“Definitely give this place a try!! The food is really good and very consistent. Their pizza is up there with the best of them in the Philly area but I highly recommend trying their calzones and hoagies too. They also have gelato and desserts. I can tell they use high quality ingredients. Also when I go in there the owner is in the kitchen or walking around so you know it’s a family-owned and operated business where they actually care about service. Super clean inside and friendly staff. They also deliver pretty quickly in the area. 1000% recommend!“

“I do not live in Pennsauken , I was babysitting for my daughter. She mentioned doing a take out from Montegrillo. It was my first time eating their food . From the phone call ordering , to my last bite it was perfect ! We got the chicken fingers & fries which was huge amount , And couple cheese steaks & fries. I can't say enough good things about it ! I got a cheese steak hoagie it was absolutely delicious , it came very hot and not soggy at all to the very end ! What was pretty impressive were the fries ... I never got fries for take out that came hot and crispy and they were just delicious, and plenty ! My order came quicker than they said & delivery man was polite and friendly! I will be back ! I can not rate atmosphere it was a take out ,I never ate there !“

“First time going earlier. Ordered 3 cheesesteaks after seeing images on another page. These cheesesteaks are super heavy and packed with so much flavor. Of course on a seeded roll. This place has hit my top 5 and will be going back to try other things in the menu. Super well worth it and not as pricy as other places as well. Highly highly recommend this restaurant!!!!“

“Checked out The Victor Cafe founded in 1918, a little gem of an Italian restaurant in South Philly. All staff are also opera singers and perform an aria every 30 minutes. Also, this place was featured in Rocky Balboa and Creed as Adian's Restaurant. This place is definitely worth a visit. Recommend having a reservation.“

The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! “My wife, son, and I enjoyed an excellent dinner at Saloon to celebrate my 65th birthday. All of our dishes were delicious, especially the soft-shell crab appetizer. The cocktails were also nicely done. I enjoyed a Manhattan before dinner and a chocolate martini with dessert. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Saloon is one of our favorite restaurants in the city.“

“Came here on the weekend but in the middle of the afternoon to celebrate a birthday.... Nice clean restaurant, tables fairly close but still roomy enough.The servers did a great job and the food came out surprisingly fast, which was nice.
We thought that the casesar salads were excellent. The romaine was fresh and a nice dark green and the croutons were a great texture, not too hard.
The eggplant and ricotta sandwich was very good, especially the cheese which has a fantastic texture!..the only criticism being the roll could have been larger to fit in the contents of the sandwich. We were blown away by the Prov Pie (upside down) and thought it was one of the best pizzas we ever had (we're Philly natives and all over age 60, so that must say something!)“

“Came in from Denver and was craving some great Italian. They did not disappoint! Service was excellent. Food was amazing! Clams Casino and Meatballs appetizer set a high bar for the rest of the meal, and they nailed it. Seafood ala Scannichios and the NY strip longjohn were hugely portioned and delicious. Others in our party had the Shrimp Scampi, Chicken Parm and a few others- and they raved about them. Tiramisu and Bananas Foster were sublime. The owner Christian and his family really made us feel welcomed. We will definitely be back on future trips.“

“I’ve heard about Fiorino for so long, especially from someone who lives in Florida! I finally went and it was all they said it would be! Absolutely delicious! I asked our server what entree I should get because I couldn’t decide between 2 of them that I wanted. He said “No problem! I’ll bring you a half portion of each!” WHO does that in today’s world?! So absolutely kind and cool. I loved every single thing I had there and can’t wait to go back!“

“The homemade pasta is really excellent. The texture was perfectly toothsome. I got the cacio e pepperoncini (vegan option) and it was quite good, though the sauce wasn’t my favorite. It felt very oily and I’m not sure if that’s a product of veganizing the sauce. I loved the tangy spice of the pepperoncini though.

The shishito peppers were good, but fairly standard blistered peppers like I’ve had at many other restaurants. The almond / mint sauce was quite nice though.

The plates are generously portioned.

The setting, on the 8th floor of an old school building, is extremely cool and aesthetic and they styled the space beautifully with lots of plants. The view is wonderful. I went with a friend and we shared a “girl dinner” of four desserts followed by pasta. I keep thinking about the gelato I had, which was flavored with sweet cream and topped with a layer of honey and a mound of pistachios. The sweet and salty combination was amazing. Another standout was the orange olive oil torte with a bay leaf-infused cream. The lemon pasta was simple with a depth of flavor and strong umami. The bathroom also gets excellent lighting for selfies. Highly recommend.“

“I had dinner at La Sera the other day and was impressed. The appetizers were delicious--we had the calamari, cozze, and mushrooms. All were delicious, but the mushrooms were phenomenal. For entrees, our table had the ribeye, veal ripieno, spaghetti and meatballs, and ravioli rosa. Everyone loved their food.

And I must give a special shout out to Meritan. I realized the next day that I left my hat at the restaurant and I had already left for the airport to return to Florida. I connected with Meritan who I coordinated with to have it shipped to my house.

In all, La Sera offers delicious food and service from good people. I will certainly be back.“
