“Place is a hidden treasure. Food is outstanding! The waiters were very welcoming, funny and very attentive without rushing us before we could ask for anything they were right there. The owner is super sweet with a beautiful personality. He makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk in. The food was phenomenal every dish was seasoned perfectly and portions were plentiful. The prices very reasonable for the service and food quality they provide. This is so far our favorite Italian cuisine restaurant I'm so glad we live close by we will be back. “Our experience at Pancetta was great! Our waitress Monica, was so friendly, patient and accommodating. She was happy to ask the bar our questions about drinks and answer any questions about food. By the end of the night we wanted her to have a seat and join us for dinner! The food came out extremely quickly and the The bar was willing to put together a drink that wasn't on the menu for us. “I can’t believe we waited so long to try this neighborhood spot! It’s a chilly November evening , and we got seats at the bar. Such an inviting and intimate setting! The vibe was perfect for a couple’s night out. The food was even better than expected. We ordered the pasta bolognese and the meatball pizza. Both were excellent. The ricotta cheesecake was exceptional! Super creamy and dense with a burnt sugar crust on top. Served with ice cream and berries. Definitely Briciola is now at the top of our list!“

Not what it used to be. I’ve been going to Aumm Aumm since they opened the first location in Gutenberg and I have always said the englewood location is just not the same. I have been here a few times and while it’s a very pretty place, the food is just inever as good as Guttenburg and even Guttenberg has been hit or miss over the years. I went last night with my family, not only was the service awful, they already included the tip for a party of five. Our very rude waiter, never even bothered to tell us that the tip was included. My husband paid the check. I only asked him the total and thought the amount seemed kind of high for what we ate. when I looked at the check when I got home, I realized the tip had already been included. So the very rude waiter thinks he is deserving of a 40% tip Never bothering to tell us it was included and he walked away with 84.00 tip on a 200.00 check? In general, the food was not great and definitely not as good as it used to be. It’s such a shame because this truly was one of the more authentic Italian places .“

“Very good place for Neapolitan-style pizza. We started off with grilled artichoke hearts with lemon vinaigrette & shaved pecorino toscano - a nice antipasto - and then shared two pizzas: the spicy Picca (tomato sauce, fontina, hot sausage, red onions, chillies) and the Norma (tomato sauce, fried eggplant, ricotta, pecorino, garlic & basil).

Both were really good - with soft, pillowy, lightly-charred Neapolitan-style crust - but the zesty Picca had the edge (the Norma was slightly bland / under seasoned).

“My wife and I were there for a political function combo meeting and Christmas luncheon. This establishment is super clean, bright, and cozy. The food and wine were delicious. I had chicken parm. Was fantastic. Was batted down thin and breaded and seasoned to perfection. VERY tender, I only had to use my folk to cut. The marinara was fresh semi chunky lite delicious and perfect. The fresh bread came in handy to clean up my plate. My wife has a fresh pasta marinara dish and NO complaints there. “So my Lenten sacrifice included all things that look good, taste good & make me feel good. So last night after an intense interpersonal interaction earlier in the day I headed to Yatenga. I was greeted by the lovely Todd the bar man (one of the things that look good)who greeted warmly and took my order. He returned with my preferred cocktail-The Lou Lou! The fact that he remembered made me feel like a Prince (only a Prince as he’s a King). I started my meal with the Cauliflower soup which was well flavored and simply delicious. It was so good it was enough to turn a carnivore into a vegetarian! Then I had the Chicken Francaise which was prepared to perfection. The accompanying sauce was smooth and also highly flavored. The chicken breast’s were tender & the texture was as if the chicken had just been sacrificed moments before. The vegetables of haricot verts and carrots were perfectly al dente. And my dessert of Tart Tartin could not have been better; nice flaky crust and perfectly sweetened! In the past 13 years I have not patronized another restaurant in Harlem in particular and NYC in general. Why? Because I don’t have the confidence that I will be as well treated and cared for and well-fed as I am at Yatenga. The fact that Todd the barman does double duty as a server and does it affably is one major reason I keep going back. The management must be superior-why else would the staff be so equally superior. I travel a lot for work & thusly try to avoid restaurants in other towns and villages because I know they’re not Yatenga.“

“A great Korean fusion bar in the neighborhood that's passionate about good food!
I had a buddy over from Michigan who did not mind the snow, so with wife, we went to eat through snow BLIZZARD to JJ Dak Sunday evening as they were open. Inside was chic and cozy as I expected, and we were led to a rather smallish dining room on the side of first floor. Center area was for the bar. I've wanted to try JJ Dak for a while now, so we ordered up w/ pleasant server who explained the menu for us.
I. ATMOSPHERE (4/5) - Great vibe! Dimly lit with thoughtful biergarten style decorations galore, it felt warm, cozy yet stylish. Good for dates & drinks with buddies.
II. FOOD (4/5)
Squid Fries ($14, APP, 5/5) - Hands down the best food of the visit. Fresh squid w/ full flavor in light seasoned batter with mouthwatering ponzu mayo dip. Say whaaat? Wonderful with beer. We wanted to order one more if not for entree coming!
Fried Oysters ($??, APP, 3/5) - It was a special item, but unfortunately this was nothing special. Shouldn't have ordered, as it was prob to get rid of fresh oysters getting old (not on the menu). It wasn't like not fresh or anything but taste was just okay.
Nuroongji Dak ($45, ENTREE, 4/5) - This famous dish didn't disappoint! They lit it on fire for a show & added flame taste, and the dish was sizzling hot. Flavor was pretty good, though some parts of chicken wasn't seasoned through. But they give you 3 dipping sauces (honey mustard was my favorite!) for that so that's OK. This dish really felt like a treasure hunt for the 3 of us as we kept poking around and finding different ingredients. I wished that there was still a unifying sauce of some kind as meat felt a bit dry at times and variety of ingredients kinda floating on their own a bit. Maybe a splash of soya-butter? Nonetheless, this was really enjoyable to eat - we loved the cauliflower and the burnt rice (which we diligently scraped off the pan) on the bottom.
III. SERVICE (5/5) - Very attentive, on a Sunday evening blizzard night! Later they did get busy (it's like we brought the town here cuz adventurous and half-crazy people kept showing up in pairs through the blizzard to eat in. Was a bit funny)

I'm a fan of this place - especially for a drink w/ buddies I can't think of a more deserving place to go to in town atm than JJ Dak! I'll be back to try many other interesting menu items in the near future!

Parking: Free lot is tiny. Street parking galore but paid. Nearby mall parking (of other businesses) but they may ticket you during busy hours.“
