough their giant plate of FRIES (idk what they do to those fries they're just fries but they're so good lol) are among some of my favorites. However, the food tends to be on the spicier side which isn't an issue for me, but if you can't handle too much spice be sure to tell your waiter. I can't say enough about how good the food is. The chef apparently refuses to use anything but the best ingredients and it shows in the taste of the food. Portions are big too! Obviously I eat here a lot... lol Oh and the servers and manager are all so nice!! One time we had a big party of 10 but they didn't have space so they put us in their only karaoke room in the back. We wanted to watch the US Open but we couldn't figure out the TV in the room so the manager found an HDMI cable and hooked his own cellphone up to it so we could watch. How sweet?!! At the moment they only serve soju and beer but I have been told that they will start offering liquor soon :) Like I said, I don't want this place to get crowded but they deserve the business with food and service like this. I hope they stick around and become a new staple in Pal Park! PS. The menu is entirely in Korean so bring a friend who is fluent or ask the waiters for suggestions! I will definitely have to mention to them that they should make an English version of their menu. Will be back with pictures later!“

“It's been a really long time since I visited. It's been a few years since I came here when my son was in my womb, and as I remember(?) from back then, my son really enjoyed it and my wife and I had a happy dinner.
The managers, servers, and even the owner were very kind and made me feel like I was being treated with respect.
I hope that you will continue to thrive and be able to eat delicious, high-quality food for a long time ?“

“The “House Malatang” was sooo delicious. And reasonably priced! (How it works is you choose the vegetables and meats that you want, bring them to the counter, choose your soup, and they cook it all up and bring it to you) Definitely going again ?“

“I wish I can give this restaurant 100/10 stars!! From the food, to the staff, and the beautiful atmosphere everything about Kumade was absolutely incredible! Our server, Paul, was truly amazing and he gave us such great recommendations! Our favorite was the chicken teriyaki, fried dumplings and assorted skewers. I’d highly recommend everyone coming here, and I definitely will be back!“

“Among the crab combo, the soy sauce crab was just soso.. It was disappointing that there were no crab shells, and it had a slight crab smell..? Still, this crab paste seems to be good in the US, the abalone and shrimp paste are really delicious, and I ordered roe rice, but the roe rice was soft, so it goes really well with the abalone paste and shrimp paste. The green onion pancakes given as a side service were a bit greasy, but the flour was very thick and crispy, so it was totally my taste..🥰
I wasn't able to try Baeksuk because it requires a reservation 90 minutes in advance, but I registered it as a restaurant I want to come back to eat later!“

“Family owned small business that offers the best soulongtang (beef bone soups) and sundaeguk (blood sausage soups) in the neighborhood. Their prices have gone up since I first started going here years ago but the soup is still great and a decent value. The shop is no-frills with a few table tops and stools. Everything use to be $10 and then during the pandemic, prices varied and I didn't like that they didn't have their prices posted but now they do which is much more transparent. Their menu is still in Korean so you might need the help of Google Translate if you can't read Hangul.“

“Food was great. Tall server was rude on Saturday. I asked him if he thinks their “spicy” is intolerable, which I commonly ask since each cuisines style of spice is different and usually servers either warn you beforehand or are super nice and find the question funny. He literally flipped and slammed the menu down in front of me and aggressively pointed to each of the spice levels as if I was dyslexic, worded them out, and just stood there afterwards waiting because he didn’t want to explain or maybe didn’t understand me… but even if he didn’t understand me it wouldn’t explain the attitude. Bad behaviour just ruins the potential for the food to fully satisfy because the food was fire! Compliments to the chef!“

“If this place was near me I would eat it once a week. In general I don’t believe in going back to restaurants when traveling for work because there are so many good ones out there. Tang Maru is one I will return to! The spicy squid was amazing. Unexpectedly, it had udon-type noodles, which were a nice touch. Also had the rice cake soup, which was very good. The food was a tad more delicately-flavored than some other Korean restaurants I’ve been to, but in a good way. Service was perfect. They even gave me complimentary tea.“

