“Amazing Indian food in a relaxing and chic setting. Great price for a Michelin star restaurant and service is fantastic. My favorites were the dosa and the mung beans. The squash kurma was a bit bland compared to the other dishes. The cocktails were also incredible.“
“Great new place! Entrée's were pretty good. Really authentic. We had bhendi masala, vegetable jalfreji, and yellow dal. All were really yummy! Rotis were great too. Appetizers could have been a bit better. Service was really top class. Loved the ambiance.“
“Proper non-veg South Indian food! It was so yummy and at a great price point for the area! The mutton keema dosa is especially a must have. And to anyone who read the 2 star review from some user named “A.K.” below mine, this restaurant is South Indian and to dock a restaurant stars because it doesn’t conform to your expectations based on North Indian food is like going to a place in New England and being shocked it doesn’t have Southern Style Fried Chicken because both restaurants are “American”.“
“I was on a work trip and have very special eating needs and Hemant and staff really came through for me on very short notice!!! I will forever remember and HIGHLY recommend to anyone!!! Thank you Hemant and Staff for going above and beyond for me!! Darcy T.“
“This restaurant is amazing. The menu is all vegetarian, prix fixe, and also all you can eat. They also take into account other dietary restrictions. Everything was delicious from the appetizers to the dessert. Our waitress (Divisha) was incredible and explained every dish to us and was beyond attentive. This is a must visit if you're in the city and come hungry!“
“Had not expected something like this during my US travel.Paani Puri assortment was many notch better than what we get in Mumbai.Vibes is all Deshi and representation of PAN India taste.Chandrakala Gujia popular sweet dish from Patna ,Bihar was another pleasant surprise.Vegetarian options: It's not just vegetarian but great taste and perfect blend of spices served with warmth. Loved the place and loved the food.“
“Came here with a large group of friends and had an incredible time! Everything I ate and drank was absolutely delicious and tasted so authentic. I would definitely recommend the Golgappa as an appetizer and the Lotan ke Chole as an entree! Add the Pipli cocktail and it’s a perfect night :)“
“Man what an experience. I never felt pain all over my face until I had the Rouge Big Rowdy Sandwich. If you can handle spice get medium because Rouge genuinely made it impossible to enjoy the Sandwich. After a long break I tried my friend’s sandwich, and it was delicious. Mango lassi was sweet and cold and perfect for when my face was burning.8.5/10“
“My favorite takeout Indian in the area! I usually go Chicken 65 for an appetizer which has (in my opinion) the perfect spicy level between flavor and spicy. For meals, you can’t go wrong with the Chicken Tikka Masala (or Vindaloo) + Garlic “
“From outside it looks like Small boutique Restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine & I just found it while roaming around streets of New York during recent visit & this accidental discovery didn't let me down, food quality & quantity both are amazing, owner is present almost from 11 am to 11 pm & staff is courteous, highly recommended as I visited all the sought after restaurants in town but this one stands out for the gourmet Indian food.“
“Great food and drinks!! The first bite of our appetizer took me back to India. One of the best Indian places I have tried in NYC. Below are the drinks, appetizers and entrees that we tried and can’t recommend them enough.Drinks: Drop the Beet, Silk Road, Old Fashioned, The Golden ChariotAppetizers: Nilgiri chicken and kalonji paneerEntree: Rajwadi Paneer, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and onion- chilli naanMy husband and I can’t wait to be back and try more items from their menu. Hoping we can try their brunch as well!“
“Truly one of the best flavorful biryani I’ve had in a long time! One of my friends had suggested this place, because I’d been craving an authentic biryani for so long…my years spent in Karachi, Pakistan where I’d been addicted to the aromas and the infused spices of biryani, I’d been craving for that taste…Being in NYC, I’d visited so many outlets, but couldn’t get that taste…upon my friend’s recommendation, I came to this place…what a hidden gem! Bhavaani, my attendant was truly knowledgeable about the different types of biryanis. She was truly exceptional and went above and beyond in providing professionalism and outstanding customer service! I ordered the ‘Rishta Lamb Biryani’ which indeed was bursting with so many flavors, and the spices were just perfect…I also enjoyed very much the nice glass of Chardonnay wine, which was a great touch with my meal!!!??All in all, it was such a memorable experience for me, and I will definitely recommend this amazing gem to all my family and friends…❤️❤️❤️“
