“In my experience, this is the best Indian restaurant hands-down journal Square. I recently moved to Harrison and I will still come to journal Square to get Indian food from here. I don’t know what it is but their chicken is the best almost every dish is just amazing. I haven’t tried every dish, so can’t really comment on every single one, but I’ve never been disappointed. I’ve dined in and have taken out. The quality is so good here I swear lol“

I made a pickup order of Hyderabadi Goat Dum biryani through Grubhub and cost me $21.77 including tax. It was $19.99 before tax.

It was my first time since this business moved their location. Great flavor still. I did not have time to look around its interior but it was clearly larger than their last location which felt like a basement.“

“After eating so much (pizza etc )we needed to eat something different, spicy and booked this gem,as it as near to our hotel. It was also our 40th wedding anniversary. We are from U.K. This was amazing perfectly cooked tasty home made authentic Indian cuisine. We had mocktails ( lavender was refreshing ). The tandoori lamb chops x4 were full meat seasoned beautifully and delicious. All other sides perfect too. Now in U.K. we hate restaurant Indian puddings they are usually bought in and awful/failure. After finding out the chef is the owner and a recipient Michelin star we were convinced to stay,try and this was the first time we have had authentic home made puddings; try Kulfi with rose water & also Indian rice pudding. The whole meal was exceptional great value and we will recommend this restaurant to anyone else visiting New York. Easy to find off Times Square /Broadway. Thanks for the rendition “ congratulations “ for our 40th. You are great ! A little gem of authenticity in big New York !“

“Had an amazing dinner at Junoon! The atmosphere is elegant and cozy. The staff was friendly and knew the menu well. Every dish was full of rich, authentic flavors, and the presentation was beautiful. Loved the creative desserts too. Definitely a top spot for Indian fine dining in NYC!“

“Went here on a recent trip and had a good time. The Sharabi chicken tikka and ajwaini prawns were amazing and set the expectations really high for the main course. Sadly the Butter Chicken and Aloo Gobhi kofta were quite mid. I have had better at other regular non descript spots. Also ordered the Dal Makhani which was really good. Would definitely go back for the cocktails and appetizers but would skip the main course next time around.“

“We were seeing a Broadway show nearby this place. Wife and I wanted Indian food and Googled. This restaurant got great reviews and decided on this joint. Our hotel was about 1.5 miles and decided to walk it to work an appetite, it was well worth it. We ordered Chicken Biryani and Goat Vindaloo, my go to dish for rating Indian restaurants. We also ordered a Fried Sweet Potato Appetizer, Buttered Naan and Mango Lassis. Food tasted delicious and authentic. Good portions, Staff was attentive and accommodating, we packed and left our leftovers and picked it up after the show.“

“I loved everything about this restaurant. The food, the vibe, the decor, the service! I also loved that the crowd was one of the most diverse mixes of people I have ever seen in NYC. Order samosas, they are not on the menu but they have them if you ask. The tamarind sauce is through-the-roof delicious. The egglant appetizer is also delicious. We took home what we didn't eat and it's just as good the next day. I can't wait to go back.“

They also gave us this sauce flight and crispy cracker situation before the meal that was so increadible (not pictured, we devoured, phone could not eat first. Oops).
