“We were in town from Wisconsin to see Metallica. The day after the concert , we were looking for something good to eat and found Dumpling Dojo. Looking thru the menu , we knew we had to try. AMAZING!! We had one of the best meals we have had in a long time and my husband and I like to eat. We go to a lot of high ends places, but as I said , this place was extraordinary. The staff very friendly and helpful. We had the fried pork belly , tangerine beef , shrimp dumplings, fried shrimp and ramen noodle. And for desert , out of the world raspberry cheese cake wontons with whipped cream and fruit garnish. Nothing was too spicy but so flavorful. Again , you really need to try this place. Thank You !!“

“We throughly enjoyed our dinner tonight. There were 7 of us and they were so nice to accommodate us. We had 3 different appetizers 3 different ramens and 2 different rice bowls. Everyone loved everything. Highly recommend!“

“From all the hype and reels and videos about the place I expected a lot.
Ramen was good but a bit flat in flavors.
I ordered the combo set with added toppings but ended up getting the basic dish and only half way through the rest arrived.
The Macha desert was great.“

“it was a rainy, dark evening in new york, so ramen was definitely the vibe this day. i stumbled upon marufuku ramen, and let me tell you it did not disappoint. the ramen is really great. very flavorful broth, i literally almost finished that before the actual noodles and protein. i highly recommend getting the tori paitan ramen! it’s nice to have a break from tonkotsu ramen sometimes and the rich chicken flavor is amazing. highly recommend getting a beer or cocktail for your ramen too. also the karaage was great too! come check it out!“

“Cute neighborhood authentic ramen place! The line outside made us originally avoid going, but their efficient process moved everyone quickly without a long wait. Lively inside but you can still have a conversation. Service was genuine & friendly.“

“I went here for a first date and it was super quiet and cozy. The food came less than 10 minutes after we ordered nice and hot and it was so good. And the person who served us was really sweet. I’d definitely go back there. And I now have a girlfriend so to me it’s a good luck experience :)“

“Cute little spot right in the best area of Fort Lee with all the other goodies.
We tried 3 different types of ramen and the flavors were all so rich and concentrated, delicious. Eggs were perfectly cooked too, which is a must.
Tried yubu for the first time and was pleasantly shrouded surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
Crab croquettes tasted like crab fettuccine haha who wouldn't love that and the chicken karaage was nice and crispy. I'll definitely be back to bring my sister !“

“Tried both of the vegan ramen options and I thought both were good. Not amazing and a bit on the salty side but it's still a good filling bowl of ramen. And if you order the tempura ramen you get a big plate of veggie tempura on the side which for me was the best part!“

“Kayla was an excellent waitress. Literally saved my life when I tried to order a level 5 spice and she expertly suggested level 3. I went with her suggestion and it was perfect. Any higher and I would’ve had to miss work lol. 5 out of 5 on all fronts“

“Wow!! Best spicy tuna roll I’ve ever had, such natural and balanced spice, the tuna was so fresh and delicious. My husband got a poke bowl and raved about it, he can be pretty picky and he was filled up and we both felt great all afternoon thanks to our meals. We were in a rush so we took our food to go, it was ready right on time and the staff was attentive as soon as we stepped in the door, so kind, and had our order right there ready. I wish we had time to sit, and I’ll definitely be taking the time to really dig into the menu next time I’m in town. What a gem! :)“

“Ended up here accidentally on a layover: Hands down, the best ramen I’ve ever had (springy, slurpy perfection), amazing cocktails (if you like gin the Japanese 75 is a must try!), and whatever the whipped cream, creme brûlée’d banana dessert was tasted like heaven. I even ordered another tonkotsu ramen to go (all the way to Florida) to bring back to my fiancé. They separated all of it, packaged it so it wouldn’t leak, and wrote directions on specific timing for heating up each item! Very impressive service. I’ll be back again!“

“small ramen with big flavors. I enjoyed everything from the chill atmosphere to amazing food. the blend of Peruvian cuisine with traditional Japanese dishes is a match made in foodie heaven. I had the double fried wings and sloppy joe bao bun for a starter and each dish was better than the last. the wings were super crispy yet tender inside and the sloppy joe bao buns were a trip down memory lane. the sloppy brought me back to my childhood eating at a friend's house. for my ramen I had the tonkatu. their pork broth was hearty and tasteful and reminded me of my first bowl of real ramen. I highly recommend going there and finding out on your own...“

