“I absolutely love this restaurant. We came to visit my Aunt and Uncle and they took my mom and I here. They are regular visitors here, I am guessing. The food was absolutely amazing. The service was so personable and they really make you feel at home.
The bread is fresh made and was so light. It melted in your mouth. They had mussels as an appetizer. I don't care for them. I have not had a salad like they serve here. It was very good and looked appetizing. The taste of the salad dressing and salad made my taste buds pop. My mom had the veal marmalade. My aunt had the osso bucco. My uncle had the swordfish with risotto and a side of spinach, which shared with him. I had the lasagna and it was to die for!! The food was amazing and well worth the wait to have it. I had the best meal I have had in a long time. This, to me, was the best and trueest Italian restaurant I have ever been to.
If I could give you infinity amount of stars🌟 you would have them in my book.
Thank you so very much for an amazing meal and time to spend with my aunt and uncle, who I have not seen in 20+ years.

“The roast beef sandwich was great! I ordered onion rings it was great too just a bit overpriced for 5 onion rings. The lady seemed a bit moody but I won't rate your business off of a worker I'll rate it base off the quality of food. Everyone is going through stuff so don't want the business to get a bad rating because of someone who works there. Will return!“

“Great Italian food and a decent menu, not much choice but not too much. It's located next to Post Office 34 and is very trendy. “Best vegan pizza in NYC. I could have sworn I reviewed Double Zero before and now I’m wondering if the review disappeared because it was for their old location. They moved (on the same block I think?) into a place that looks a little tighter inside but had an outdoor seating.

Came with a party of 3 and sat inside for a quiet Saturday night dinner—interior seating was maybe half full and exterior seating was packed.

Warning interior didn’t have AC running.

Got two pizzas and jackfruit tacos

Jackfruit tacos: Good but lacked a sauce or spice that left it getting drowned out by the much more flavorful pizzas

Truffle cashew cream pizza: Excellent. Third time getting it and every time it’s been a hit. Flavorful spread of mushrooms on cashew cheese

Spicy Pepperoni Pizza: Pepperonis themselves quite good on a tomato, basil, cheese base. Note the pepperonis have coconut in them in case you’re allergic.

Also got two cocktails and a mocktail, but nothing to report there. My Moscow mule was largely ice.

Unfortunately, the owner is apparently a terrible person according to the April 22, 2024 NYTimes article, but the food is good especially for vegans.“

In late 2024, I became a regular. Yes, the selection of wine is expert, you might be surprised by a fine selection from Alto Adige, which is the chef’s homeland. “Bit of a mixed bag here. The room is cool, chill vibes, good music and lighting and professional, friendly service. We had the “surprise” 6 course tasting menu. There was definitely a problem in the kitchen because there were some extremely long delays between courses, our meal took 2 1/2 hours.
We started with the complimentary focaccia, delicious and we went for the ricotta upcharge, $10 for 2 tablespoons of ricotta. Not sure the value proposition was there.

Flavors were generally on point, the eggplant with some charred greens was OK but didn’t love it. Favorite dish was the crab agnolotti, scrumptious.

The bucatini served before that was perfectly cooked, but was excessively salty, apparently because of the capers as we mentioned the issue to the server. However, it definitely tasted like someone slipped with the salt shaker. Our main was a kind of disappointing plate of mini meatballs in a sweet and savory sauce. Interesting but for $129 menu maybe we expected more than mini meatballs.

Dessert was a scoop of peach and Prosecco sorbet, refreshing, but a little bit underwhelming for dessert on a tasting menu. I guess as I am writing this I kind of wanted to like it more than I actually ended up liking it.“

“I am so bored of red sauce Italian-American food! I longed for a restaurant with interesting, delicious pasta dishes and found San Carlo. We had a salad and three different pastas, and each dish was thoughtful and balanced. Went back twice in one week for the spaghettone with anchovies. My boyfriend and I shared: Appetizers: -Seared scallops: I know right, scallops. Generic usually? But these were in an amazing sauce which was devoured with our side of bread. -Octopus carpaccio: Perfect amount of freshness to balance the rich scallops. Main: -The wood fired fish for two: they brought the fish out from the kitchen to show us the fish in flames and that was very cute and appreciated -Meatless Rigatoni: I seriously held on to this dish to the very last moments even though I didn’t have enough room to finish it lol I was obsessed with the sauce Dessert: - Panna Cotta: the balsamic reduction was something I did not expect with this dessert but it was magical“

I had the white sauce and my partner had the red sauce. The dish came with abundant amounts of seafood, including mussels, shrimp, calamari and more. The risotto was perfect and the flavors were a delight to the palate! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We look forward to coming back!“