“I catered the food, and they did it really neatly, so we had a great party ♡The food was delicious, haha. Even if I tried to add more, they told me to stop because it was enough...there was a reason hahaha. The portion was really generous~~ I'll order it again next time +_+“

“I ordered spicy pork stir-fry (제육볶음) and grilled mackerel (고등어구이), and they were absolutely delicious. The portions were so generous that I packed all the leftovers to take home. Even my child enjoyed the grilled mackerel, saying it tasted amazing. I'll definitely be back again next time.
Parking: I usually park in the restaurant's own parking lot during regular hours, and in the evening, I use the Mustard Seed Preschool parking lot next door. Thanks to this, I've never had any issues with parking.
Kid-friendliness: The owner was also very kind and had a great affection for children.“

It's definitely a must-try if you're a fan of frozen treats! The staff working there were also really cool and friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by!“

“I’ve tried in store and takeout (Jjajangmyeon, jjampong, 탕수육, 깐풍새우). The food is amazing and portions are okay compared to the price. The only thing is when it gets really busy like around noon, it gets very crowded in the small space.“

“Celebrated my brother- in- law's job acceptance tonight. He wanted- to eat here because a few times we have had it through calling and picking up the order.
I had Vegetable curry with rice. Curry was flavorful. The vegetables were mixed in it too.
Restaurant was relaxing, decor was clean and simple. Our waitress was friendly and came over frequently to add water. All payments are accepted.“
“Probably the best Korean Food found in NJ. I have frequently bought the Lunch Menu for my Kid and I was never disappointed. They prepare a various kinds of menu each day. I strongly encourage you to try this place if you’re looking for the best Korean Foods.“

“I recently went to a Korean BBQ place in New Jersey for the first time with my boyfriend, and it was a really fun experience! We went there for dinner, and overall, it was a nice spot to try something different. The price was on the expensive side, but I guess they do things a bit differently here, so it felt special.
The meat tasted super fresh and was cooked perfectly. What’s cool about this place is that they cook the meat for you at the table, so you don’t have to do it yourself. It’s a great way to enjoy the food without worrying about overcooking it! The unlimited side dishes were definitely a win. There were so many to choose from, and they kept refilling them, which was a nice bonus. The side dishes added a lot of variety to the meal, and everything was fresh and flavorful.
The service was really nice, too. The staff was friendly and respectful, and we even had a little chat with them, which made the experience feel more personal. They were attentive and made sure everything was going smoothly.
While the food was delicious, I did feel a bit hungry after the meal since the portions weren’t super big. For the price, I expected to leave feeling full, but that wasn’t quite the case. Because it’s a bit expensive, I think this place is better for special occasions or important events rather than a casual dinner.
Overall, it was a good experience, and I’d consider coming back for a special event. The fresh meat, unlimited sides, and great service made it a memorable first visit!“

“Visit the bakery yesterday, and it was worth every dollar I spend. The Pecan cream ring tasted just how I remembered when I was a kid. I also bought one double chocolate cookie, which was amazing!! I wish I bough more. The staff was super nice and helpful. I grew up in pal park, and the bakery was always the go to spot for our desserts. Keep it going and no slacking on the deliciousness. Going back today for more cookies😁“

“For what I ordered (steamed chicken with broccoli - garlic sauce on the side for dipping as you like - or don't), it's very good. The chicken when steamed (if it is good) is how you can measure if the restaurant is any good and it defintely passed the test. Most other Chinese restaurants chicken when steamed (with no sauce on it and eaten) will taste gamey and just not edible in my book. This was NOT the case.
Other than that, the parking is non existent in the later hours till closing in front of the restaurant as the parking is shared with tenants of the building above and other restaurants in the same location. Not good for being on route 5 I can assure you, but still doable.
Lastly, I know it's a Chinese restaurant, but they rush you off the phone when ordering without you finishing a thought or a sentence. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT.
Have one more minute of patience and you might make more money per order. An extreme turn off when ordering anywhere really.
Lastly, NO DELIVERY.
Take this all into consideration and see if it's right with you. Any updates as to all items ordered, I will update here shortly. Happy food hunting....
***This is strictly an order to pick up type spot as the inside seating is small and needs a refresh if you ask me and some cleaning.“

