“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“We passed by this restaurant last week on our way to Irish Rep Theater and decided to give it a try. What a wonderful find! It is a charming restaurant with an attractive open kitchen and nice counter to watch the action. Tables are well spaced and comfortable. From the moment we sat down our server, Milos, could not have been more hospitable. He knew the menu well and was helpful with suggestions on both food and wines. He was professional and efficient and welcoming. The food was outstanding. They have a happy hour with delicious oysters and a nice variety of spreads and other small plates. A meal could easily be made at happy hour. The food was beautifully plated and delicious and of note the sauteed shrimp were perfectly cooked. There is much more on the menu we would like to try. We will be returning with a larger party next time to share many delicious plates. A wonderful addition to our NYC favorite spots.“

“Nice Mediterranean spot, might want a reservation as it is a bit small. Excellent dessert selections and pastries. We enjoyed the calamari, hummus, and the mixed grill and decided the lamb chops were the best part. All of it was delicious but I would order just lamb chops next time, the mixed grill is a nice way to try several meats. The hummus and pita were very good as was the calamari and the sauce it was served with was very nice as well.“

My husband had the tagliolini al Amalfi limone, which had bright notes of lemon balanced with saltiness from the cheese. “We had a very tasty and satisfying small dinner which consisted of an appetizer of perfectly spiced lamb sambousek with a chicken shawarma wrap split between us. The one chicken sandwich was ample and more than enough food for both of us.

Our waitress Marcela was very elegant and explained all of our questions about the portion sizes, ingredients, etc. She was very accommodating, bringing sauces like gatlic yogurt sauce and red chili sauce to complement what we ate.
