“This classic Chinatown bakery has such a nostalgic, no-frills atmosphere with the smell of fresh buns and pastries filling the air. The egg tarts were flaky with silky custard, the pork buns were juicy and hot, and the milk tea was strong and sweet. Staff was efficient and friendly. Total around $12-18 per person. An absolute gem for affordable Chinese pastries and coffee!“

“OMG...this IS the best sponge cake you'll have in NYC. I've had my fair share looking for one that compares to the original Kam Hing. The owner apprenticed with the original Kam Hing owner and finally opened his own cafe! Can't go wrong with the original flavor but the pandan coconut is sooooo goood! it's my new fav! This is my new go to place for sponge cakes!“

“Out of the several places I had eaten at in the city, this was easily the best. The young lady at the counter was extremely welcoming and kind. I was able to try the the dirty horchata, strawberry match and jelly bomboloni. All three were incredible. The bombolini was easily the best pastry I had in NY. I cannot recommend this place enough! If the staff/owner sees this, thank you very much for your hospitality and the great experience!“

“This is some of the best food around, full stop – and it just happens to be veg friendly. But beyond that, this is a very special establishment. It’s the kind of place where every single part of the experience reflects care and intention – from the menu, to the decor, down to the cutlery. The vibe is casual, and the folks working there are welcoming and make you feel taken care of. The cumulative experience makes for a level of hospitality that many more formal restaurants in the city have lost. I hope this place is around for many years to come.“

Stopped in for one of those pineapple and pork buns that I heard about in Chinatown and it did not disappoint. The shop was small but had a lot to offer for sure plenty of fresh baked goods, amazing cheap pricing and a homely feel to the place. The bun was way better than I expected lil sweet and savory and filled well. Stop by if your waiting in line next door for sure“

“I stop by this beautiful coffee shop where I’m able to sit with my pet, and I ca tell… the food is elegant presented, the coffee amazing and I took the chance to try the matcha absolutely recommended! Adding that is difficult to find a place where I can share time with my pet sitting down!!!“

“Wish Upon a Pastry is a great Disney Inspired bakery in NJ. Michele and Torre, the owners are so nice and great to work with. They have really unique baked goods that are all absolutely delicious. They also take special orders. They are not dedicated gluten free but they offer a lot of gluten free options that are just as delicious as their other bakery items. I highly recommend this business.“

“The BEC breakfast croissandwich exceeded my expectations! The croissant was SO buttery, the egg tender, and a great ratio of bacon and cheese. “Came in Friday afternoon looking for a quick coffee fix. It was around lunch time so most tables were taken, but since I was only ordering coffee I just grabbed a wall seat by the front. You order at the counter and then find a seat that’s open. I tried the maple cardamom latte and thought it was pretty good. It had a good hint of sweetness without being too overpowering. I haven’t tried any food items form them but would be open to in the future.“

“After gastric bypass, I thought my days of enjoying cookies were over. Cue the protein bakery— I get my favorite treat back without the guilt!!! The cookies are so good, the protein makes me feel full and not interested in binging, and did I mention they are soooo good?! They are a God send, I live in RI and order them online, they come in 2 days tops. Can’t wait to come visit in NYC soon!!“

“We went directly here after eating at the Cafe because I had my heart set on an onion bagel, and possibly a garlic bagel. The Cafe didn't have either option but I needed them in my life. So we walked over right after. Super cute small spot. Beautiful smoked fish in the cases, amazing cream cheese options. I so wanted the caviar cream cheese, but we just ate and we were gonna be walking around for a few hours. So I got 2 onion and 2 garlic bagels. They thought we was nuts not wanting anything done with them. Like I said I just needed them gonna enjoy it tomorrow morning as our Great American Road Trip continues to Boston. Personally next time.. I'd go to this original location, more variety, of bagels and cream cheese, but no seating. So pick what works for you but definitely Go! 100% recommend.“

“Staff is outstanding. i've been coming here for years. They're frozen dumplings are delicious. They're tofu is outrageous. Tofu pudding with syrup to die for. I live in suffering county long island. 39 miles. Worth the trip. I stop here every time after I stop at EW trading around the corner. Jenny and Joe. Awsome.“

“The coffee in this place is something wonderful, whenever I go there is fresh bread. My favorite is the lemon babka and the cheese Danish. The girls are super friendly and the place is always spotless. It’s worth a detour to try this place.“
