“I was craving some classic New York-style Halal Guys cart food for dinner on a weekday night, and a quick Google search led me to this gem in Hoboken. The reviews were glowing—and after trying it myself, I can say they were absolutely spot on.

There was already a small line (3–4 people) when I got there, which was a good sign. I went for the classic: meat over rice. The beef steak was thinly sliced, perfectly grilled, and packed with smoky, bold flavors. The yellow rice was aromatic and tasty, pairing beautifully with the meat. Another highlight was the freshness of the salad on the side—crisp lettuce, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes—all super fresh and refreshing. Overall, the portion size was huge. I couldn’t even finish it in one sitting.

Overall, this place checks all the boxes: affordable, fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area. Highly recommend!“

“Clean and well organized business. The girl at the front is friendly and good at her job. The best Philly Cheesesteak! I have also tried the Chicky Fries combo and that was excellent. “THIS PLACE IS AWESOME !!!! I came from Canada and wanted to try something other than Halal Guys. This place blows them out of the water. Ordered:

1) Chicken Platter - AWESOME !!!! Portion was good and flavor was sooooooo good

2) Philly Cheese Steak - OMG !!!! The hero/sub was sooo good that it is a "must have"

3) Mixed Gyro - ALHUMDULLIAH !!!! The Sandwich / Pita was so packed that it took time to eat and I enjoyed every bite.

4) The Big Ash Chicken - MASHALLAH !!! The taste was sooo good that I wish I had more.

Anyone that follows me, this place has to be on your list of MUST TRY.

“My husband and I went to Forefeathers tonight for dinner, it was excellent. The chicken tenders were delicious, the pink dipping sauce was very good. The chicken sandwich that my husband had to amazing! Coleslaw was delicious, plenty of sauce and pickles. Fries were excellent….definitely will go back.“

I let that be known to the restaurant and received a small refund. Next night, I ordered dinner again and I received a large order of fries on the house as well as a discount card for 5% for dine in orders valid for one more week. Amazing customer service. “I ordered takeout from Kulchay recently and had a positive experience. The woman working there was incredibly friendly and helpful while I waited. I tried their signature naanizza which is a fusion of naan and pizza. Both the chicken tikka and super supreme naanizzas were delicious. Even though I got stuck in traffic and had to reheat them at home, they still tasted great although I imagine they would be even better fresh out of the oven. I also tried the halwa naan for dessert which was decent but not something I would order again. All the food here is halal and I definitely plan to come back to try more items from their menu.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​“

“This was my first time trying Dave’s Hot Chicken, and it definitely did not disappoint! I had the Dave’s #2 with medium spice, which was absolutely perfect. I’ve never had a chicken sandwich this good—huge compliments to the chefs!

As a pickle fan, I really appreciated the extra pickles—such a great touch. If Dave’s were to expand to more countries in Europe, I have no doubt it would be a huge success.

The only downside was that the location felt a bit messy and unclean, but given that it was during rush hour and it's a fast-food spot, it wasn’t a big deal. Overall, a fantastic experience—highly recommended!“

“We went to River Edge branch on Friday night - the music and atmosphere are great.Restaurant is beautiful. They have very good singer/DJ, people were dancing till very late. Food is good too - we ordered lamb shish kebab, fried potatoes, stuffed mushrooms, samsa, some salads - everything was delicious. Highly recommended.“

Also he provides a a loyalty card that gets you a free meal after 10 purchases. If you like spicy I recommend the green sauce and red sauce.“

“I’ve tried over a dozen Halal carts in the city, and this one has by far the best chicken over rice. Once you try it, you’ll go out of your way to come here every time you crave halal.

The chicken is juicy and always perfectly flavored and cooked. All ingredients are fresh. The sauces are great, and the red sauce is VERY spicy (love it)

The folks running it are super friendly and the cart is kept clean.

I been getting his lamb over rice and lamb gyro since I was a kid and no where else has come close. “Finally some good halal in midtown east! I got the chicken over rice with extra white sauce, it was really hearty and delicious. The chickpeas are a nice touch. Very reasonably priced for the area ($9 as of 7/3/24) and they take Apple Pay which is convenient. Definitely adding this to my office lunch rotation!“
