“Tried this new cafe on my way home. They have parking which is great since they are on a main road. The inside is super cute and def picture worthy. Service was good. Greeted upon entering and then made a great recommendation when I asked for one. I got the coconut latte and it was so good. If you like coconut this one is it for you! Sweet yet strong. Great value for the price especially in today’s economy. Will be coming back in the future to try other items. I also love that God is in their decor.“

“I was actually pleasantly surprised at how good the food was from here, first time ever trying it after getting my nails done next door and it was yummyyy, we got the nachos and my daughter and niece had gotten chicken tenders with fries, everything was delicious, can’t wait to go back again. Seating kind of sucks but ehh overall good place to grab a quick meal“

“The food here was excellent. I got the Pad Thai and it was one of the best I've ever had. Their appetizers are all very good. I'd highly recommend going here on a date or family dinner. Menu is a little pricy but worth it.“

“EXTRA! EXTRA! READ ALL ABOUT IT!!!
Holy Schlitz! This is the best pastrami I've ever tasted including Katz's, Carnegie Deli (70s-90s), & Harold's of Raritan (80s-2010s)! If you've not gone, GO!!! I won't steer you wrong. It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95. Tax is 6.625%. I paid cash but they do take cc. Just GO!“

“What a quaint little coffee shop! I was gonna grab my coffee to go but I just had to enjoy the street view from the swing. The coffee was really good as well. I gotta go back and try the other flavors! Nicole was very friendly and helpful, I'm so glad they pointed out the swing to me. I'll definitely be coming back next time I'm in NYC!“

“Pops Pizza is a true gem! The service is fast and friendly, and you can tell they really care about their customers. The pizza is outstanding, fresh, flavorful, and made with quality ingredients. I tried the mushroom spinach slice, and it was absolutely amazing. Perfectly balanced, cheesy, and full of flavor. Easily one of the best slices I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious pizza done right!“

“The biryani was delicious! I ordered the dum biryani, and the portion was perfect for one person. The place is quite small and a bit cramped, and there’s no wash basin available, so you’ll need to use wet wipes. Despite that, the food and service were really good overall.“

“This is a wonderful tapas bar! Easy to get to. We stopped at Bonsaii for lunch. The menu is delightful, our server, Laura, was very attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered items based on her recommendations, I'm glad we did! Delicious choices!! Beef empanadas, a flatbread, and a shrimp dish with toast points. We will definitely return! Quaint spot.“

“Couldn't have picked a better place to dine in Midtown. The staff/management were welcoming from the start (our waiter in particular could not have been more personable and accommodating), the food and drinks were delicious, and to top it all off, they gave my daughter a surprise birthday celebration for the ages — complete with a robot to deliver the churros donned with sparklers and singing that engaged the whole restaurant! Thank you, Carla; we'll be back!“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Wonderful peaceful atmosphere. Comfy seating with nooks to plug in and work. Locally authored books in the shelves. The chai has a perfect balance of herbs and spices and is not too sweet. Also had an amazing empanada and a freshly baked-on-premises cookie. Love the local focus of this cafe. Will come back again to try the fresh leaf teas and the other empanadas.“

“Had a lovely breakfast indoors with our dear friends. We selected this restaurant because their is ample space between tables which is a rarity These days at the majority of the restaurants in New York City. Finally, what made our brunch very pleasant was the wonderful service we received from our waiter Nahid . Thank you Nahid. We look forward to returning soon.“

“Stop the presses!! I found a great new restaurant where artistry trumps slinging hash. It’s Pop Empanada, re-christened Pop Pasta Supper Club on Thursdays and Saturday nights. On those days, Chef Nicolas Pescatore prepares a 6 course meal, and even if you don’t like every course, you will appreciate the artistry and the ambition. Tonight, the courses were 1. celery avocado salad (replacing salmon, which this landlubber doesn’t like), 2. shrimp empanada in a butter curry sauce, 3. pork belly confit, 4. raviolo-soft boiled egg center in a brown butter sage sauce, 5. brisket ragu paccheri pasta, and 6. dessert of frangelica panna cotta key lime shortbread crumble. The cost with tip is around $100 per person plus the cost of your BYOB. We wouldn’t pay that cost often, but it’s a welcome break from the restaurants where kitchen staff show up at 4 PM and are ready to serve at 5pm.“

“Stopped in for a drink and to try out the red sauce at Cotta. We love that the portions are reasonable here and they have small plates as well. We had an excellent IPA from Vermont and a mule. Then shared a bowl of the best bolongese with fresh ricotta. Amazing red sauce here.“

“We stopped into Omakase Shihou (also referred to as Omakase Shiro) for their lunch omakase, tucked away on the second floor of Tenzan, a Japanese restaurant. The intimate space, clad in light wood, sets the perfect tone for a relaxed and refined experience.
The lunch omakase is an incredible value at just $49, including an appetizer, nine pieces of sushi, miso soup, and dessert. We opted to elevate the experience with the $25 add-on, which featured an oyster shooter, A5 wagyu, and a toro hand roll. Each of us also enjoyed a glass of sake for $18. While the base omakase alone is a treat—beautifully presented and absolutely delicious—the add-on is highly recommended.
Every piece of sushi was fresh, artfully prepared, and included a few delightful surprises. The ikura, which I don’t typically enjoy, was so exceptional I ordered an extra—truly a testament to the quality. No spoilers here—you’ll want to experience it for yourself.
The meal concluded with a comforting akamiso soup and a refreshing matcha mochi dessert topped with arare, a perfectly balanced finish to a memorable lunch. It was a wonderful prelude to an afternoon at The Met.
We’d absolutely return to Omakase Shiro—excellent service, serene ambiance, and exceptional food from start to finish.“