“Good place to chill and get bubble tea after spa at King Spa! Huge interior to chill and relax! Location: It is located in Palisades Park. The store is big with a lot of seating! The interior is nice and you can feel that you want to study inside. Service: not that much interaction, i just ordered and go. Food: I only ordered BLACK SESAME BUBBLE TEA: it was good, and unlike other slushies that after a while you lost the taste. This one until the end you can taste the black sesame. They have wide variety of breads too, and I think they are good. Price rating: 5/10, not that bad. I will go there after spending my whole day at King Spa! Nice store to chill and relax.“

“Pleasantly surprised. This is a takeout place. No place for sit down. Ordered 1/2 soondae 1/2 jokbal. One of the best soondae I had in years. Jokbal was very nicely done. The portion was huge. Three full servings for myself. And still had some sides left over. I will definitely order again.“

“I ordered fried wings and BBQ wings from Seoul Chicken, and I have to say, they were the best wings I’ve had in a long time! The fried wings were perfectly crispy, while the BBQ wings had a delicious smoky flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. The wings arrived fresh, juicy, and packed with flavor.
I’ll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend if you’re craving amazing wings!“

“I ordered it for delivery a few times, and the taste of the sauce and seasoning were just right for my taste, so I plan to order it again.
-What I liked the most were Nanjawans and Yoo Sanseul. The Yusanseul was delicious as it came out exactly as I expected, and the Nanjawanse was a bit perplexed by its appearance as the individual pieces of meat were more round-shaped than I expected, but the sticky meat inside and soft texture on the outside went well with the sauce. I enjoyed it.
-I didn't enjoy the Jjajangmyeon and Kkanpunggi as much as I did, but since I live about an hour away from delivery, I think there was nothing I could do physically to prevent the noodles from going bad or the batter from becoming mushy.“

“Was here 3 weeks ago with 4 girlfriends. The food we ordered were delicious and loved that the skewers rotated itself once they were placed.
If you are plan on eating a lot of skewers (particularly lamb) I suggest coming in pairs or small group of 3. While the menu states there's a minimum piece order, it doesn't tell you, you are also capped at a certain amount of pieces when you order certain cuts (i believe it was lamb and beef?)
There was one dish in particular I loved and still think about - I don't remember the name but it was deep fried red chili and pork. It was so goooood! The owner was kind and explained when we asked why buy it would've just been nice to know at the very beginning or see it on the menu for full transparency because it caught us all off guard.
All in all, I would definitely go back and cap it to 3 people max so we can have the full skewer experience.“

“The taste was all good, but I was told that the order tracking wasn't ready, so I waited for a while and when I went into the store, it had been a while since it had been served. The food was almost cold, which was a bit disappointing. I think you can enjoy it more if you update it right away.“

“This was a really fun time it's exactly what we wanted. There was street parking but the lot of this place was full the whole time. Bathrooms were clean. Bartender poured serious drinks and had us singing by the 2nd round. It's always nice to have a private room to just sing out with friends. They are very popular so you may need to order some food and drinks if you want more than one hour but that probably depends on the day. Anyway I highly recommend this place, we will be going again. I know the room we were in was a little tight but I imagine they have larger rooms for more people.
Parking: There was parking but it was full we found spots on the street and I think the signs said after 7pm you're good.
Kid-friendliness: There were kids having birthday parties in other rooms we only saw passing in the halls
Wheelchair accessibility: I don't think this was wheelchair friendly I know we took a small flight of maybe 4-7 steps at the entrance but that was it.“
