“We ordered for the first time tonight from Sammy, former proprietor of JuJu’s Bagels now transformed into El Toum. We ordered 4 items and they were ready for pickup in less than 25 minutes. The Mixed Kebab platter, Kofta Burger with fries, Falafel Sandwich with extra tahini sauce, and El Toum Appetizer were refreshingly homemade, tasted delicious, and proved outstanding bangs for the buck. More than enough food for a family of four with leftovers. This is a very welcome addition to a neighborhood missing this kind of fare. I highly recommend supporting this local business. Finally, we have a Mediterranean place close to home. You have to come try this place and by the way they have an outdoor in the back where you can have hookah for those who are interested.“

“Been to Levant a couple of times now and I feel i’m ready to share my experience. First time I ordered a sausage feteer to go. It was still perfectly crispy when I got it home. I like the square bottom bag and the octagonal box the feteer comes in. Today, I was in the mood for a wrap. I ordered the beef shawarma. They toasted the wrap - nice and hot on a giant panini press. It was so juicy I didn’t need the special Levant sauce. Then I thought let me dig the wrap in the sauce and wow. Tasted even better. Will be back to sample their meat pies next!“

“I just found this gem in Harlem and let me say I am thoroughly impressed. First, the Yemeni tea is extremely good. No need to add anything. Secondly, the amount of food that you get for money is a great deal. I had #21 Aqdat Dajaj (Curry Chicken) w/Basmati Rice and a side of Naan bread (it was huge). You also receive soup and a mini salad before the actual entree. I left there stuffed and satisfied. The space is very quaint and somewhat intimate. It’s a must try!! And it’s Halal!!!

Vegetarian options: There are about 13 vegetarian dishes to choose from.“

“Truly the best falafel — I’ve been supporting this spot since I was a child and they were a cart in front of the C-Town on Broadway (RIP). Since their spot opened, I regularly pickup or dine in with loved ones. The hot sauce is deliciously spicy, the chicken is always grilled to perfection, the rice pudding is a perfect end to the meal, and the salad+hummus combo is my absolute favorite. Also, as someone with Celiac Disease, it’s been great to have this reliably gluten free delight in my neighborhood. It’s such a wonderful place and I’m so grateful they exist, what a journey it’s been over the years! FIVE STARS! after having Tawook Chicken or Lamb Kabob for dinner I like to take home some Mouhamara and some hummus, especially on a Friday, for snacking. Balade helps get me through the weekend. 😄 I'm sharing a pic of some of Balade's fresh, delicious, Mouhamara on a diced up baked red potato. I had this at home this morning. “This is my second visit, and the standard remains impressively consistent. This time, I ordered the Lamb burger, Lamb Skewers and Beef Shawarma. The lamb had no unpleasant odor, and what I particularly loved was the Premium Basmati Rice. I find myself questioning how they cook it to achieve such a fluffy texture—it feels like eating a cloud!

The Lava Chicken and Lamb come wrapped in thin, crispy flatbreads infused with aromatic spices and herbs, paired perfectly with their sauce. It’s simply irresistible!

If I were to recommend something, I’d suggest ordering takeout on weekends for gatherings at home. This restaurant is truly outstanding, earning a solid 10/10 rating!“