“We've ordered delivery from here many times in the past. This was our first time eating here. Food is even better fresh. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. We were lucky to walk in and get a table for 2 at 6pm Friday as the place was full.“
“Hands down one of the best authentic Indian food we had in NYC. Everything was so fresh. The owner was very welcoming and truly showcased “atithi devo bhava”. It felt like home. They customized the paneer tikka for my kid and she loved it. Would absolutely visit this place again.. and again.. kudos!!“
“Tamarind Tribeca provided an exceptional dining experience. We started with the flavorful Lasuni Gobhi and Tandoori Mixed Grill, both of which were delicious and well-prepared. The Lasuni Gobhi and Dal Makhani (from the Mixed grill) was a standout, bursting with garlic and spice. For drinks, the Mango Cosmo was a refreshing choice, perfectly balanced and complementing the meal.Moving on to the main course, the Paneer Pasanda and Murgh Kohlapuri were good but not outstanding (maybe we expected more from a Michelin star). The paneer was rich and creamy, while the Murgh Kohlapuri was spicy and flavorful, showcasing Indian flavours. The Cucumber Raita, Lacha Parantha and Garlic Naan were exceptional - soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked. Our server, Siddharth, provided excellent service, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance was upscale yet comfortable, ideal for a special meal or celebration.Overall, Tamarind Tribeca met our expectations with its delicious food, great cocktails, attentive service, and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an upscale Indian dining experience in Tribeca.“
“Food is deeply flavored amazing classic Indian food, coconut naan is extra delicious, lovely calm music, soft lighting nice art and comfy chairs, corkage fee for wine is only €5 bring for yourself a nice dry riesling this place is amazing!“
“We’re surrounded by all sorts of cuisine - except Indian, arguably my favorite. So I was happy to see Gulab come into this space. And it is AWESOME!Easy parking, very comfy and easy atmosphere to dine in .. the staff is SO nice, we love them .. and the food is just great. I’m very picky about ingredients and they accommodate me all the way every time. The menu is easy and plentiful and every single dish I’ve had so far is perfect.Plenty for gluten free, which is hard to find.Oh and - the Gulab special may be the best deal around. We LOVE Gulab!!!“
“Came for momos, left extremely satisfied! Their steamed chicken momos taste authentically Nepali, and the aachar (sauce) is the right amount of savory and spicy. Excellent service and great atmosphere and music. I'll be back to try the chili and jhol momos!“
“Amazingly DELICIOUS very great menu alot to choose from I wanted it all so I started with the salmon tikka I’ll be back to try everything else !!!Tanmay our server was very helpful and hooked us up with mango desert, he’s super cool and welcoming !!!!“
“Diminutive space with down-at-heel appearance —but the urban decay is part of the charm. The samosa and aloo tikki were good. Both are potato heavy but herb seasoning is present and noted and flavorful. They’re large, hot and filling. Great option for cheap filling hot snack if you have cash. $3/ each. Cash only. The English spoken here is barebones strictly transactional English.Vegetarian options: Pretty sure everything here is vegetarian.“
“If you’re from Maharashtra and are tired of substandard pav bhaji and vada pav at every Indian restaurant, then behold - this is the greatest pav bhaji you’ll find in the state.First up - they have the pav that is the closest to what you can get in Maharashtra. Soft and flatter - none of the buffed up nonsense being served up everywhere else. The bhaji itself is excellent and buttery.I’m going to have dreams about this dinner!Highly recommend trying out the gulab jamun as well. It’s made fresh and served hot! Excellent food and thoroughly enjoyed.“
