“Service was excellent. We ordered 4 appetizers at happy hour, 3 of the four were delicious, but the new recipe for the conch fritter was very disappointing. Lots of batter and not a lot of conch. On the first bite, I got so either that probable should have been removed while cleaning the conch.“

Stew chicken is 25$ and it’s not a huge container in my opinion to be charging that much.
I normally get the oxtail dinner, but my most recent time the oxtail was so small and that dinner alone is 30$ which is understood. But the cut should’ve been bigger . You can get a full bag of about 20 oxtail from Superfresh for the same price.
I will continue to support but the prices are alittle out of term.“

“I had heard from my son and a friend about this restaurant and decided to check it out, with a friend. I ordered the fried chicken wings, candied yams, collards and Mac & cheese. My friend had the rasta pasta and j*** chicken. everything was delicious. We will be returning to sample more dishes.“

“I was very excited when Golden Krust opened in Plainfield. My job is not even 3 minutes away! Prior to this, the closest one was in Union which is substantially further.

I was here opening week and have come and gone close to 10 times since then. The food is extremely consistent as is any Golden Krust and the portions are always excellent. The oxtail can be expensive but that just comes with the territory. As with any Jamaican food, you will find some bones in the meat, eat with caution and chew softly.

There's a drive through here, which I think is new to the franchise? A few times I've ordered through there and either I was left hanging at the speaker system for an extended period of time, or they've told me to come in.....which defeats the purpose of a drive through. Do they not like taking orders over the comm system?

Regardless, I've only gone inside since then. Perhaps they've straightened up the ordering system. It's not going to stop me from coming here though.

I'll be back many more times and I've brought a few coworkers on multiple occasion and I'm sure they'll be joining me as well.

“I love this small gem because the food is delicious! The oxtails is my go to order but I have also had the bbq and jerk chicken. The favors of everything here I have ordered is what you would expect from an authentic Jamaican restaurant. Only thing that could improve is the interior. This is definitely a take out place not an atmosphere that invites you to dine in.“

Well my favorite spots got shut down and I decided today was the day I’d finally order and it did not disappoint!!! I ordered the following : empanada de carne (beef), rellenos de papa (stuffed potato balls), a dessert guava and cheese empanada, the arroz con gandules (yellow rice and pigeon peas) with pernil (roasted pork) and the trifongo with pernil. This all hit the spot I was hoping it would! Also friendly staff. Whoever took my order over the phone was patient and nice. She told me it would be about an hour and food got here in less than that. Will def be ordering again!“
