“I was greeted with a warm welcome and smile. I ordered paratha roti, dhalpourie roti, doubles and Trini chinese. Everything was delicious and very authentic. The owner is super friendly and welcoming!

“Was walking by and saw A&J Caribbean Taste. I just had to go in and see what they had. It was like home! They had a wide range of food and I was so excited I asked for a sample of it all lol. DELICIOUS. Further, it was super generous of the server to accommodate my request. My favorite was the oxtail though all dishes were delicious. If you're missing GOOOOD Caribbean food and want a variety - and not have to wait for food preparation - this is a must visit. Compliments to the chef. This will now be one of my go-to spots whenever I come to my Newark Office.“

“I'm so glad i found this place. The food was everything I wanted it to be and more. Original and fresh carribbean food. Oxtails were amazing. The owner and staff are all soo kind and gracious. If you call and don't get an answer right away, no worries, they will ring you back. I'm definitely making this my go to spot.“

“Always drove past this place and wondered what it would be like. Finally stopped by today and they did not disappoint! The oxtail patty is a 10/10, would definitely recommend! Overall, the oxtail, reg and bbq jerk chicken patties are all worth stopping for.“

“Stopped by during the Rahway Arts Festival. Fantastic food!!! Fresh, flavorful and delicious! I had the fried fish and my daughter had the curry chicken empanadas. She later went back to get the Jerk Chicken empanadas. Highly recommend!“

“My kids had an international night at school. I had no time to cook so I ordered catering from Caribbean Touch. International night came and was the food was delicious! When I went to pick up the food, the oxtails were not quite ready, though everything else in my order was good to go. They later brought the oxtail to the school for me. When the oxtail arrived it was per-fection, the meat was tender and dropping off the bone. The oxtail was well worth the wait. Those who stopped by my table raved about the food and I plugged Caribbean Touch the entire time. Fantastic job!“

“They make real jerk chicken! ON THE GRILL! Tasted it with one meal and I bought more to take home so my family know it’s the real deal… definitely coming back and often 😇 additionally! They have 2 very friendly cashiers/servers which is usually hard to find. Met the owner and he also seems to be a nice guy… I don’t write reviews often unless I received bad service but today it is the opposite! People nice and food nicer! 🥰“

“I am giving the soul food experience here a 5 out of 5. Or a 12 out of 10. Each platter is Huge- enough to feed 2 people!!!! I ordered the fried Whiting with potato salad and candy Ames. It came with 4 to 5 pieces of fish, 2 pieces of bread, generous sides and cornbread. It was delicious!!. I would not recommend the curry chicken if you are looking for a true, jamaican curry period that curry here was dark and thick, like other caribbean islands, possibly trinidad, make it, and that's not what we like. You definitely want to order in.advance.. as each order is made fresh- IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!... there is no seating or indoor dining. Straight take out.“

“We've had the pleasure of eating many dishes from Jerkies, and everything has been delightful. Standout traditional dishes include the jerk chicken and curry goat. Don't sleep on their vegetarian options either-- the jerk mushroom sliders, jerk cauliflower, and collards and cabbage were all delicious as well. Did I mention the peach cobbler? To top it all off, the team operating this restaurant is top-notch, the kind of people and business you want to support.“

“I visited Sashey's for the first time on April 23 and I must say the food I ordered (curry goat with rice and peas and a brown stew fish) was excellent! In addition, the customer service was on point. I definitely will return again. Take my word, if you want good, authentic Jamaican food, Sashey's is the place.“

“Came in around 8pm after worked, tired from work, didn’t want to travel for my normal place I go for my west Indian food , I find this little gem and ordered to my dietary standards, got curry goat and all veggies and food was fresh tasting and very well seasoned and tender, was a bit surprised as I don’t like trying new places , definitely will be back to try different menu options, service is great and a welcoming atmosphere.. Highly recommended“

“First of all (Doing my happy dance-while eating) it doesn’t make no sense how ON POINT my food is right now. Grant it this is my first time eating at this restaurant (at work and needed something to eat and it was across the street) but this cabbage and carrots (has a light sweet-spice) taste like gold. Rice and peas are cooked to purrrrrrfection!!!!!! Lets talk about the Curry Chicken ? (BABY) I normally do not eat curry chicken because it’s messy and it never speaks to my stomach and soul but FINALLY “I’M IN L❤️VE.” New customer for the life of your store front (Right here).