“Such an excellent place with wonderful food. The first time we went, a while ago, we just walked in and had dinner...now it appears you cannot do that as the place is small and packed. So do get yourself a reservation. Or if you haven't had the foresight to do that, you can take the same food home as I just did. I loved the dals, particularly the tadka and every biryani I have tried. The service is smooth and friendly, and my take out order came quickly and was so well-wrapped that it was still quite warm after a slow bus ride in chilly weather. I plan to go back as often as I can....(or take out) -------------------- Second and third time, I tried new things, just as great. I really like this place and will keep coming back. The staff is really welcoming.“
“Ordered the Charred Chicken Bowl, and I must say, it was phenomenal. It had a flavour that was unbeknownst to me in a bowl. The coconut ranch mixed with the habanero sauce, really do create a unique flavour profile. Also, the chicken marination was something that was brand new to me. Do give it a try!“
“Came here for a late dinner double date as we were craving Indian food, and it really hit the spot! They have a wide array of vegetarian and vegan Indian classics. The menu is presented on an iPad which was interesting. I tried the kadai paneer masala (which tasted like a chicken tikka masala with paneer instead of chicken). The flavors were incredible. I also tried some of my partner's Hakka noodles with vegetables (Manchurian), which was filling and had delish. The interior is clean and decor was aesthetically pleasing. Service was kind and they let us stay past the official closing time.“
“I’ve had this place on my list for a while now. I loved trying the kebabs and sharab/drinks (virgin for me!). I loved the colonial-era decor with peacocks and carved wood. The appetizer portion sizes could be improved and the bathrooms could’ve been better too but nothing too bad. The food was really good! Here’s what we had:▪️Dahi ke Kebab (yogurt) 9/10▪️Sardarji Machi (Old Delhi fish) 9/10▪️Doori Kebab with Sheermal (goat) 10/10▪️Paneer Shashlik (cheese skewers) 6/10▪️Old Delhi Korma (mutton) 8/10▪️Bangin’ Baingan (eggplant) 7/10▪️Palak Paneer (spinach and cheese) 5/10?Chai raisin cake with rasmalai milk and chai ice cream 6/10?Mango Chutney (mango, pomegranate) 8/10ps> they’re halal and even brought out dates for the whole restaurant for iftaar!? Follow @nabilalikes on insta for more NYC eatsParking: I got lucky and found street parking a block away but there are many lots too“
“This was my first time trying Indian Food Ever, so I was a little nervous and scared! I arrived, and I was greeted by the lovely manager Tina, she geared us to the bar while our table was ready, and recommended some great drinks, it was less than a 5 minute wait! When I say the eggplant and garlic appetizer was out of this world! The flavors were so unique, and just outright delicious. We then ordered the tiger prawns, which was a surprisingly large serving, topped off by the mint and cilantro cream, I was licking my fingers, after, the pot of lamb with basmati rice, felt like we were eating in someones home eatings moms cooking, topped off by delicious milk dessert, I couldn't have picked a better place to dine. The service was great, all my food arrived right after the other, the servers were so helpful describing every dish, and breaking it down for me. The manager Tina checked on our table, always made sure we were having excellent time.Just the ambiance of the entire restaurant, everyone enjoying the food/music, makes you remember why NYC is so great!“
“Fantastic home made food. By far the best authentic food I have had . Absolutely phenomenal. The food was not too oily, had freshness and depth in flavor and was delivered to the table with a smile, this indeed felt like homemade food. Amazing work! I will be back again and again.“
“This place is an amazing find so close to Times Square! If you are in the are don't miss the opportunity to have dinner, or lunch here. The ambiance is great for a date night, the food is so flavorful and delicious, and the staff are so friendly and attentive.“
