“Very nice anniversary evening at the inn. We had not been there in many years. There have been a few different owners in the recent past but it still feels familiar. Different but familiar which I think is great. My friend is running the place now and seems to have put together a great team and some very nice dishes. Just last week we were texting about the inn and the menu and I mentioned the famous tomato bisque that the inn used to serve. Well not even 10 days later it’s back in the menu, which I think will be a welcome surprise to the local crowd. We are looking forward to returning.“

“We’ve been enjoying de floret for a few years now and realized we’ve been completely remiss in writing a review — partly because we selfishly don’t want it getting so popular that we can’t get a reservation!

From the moment you walk in, you get that warm, small family-owned restaurant feel that’s become so rare these days. The owner always makes us feel genuinely welcome and consistently offers fantastic recommendations that never disappoint.

And then there’s the food — the real star of the show. The farm-to-table menu is always fresh, creative, and thoughtfully executed. What keeps us coming back is how they constantly offer something innovative or put their own unique spin on classic dishes. Every meal feels special without ever feeling pretentious.

“The staff are all kind, helpful, accommodating, and genuinely there to make your evening perfect. Chris the hostess was wonderful, as well as the many servers who all willingly supported Gary, the owner, to provide the best service and culinary experience possible for his dinner guests. The menu is one of the best we have seen in the area with many international dishes, some with the labor intensive Indian nuances, and others just with downright phenomenal flavors. Although they have lots of standard fare for the UNadventurous eater, I would suggest you reach past your comfort zone and try some of the appetizers that jump out as potential winners...like the tuna tartare that with just a splash of Japanese Rice wine vinegar would be one of the best I have ever had, as well as the grilled Tandoori shrimp that is marinated in yogurt, ginger, cloves nutmeg, and dried mango; the grilled lamp chops that come with three perfectly grilled meaty garlicky chops that come with mango chutney, and the Haryali chicken Tikka- three huge plump boneless breast of chicken slices that are marinated in mint, yogurt, roasted cloves, green cardamom and star anise, and served with their famous tiger sauce and salsa. We also shared another marinated shredded beef dish special that had three beef croquette-shaped mounds that had such a umami of flavors I can't even replicate it in this review, but we thought it was just great. I would be remiss if I did not mention the creamy, silky crème brûlée that we enjoyed with a glass of Prosecco; a perfect encore to the phenomenal culinary treat we had just experienced with the appetizer medley. Sharing many apps is more fun we think, than committing to one big entree, so we suggest that you dash over to the Pittstown Inn TONIGHT, and tell them Debbie and Gene sent you....ask to meet Gary, the owner, who elegantly floats from table to table, touching each to greet them and to check later on as well to see if everything was to their liking. A true host from days gone by, this owner is the real deal whose passion for the hospitality business emulates from his constant smile from the joy he is getting from making his guests happy. You see that what fuels this man to keep opening his doors from year to year, despite the many hardships and setbacks life has dealt us all over and over, is his love for you, his loyal customer. He is a rare find, so I suggest you go and treat yourself to the real deal in dining. You will not be disappointed, and be sure to ask to meet Gary. He will make your visit complete. “If we could give 10 stars we would! Where to start? As you enter the restaurant you are greeted by beautiful architecture. We were greeted by Noel and she gave us a short introduction to the property. Sitting downstairs near the fireplace was romantic, although it was warm outside! Starting with a complimentary appetizer to open our palette, created especially by the chef. The appetizer my wife had was the tuna tartare, the best she has ever had. Mine was the garden salad and the presentation with pineapple was delicious. Moving on to the main course I had the 30 day dry aged ribeye with a chefs presentation of French fries…I really didn’t need a knife to cut the steak, perfect temperature as ordered. The wife enjoyed cod with black rice. Superb! Unfortunately we were so full from dinner that we did not have room for dessert. Once we left our table we explored the building and the beautiful grounds.
Mario, the owner was circulating through the restaurant and greeted all the patrons. We can not recommend this restaurant and B&B more!! This is definitely our new favorite place!“

“When you find a place that makes you forget everything else, provides a terrific meal with great employees, you have really found gold. Top that with the upper management being supportive and reactive if you need to speak with them and you want to share that with anyone who wants to listen. The leadership addressed an issue with the kind of response that I have not seen in many years. It was refreshing, to say the least. You won't go wrong. “Driven by the place a few times and stopped for dinner based upon a recommendation. It is located on Rt 413 at the intersection with Rt 202. Their menu has enough variety for nearly everyone and the portions were very large. The prices were reasonable and they also have both an early bird special plus a daily dinner special that is very good and inexpensive. The wait staff was really very friendly and helpful. Nothing fancy about the place, it has an old school feel to it. There are a lot of seats at the bar plus some booths and tables. We would definitely go here again.“

I will say as someone who often comes to peddlars village, of you come on the weekend, especially during a special event weekend, this place is usually packed.