“I recently visited Susokino Financial District and tried the Susukino ramen, and it was delicious! The flavors were rich and well-balanced, making it a dish I’d happily order again. I’d definitely recommend it to others who appreciate a satisfying bowl of ramen. The overall price was reasonable, and the iced oolong tea was also fantastic — refreshing and a perfect match for the meal.“

“Incredible vegan ramen
There's only one vegan ramen on the menu but my non-vegan friend said it was the best thing on it and had serious order envy.
Don't be afraid of the three chilis, the spice level was very manageable“

“Visited here while solo travelling in New York a few months ago. I ended up making this my local evening eatery. The food was flavourful, the pork melted in your mouth and the broth for the ramen was so creamy. The prices are decent and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend this place and I can’t wait to visit again when I go back to New York.“

“I got a spicy mango shrimp and salmon avocado roll along with miso soup. It was a lunch special for $11.95. There were 12 pieces. Clean inside and there’s limited seating area. Friendly service and it’s a small family business. Definitely check them out.“

“I got the basic Ramen and it was great! Next time I will add the extras. It was our first time so we didn’t know what to expect. Great texture and the broth was rich. Absolutely amazing! All I knew was that a friend said it was one of the most authentic places he has been to and he recommended that I try it while in New York! Not disappointed at all!!“

“Is it ethical to charge customers like $30 for a ramen? And to charge extra for SUPER basic things like nori? No, it is not even authentic. And yet I come again and again (and bike the 40 minute journey) because the ramen here is just THAT good. It’s obviously the broth mainly but this is the only place in nyc where I feel like the noodles are cooked just right. Sushi is also good and I’ve personally always enjoyed the desserts as well (although I think this is their weakest department).“

“Good day, we were greeted upon entry and initially planned on dining in. The cashier was pleasant to me. She was also seemingly ok with me expressing it being my first time and the Inquiries I made. We decided to eat in the vehicle due to parking meter. I stayed in the vehicle while my friend went inside to pick up our order. Upon returning, I was informed that the same cashier was rude about us changing our order to go. Anyways the vegetable ramen bowl was great but my friend was not pleased with the shrimp teriyaki bowl.
Vegetarian options: I loved how fresh my mushrooms were in my bowl. There were also other options on the menu.
Dietary restrictions: Claims there is no cross contamination with any food allergies.
Parking: After 7pm there is more free street parking.“

“Randomly found this place when I was in the area. Was craving soba and missing our Japan trip.

“Overall: Would recommend, Would revisit. 9/10
1. Very nice appetizers with fairly priced ramen for the portion.
2. The staff was hospitable the environment was enjoyable.
First of all, the environment was very clean, atmosphere was very nice, quiet but you can still talk, the staff was very hospitable and welcoming.
Second, appetizers was great, the karaage was insanely juicy and tender, prob one of the best karaage i’ve ever had, would recommend, the chicken skin was crispy and flavorful also very nice, the takoyaki was a bit too sourly on first bite due to the amount of sauce on it but besides that it was a pleasing osaka style takoyaki.
Third, the jiro style ramen was nice, me and my friend had the tonkatsu chashu ramen, very flavorful especially with the chilli, can taste a bit salty after some bites but overall was a pleasing ramen, also the portion was HUGE you thought you’re almost finished but there’re still plenty inside the sound, the tonkatsu chashu tsukemen was also decent but it was even more salty than the ramen, so I’ll personally only get the ramen next time.

“I will preface this review by saying I typically never review restaurants on google / yelp whether for good or bad purposes - I'm going out of my way for Sakai Ramen because of how amazing of an experience I had.
1. The food truly shocked me being surrounded by Chili's, Cava, and other chains; the N1 ramen spicy is phenomenal and I will be visiting Secaucus to order again.
2. The portions are amazing - typical NYC ramen restaurants I leave still hungry. That is not the case with this establishment.
3. My waitress Emma was extremely helpful, welcoming, and nice to talk to. Pointed me in all the right directions on the menu for someone who is inexperienced with ramen.
For those reasons, I'm happy to right this positive review for Sakai Ramen and highly encourage anyone looking for a restaurant in the plaza area to 100% go. Excited for my next visit!“