“The service at this restaurant was great! We visited on a weekday night and easily found a parking spot right outside. When we walked in, we were given the option to choose our own table and the staff kindly dimmed the bright lights for a more comfortable atmosphere. Although only two visible workers on duty, they were incredibly kind and patient, despite our longer waiting time for food. Here are some examples of their exceptional service:- Our waiter waited patiently while we took our time to order and even explained the menu to us since we were not familiar with Indian cuisine.- When my dad accidentally spilled water on the floor, a waiter immediately came to clean it up.- The staff checked on us regularly and provided us with clean dishes and utensils after each course/meal.(Also there was a free refill for the rice)Overall, we had a great experience at this restaurant and would definitely recommend it to others.Dietary restrictions: My sister is gluten free, soy free, dairy free (she can eat yogurt though but she can't have cow's milk), can't have beef, can't have lentils, can't really have fruit, can't have msg, and some other stuff due to an immunity gut cleanse diet thing. This restaurant was able to accommodate her dietary restrictions nicely and she was able to enjoy her meals without worry.“
“Whoa. Did not expect the quality of this place. Everything was super neat and organized. Staff friendly and accommodating, small place but good food and service. Recommended chicken 65, easily one of the best in NYC. Their curries are also good. Give it a try. Expensive as it is in such a busy area, but worth it!“
“From start to finish, the evening was delightful & the Manager & Wait-Staff were magnificent. Making every effort to ensure our table was attended to, & didn't spare any effort to answer questions, suggest delicious meals, & ensure that we left wanting more. Definitely give this place a try!“
“Had been looking for an Indian restaurant with actually really good and authentic Indian food (really hard to come by in New York) and the food here did not disappoint. I had the three course menu and the portion sizes were just the right size. Not pictured here was the complimentary amuse bouche they brought at the start which was honestly the highlight of the meal, I could have had 5 more. I didn't quite hear what it was but my friend and I LOVED it. Some kind of bread thing and chai flavored soup? Anyway it was delicious. The shrimp and crab were cooked perfectly and very flavorsome. I wasn't too sold on the desserts or the ambience but overall a great dining experience.“
“Best Birayani & more is your go-to spot for mouthwatering biryani. Their aromatic biryani, whether chicken or lamb, is a must-try. But it's not just about biryani—the butter chicken and paneer tikka masala are equally delicious. With generous portions and friendly service, Best Birayani & more is your ticket to a flavor-packed Indian feast.“

“First time visiting this restaurant and it was great! The owner is a very pleasant, hospitable and a kind guy. Went above and beyond to cater to our needs. Food was very good and the owner, as mentioned, was very accommodating.W restaurant; would go again.“
“Im from india. And i really love momo and chawmin. One of my friend suggest me this place. When I went there, the food was so amazing and the server was so friendly. She suggested me nice options. Thanks to her . Next time I will bring my family.Vegetarian options: Paneer chilly ,Veg jhol momo and veg chawmin“
“Fluffies offers fresh and delicious high qualitychicken. The service is fast and friendly. I love the crisp of the signature sandwich! The place was super busy on a Friday night but the staff were friendly and fast service. The dining room needs more attention. Highly recommend trying it.“
“My favourite home town food which is he is serving in the week 4 to 5 days. We really love the food here & drum sticks are must try & samosas are really big size . We can’t imagine in Washington square park NY he is serving dosa in this price! Also vegans, pure vegetarian foods THANK YOU so much mr. Chef THIRU annan . we love you’re food & your hospitality keep rocking ???“
“Saw this place in social media and I knew I had to try it, so I did and it did not let me down. The concept is a blend between mexico and India but the food if absolutely fantastic and very reasonably priced. Highly recommended to try! They have two locations, one in Hells Kitchen and another in Greenwich Village.“
“Always my go-to place for authentic South-Indian. Well, this time the Sambar was out of the world that I had to post this on Yelp! I went for a brunch on a Sunday and had the mini-tiffin. Glad there wasn't a wait time. The mini tiffin was the best thing that happened to me that day lol! The rava-kesari, the sambar, the mini sambar idly and the dosa, were cooked to perfection and served at the right time. The crowds kept getting busier so the quality of service started going down and we had to wait a little while to grab attention.“
“My new favorite Indian restaurant in the city. First of, freshly made food, Indian cooking loses its charm if it's not made fresh. Menu is quite unique and food flavorful. We went in for the Tondoori Pomfret on a friend's recommendation and landed up, loving every dish we ordered. Pani Puri, Bok Choy chaat, tandoori Pineapple, tandoori Pomfret, Spinach Paneer, yellow tadka dal, Naan.A must try restaurant!!!Vegetarian options: Vegan option also available, ask them for recommendations“
“My husband and I went to this restaurant for Valentine's Day dinner, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. I ordered a delicious chicken chettinad and my husband a tikka masala. The chicken was so soft and juicy, and the sauces were amazing! The garlic naan was crispy and cooked to perfection. Our server Anil was super attentive and nice, and made the whole experience even more pleasant. The owner and chef (Mohammed) came to our table to see if everything was right and to thank us for the visit. We highly recommend this place.“
“Ate at spice symphony whilst visiting New York and was delighted ! The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful, offering suggestions for appetisers and information to assist choosing entrees. The food was lovely, great flavour and good quality. My fish curry was just perfect. I’d certainly recommend.“
“The chicken tikka masala and the naan feels authentic and is just a comforting but binge worthy meal to have. Their tandoori chicken wings are quite good as well. The naan tacos are better than the roti tacos cuz the rotis just disintegrate when you add all the toppings. Love all their chutneys as well!“
“I always saw this restaurant walking or driving by and always wanted to go in For apps we got the jalapeno samosa and they were amazing. We also tried the cauliflower bites and this spinach chaat which were amazing. We also got the achari chicken as an app and with the chutneys it was probably the best thing on the menu. For main course we got a butter chicken and a paneer tikka masala and were solid options. Service was good. Everyone was attentive. Kinda small place but loved the decor and the mural on the wall.“
“Met work colleagues for dinner here. The restaurant felt warm and cozy. The service was good; The food was even better. We had a different array of appetizers (tandoori chicken, vegetable samosas, chicken samosas, crispy okra, masala shrimp cocktail, and paani puri), followed by our main courses which were exceptional as well ( butter chicken, chicken biryani, string beans, chicken curry). Don't skip on dessert; the sticky toffee pudding was to die for. It was a night of full bellies and laughter. Will be definitely be coming back and adding it to my rolodex of restaurants.“
“It’s the best Indian spot in town!!! Loved everything from service to ambience to the food .. the best dish so far was the mutton sukkha …it has the authentic Kerala style mutton sukkha which I would say is the best in whole east coast not just New York… the drinks are also so authentic amazing job overall… if you are looking for the best Indian restaurant in New York then this is it!!“
“Got the chicken over rice here and wasn't expecting much but was surprised by the value and taste. The serving was more than enough for two people and the taste was good. He even put in extra sauce and salad for us. No nonsense and definitely would recommend this food truck if you're looking for halal food in SoHo.“
“Delicious, quality product at a mid-range price. It would be extraordinary value if rice or Naan were included, not the case here, but it is also a pretty standard way that many Indian restos charge up for their food.Having said that, the food will not disappoint and this location is a quaint little spot.Vegetarian options: On this occasion I ordered palak shorba soup, chana masala and rice.“
“Ordered via UberEats on a Thursday at around 7. There was a promotion for BOGO free on certain items. So I ordered 2 chicken kadai (each comes with a rice) and 2 egg biryani, and an order of samosas. I've never tried either of the dishes but figured why not? It's BOGO and I can expand my palette on Indian food. I really liked the chicken kadai. The chicken was nice and tender, and the sauce was the perfect amount of spicy. The egg biryani was just okay - basically just seasoned rice with hard boiled egg. I probably wouldn't get this again. Samosas were pretty standard. The portions are big. We had SO much food that we had to eat this across 4 meals. Needless to say, we were pretty tired of eating it by the end. I probably wouldn't do the BOGO option again, but I would like to dine in and try some other dishes fresh.“
